Die Hütte hat eine Gourmetküche (Speckstein-Arbeitsplatten / Farmspüle, Induktionskochfeld), breite Dielenböden aus Eichenholz und Kunst / Holzarbeiten / Metallskulpturen / Buntglas von lokalen Handwerkern. Im Jahr 2016 abgeschlossene Renovierungsarbeiten mit allen neuen Geräten (einschließlich Waschmaschine / Trockner-Kombigerät) und neuen Möbeln. Gaskamin und antike Beleuchtung. Kostenloses WLAN, Kabel-TV mit vielen Kanälen, DVR und Netflix. Für vier Personen: King-Size-Bett und Himmelslicht für die Sternbeobachtung im Master, zwei Twin XL, die im 2. BR zum King umgebaut werden können. Genießen Sie die herrliche Aussicht und den Garten von der schattigen Terrasse mit Pinienbäumen oder der intimen überdachten Terrasse im Hintergrund.

Ein lokaler Handwerker, Dale White, hat eine erstaunliche Veränderung vorgenommen, indem er Käfer-Kiefer (Blaufleck) an den Decken und Einbauten verwendet hat. Das Haus ist nur 750 Quadratmeter groß, wirkt aber durch die gewölbten Decken, den offenen Grundriss und die verschiedenen Einbauten viel größer. Die Schränke sind aus viertelgesägter Eiche, und der Küchentischfuß stammt von einem alten Heizkessel. Der Waschtisch ist aus antikem Kiefernholz gefertigt und mit einer Specksteinwaschbecken-Theke versehen. Ich habe das Gefühl, dass die Hütte selbst Kunst ist und ich liebe es, darin zu sein. Ich hoffe du wirst es auch.

Cabin ist Blocks von Wanderwegen, Schwimmbad, Green Mtn Falls See und Restaurants. Green Mountain Falls ist eine malerische und ruhige Stadt. Diese Hütte ist ein ruhiger Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Air Force Academy, nach Broadmoor, Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs und zu vielen anderen nahe gelegenen Orten. Die Pikes Peak Region ist ein wunderbarer Ort zum Angeln, Radfahren und Wandern. Es ist ein verträumter Ort. Komm und bleib!

I truly couldn’t have asked for more from my stay here! Lisa’s communication was prompt, thorough, and kind. The property was immaculately clean and had all the things I could have wanted, big and little. The location is ideal, only about 15-20 minutes from the Garden of the Gods and a ton of other hiking trails. I loved my stay here and can’t wait to come back.

Stop looking - this IS the most fantastic cabin. I promise you will not be sorry you book a stay here. The Host is fantastic - even gave us a bottle of wine and fresh baked pie. The cabin is VERY well appointed - every details has been considered, well stocked kitchen, bathroom and super comfy beds. Excellent WiFi and location is perfect if you are visiting the sites or just want low key time away. Only complaint - we didn't get to stay longer. You will not be disappointed with this property. Don't look any further.

We loved our stay at Cabin in the Woods. It was beautiful and clean, had everything we needed in terms of amenities, and it's location was the perfect place for our adventures to various locations around Green Mountain Falls. The property provided various areas so our family could spread out when needed while providing a great space for us to spend together. The property manager was AMAZING and ensured our stay was enjoyable. We also took advantage of nearby hikes and the community pool all in walking distance.

We had such a lovely stay for our family summer vacation! The host communicated everything we needed to know before and during our stay, and was delightful to work with. From the moment we arrived to see the cozy cabin and find a delicious apple pie waiting for us in the kitchen, to the beautiful views of the mountains out the front windows, to the warm and comfortable rooms, we were in heaven! Our 4 year old son enjoyed playing with the legos and train set and running around in the back yard. It’s a great location, not far from many attractions and activities in surrounding cities, and the town of Green Mountain Falls was really sweet. We enjoyed walks around the lake and gazebo, and a nearby playground for our son, as well as several excellent restaurants all within walking distance. We would absolutely come stay again and recommend to all our family and friends! Thanks for sharing such a wonderful place!

Our Colorado vacation kicked off with an absolutely amazing stay! Lisa is an incredible host, and her property was truly exceptional. From the moment we booked, Lisa provided outstanding communication, and to our delight, she even left us the best apple pie I've ever tasted. The crust was perfectly flaky, and the sweet, delicious filling made our trip even more special.Beyond the delicious treats, Lisa's place is fully stocked, allowing us to easily grill up steaks for an amazing meal. The property is also spotlessly clean, and the view from the front porch provided the most relaxing and peaceful setting for our morning coffee. Wonderful Stay in GMF

Lisa’s property was a dream come true! She has made a home away from home. Cabin in the Pines is complete with most everything a traveler could need (including a freshly baked homemade pie upon arrival). The location has an incredible view and is in walking distance to hiking trails, dining, and shopping. Our family of four had an incredible summer stay and are hoping to book something again soon!

Best VRBO experience!

Everything about this property and my stay was perfect. From the welcome pie (homemade apple!) to the house manual which is comprehensive and extremely helpful; from the view to the linens, my experience was top notch! I’ve been coming to GMF all my life, so on this trip I wanted to unplug, relax, and renew my soul. That’s exactly what I did! Without exception, this is the best equipped VRBO property I’ve ever stayed in. Lisa has thought of everything! If you sit on the deck and are very quiet, you can hear the one trees sing. It’s amazing.

