Melanie, you’re quite the character and I find this smear campaign laughable —given the fact that you’re making a conscious effort to fabricate a review 17 days after your extended weekend stay. Which just so happens to come 24 hrs after your pathetic attempt of threatening me with a bad review in hopes of recouping a $1,500 refund. Why didn’t you reach out with these concerns on the day of checkin? The galvanized screw (not sharp) in the rug clearly fell from the table sitting above— that’s why it fell upright. You could’ve simply picked that up. There was no way to step on that bc it was UNDER a table. On the day of your arrival, we refunded your $140 early arrival fee due to the previous guests doing a number on the place so, we weren’t able to accommodate your 1pm arrival. So, clearly we chose not rush the process turnover process! You accusing us of “unwashed sheets” is the most infuriating thing from your rant. I’ve hosted hundred of bookings in my 4 years of hosting and you’re the first one to say something like this. With 5 listings one thing we’re not short on are bed linings. Furthermore, since you claim to receive the place in bad conditions— you left it worse. You followed zero checkout directions and one of your 16 friends left with one of my art pieces. Your sense of privilege is prevalent throughout during our correspondence prior to arrival and even more so, after the fact. You’re on a short list of guests that I wish never booked.
