The private lakeside lawn, pier, pagoda and boat slips are townhome development common areas available to all the homeowners and their guests. Our registered guests can share these spaces along with other community owner's and guests.

Boat slips/docking space is limited and on first come/first serve basis. Usually space is not an issue, but it can be on major summer holidays. Our guests are usually able to bring or rent one (1) boat, prior approval required.

We are here for you during your stay -- a text/phone call away. You will be able to self check-in.

Centrally located, close to downtown, restaurants, stores and groceries -- many of which are within walking distance.

The Daquiri Diner just a short walk up the hill next to the Subway offers free dinner on Wednesday nights -- to go along with your drink of choice. NOTE: This neighborhood bar attracts an older crowds, pets welcome, but no children because of gambling station.

Walk to fast food (Subway, Taco Bell, Burger King, local drive-in), restaurants, bar and grocery.

2 minute drive to Walmart, and numerous restaurant options.

3 minute drive to downtown New Roads with many eateries, bars, shops, boat launch/public pier, parks and specialty grocer.

You can expect and the other townhome owners demand a family-friendly, quiet, peaceful experience at the lake, free of rowdy behavior, loud talk and music, noisy commotion or late-night parties.

Bee Happy is situated on the water in south Louisiana. Professional pest control is employed. But bugs, gnats, gekkos, lizards, mosquitos, spiders, birds, alligators, minks, snakes and other native species are part of life on the lake. It is inevitable that spider webs and bird poop will show up in outdoor porches shortly after cleaning. Tips on how to mitigate inconvenience on account of pests is in the Bee Happy Digital Guidebook sent to you after booking.

If problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but no one is living on-site 24/7. New Roads is a small town in a rural area, and it may not be feasible to address certain maintenance issues quickly, especially on weekends and holidays.

Wonderful weekend on the False River

My husband and I had a very enjoyable long weekend at Bee Happy! We enjoyed the two lovely outdoor areas facing the water as the weather was great. It has two floors with access from the garage into a lovely seating area with a library of books 1/2 bath and foosball table. Second floor is bathed in sunlight. Decorated with yellows and grays with bee decor. The kitchen is very large with enough counter space to serve a large family. Lots kitchen basics are stocked as well. Three comfortable bedrooms with lots of closet space and extra blankets and pillows The garage has a closet for washer and dryer and closet with lots of swim toys for kids. It also has a lovely gas grill on the deck. It was just two of us staying but could accommodate a large family easily. I will return as we have family in the area. James was remarkable to work with, the unit is easy to find and perfect especially if you want water access.