One of my favorite vacation rentals ever!

What a wonderful place! If I could give Lisa 10 stars I would! As someone who owns a short term rental, I really appreciate the extra steps Lisa put in to make our stay wonderful! We reached out to her very last minute due to needing to find a new place to stay after our previous rental was awful and not as pictured. Lisa quickly responded and was able to accommodate our last minute request for my family and I! Upon arriving she had a delicious apple pie waiting for us! Ultimate Style, Comfort, & Hospitality

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon trip - Cabin in the Pines was an absolute dream. First, the cabin has been lovingly designed to strike the perfect balance between comfort and style. The furniture was very comfortable, and we loved the charm that the decor added to each room. But the true ‘wow’ factor that makes this cabin stand out is the owner’s superb hospitality. From the homemade apple pie and wine that greeted us, to the kitchen and restroom well stocked with every amenity, Lisa makes sure that you will have an enjoyable stay. Her communication is excellent and she even provides you with recommendations on dining and activities in the area. We had a spectacular experience and would visit again tomorrow if we could. I highly recommend Cabin in the Pines for your stay in the Manitou Springs/Pikes Peak area.

Lisa was an excellent host! She made sure our check in went smooth and the cabin was stocked with everything we needed - plus more! Fantastic home, great location, great host

We couldn't be happier with our 3 day stay. The house was beautifully finished and furnished, with far more supplies and cooking utensils than any other vacation rental we have used. The location was great for hikes out the door (in the hills around the little town of Green Mountain Falls) and also within a short distance. (We drove the 25 minutes up to Mueller State Park and enjoyed some of the 40 miles of hiking with great views of golden aspen trees and Pike's Peak). Colorado Springs is also 25 minutes down Rt 24. Finally, Lisa, the host, was perfectly gracious and welcoming... and responsive to any requests we made. The homemade apple pie was just the first of many caring touches. So, we will definitely stay there again when visiting the area.

We have rented many different homes in Green Mountain Falls and Lisa’s home is by far the best ever! It’s over the top filled with her over the top hospitality! You could not feel more at home. Peaceful, beautiful, restful. We can’t wait for the opportunity to return. The delicious apple pie that awaits upon arrival doesn’t hurt either.

The Cabin in the Pines was such a great location to celebrate an anniversary. The cabin itself is beautiful, super clean & had everything in it that we could possibly need…..but the star to this little cabin is Lisa the host-she is a dream! After getting to know Lisa-this cabin is an extension of her-she made us feel right at home the moment we stepped over the threshold-the fresh, homemade apple pie waiting for us with a note hoping we had a great anniversary….She left very good details on local places to eat & sights to see. We will definitely return to Lisa’s cabin! By far - this was the best VRBO experience we have ever had.

Fresh Baked Fun!

Our stay at the Cabin in the Pines was absolutely FANTASTIC! My son and I flew into Colorado Springs for an unplanned, long weekend getaway, and Lisa was able to accommodate us at the last minute. She answered my message inquiring about her property ASAP and stayed in touch with us for the rest of our stay. The cabin is beautiful, and Lisa has thought of EVERYTHING to make your stay comfortable, fun, and stress-free. I was in the tourism and hospitality industry for many years, so I have pretty high expectations when it comes to my accommodations, and the Cabin in the Pines definitely surpassed those expectations by a mountain mile! I would love to stay here again and show it off to the rest of my family someday. My 11 year old son was in complete awe of the entire cabin and the surrounding scenery as well. We had so much fun together in C-Springs and the surrounding areas, and Lisa's cabin was a HUGE part of that fun. Thank you for everything, Lisa!

I also love hiking with my two dogs, gardening, baking, and visiting National Parks and seeing family at my Chicago roots. I have been a resident of our wonderful town since 1989.

Last year we purchased the cabin from our adopted Parents/Grandparents/Neighbors, after they could no longer come to the mountains to escape the Kansas heat and enjoy the mountains. The cabin was sentimental to both my two children and myself, and we couldn't bear to see anyone else own the cabin. So we decided to renovate it and host guests in the cabin. We hope we have made Gary and Phyl proud, and are as welcoming to you in this cabin as they were to us all those 28 years.

The Cabin has always been really charming on the outside. The deck with it's expansive mountain views is so relaxing. The covered patio off the kitchen with rock table and views of the garden is very intimate. The locals are kind and friendly, and I love my neighbors!

After we bought it from Gary and Phyl, we sought to make the inside as great as the outside. A local craftsman, Dale White, did an amazing transformation, using beetle kill pine (blue stain) on the ceilings and built-ins. The home is only 750 square feet, but it feels much larger with the vaulted ceilings, open floor plan, and various built-ins. The cabinets are quarter sawn oak, and the kitchen table base is from an old boiler. The bathroom vanity is made from ancient bristlecone pine, with a soapstone sink/counter. Local artist Doyle Svenby's metal work is on the kitchen wall and his metal art sculpture is out back. I've really enjoyed creating the gardens. It's my therapy. Martha Wheeler, has her pencil drawings displayed. And Dana Keys has a beautiful stained glass window in one of the bedroom doors. I feel like the cabin itself is art, and I love being in it. I hope you will too.
