Als Jim & Lisa beschlossen, ihr Strandhaus zu renovieren, wollten sie nur Komfort. „Wir wollten, dass das Haus komfortabel, aber auch lustig und aufregend ist. Die Idee war, das Gefühl zu vermitteln, in ein Strandhaus zu kommen, in dem man weiß, dass man eine gute Zeit haben wird. Das Cottage war ursprünglich ein "Gästehaus" für ein größeres Anwesen in der Sackgasse und spiegelt nun North Carolinas strandliebenden Lebensstil wider. Neu renoviert und schön eingerichtet, ist dieses 2. 5 Schlafzimmer, 1. 5 Badezimmer Eigentum aktualisiert, um Ihre Standards mit allen Notwendigkeiten von zu Hause zu übertreffen. Das Hotel liegt in Nags Head an der Milepost 11, einer großartigen zentralen Lage zu vielen fabelhaften Restaurants, Strandaktivitäten und nationalen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Machen Sie einen Spaziergang zum Nags Head Pier, Tortugas 'Lie und Lucky 12 Tavern oder fahren Sie mit dem Fahrrad zu mehreren Kunstgalerien, Cafés, Eisdielen und sogar zum Jockey's Ridge State Park (den größten Dünen an der Ostküste, die unglaubliche Aussichten versprechen) Sonnenuntergänge). Kinder und Erwachsene können eine Partie Putt Putt auf dem Galaxy Golf (17 Minuten zu Fuß) spielen. Haustiere sind willkommen. Renovierte Küche mit allen neuen Geräten (Kühl- / Gefrierschrank, Herd, Geschirrspüler, Mikrowelle). Neuer Boden im ganzen Haus! Aktualisierte Badezimmer und neue Medien, darunter drei Flachbildfernseher (50 "Wohnzimmer & 40" im Hauptschlafzimmer) und (1) 32 "Flachbildfernseher mit DVD nur im 1/2 (Schlafsofa / Zweibettzimmer / Medienraum). Das Wohnzimmer verfügt über 5 Bose-Lautsprecher (Surround-Sound), Stereo-Verstärker und iPod-fähig. Eingebettet auf einem großen Eckgrundstück, einen einfachen Spaziergang zum Strand (weniger als 5 Minuten zu Fuß zum Bladen Street Beach Zugang, der keine Stufen zum Strand hat. Das Ferienhaus liegt in einer Gegend ohne Durchgangsverkehr, was die Lage sicher und ruhig macht. Du wirst nicht enttäuscht sein...

Excellent Cottage at Nags Head

My family and I (2 adults, 2 kids, and 1 dog) stayed at Blue Sky in July 2025 and absolutely loved it. We had a great experience. The owner Jim is an outstanding host and the cottage is cozy with a great backyard. It is also in a great location, only a few minutes walk from the beach as well as Dowdy Park. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay in OBX

We absolutely loved our stay. Jim was a perfect host and we appreciated all of his suggestions on places to eat and visit. I really loved the fenced-in backyard for my dogs as well as the great deck and back yard. We are looking forward to visiting again next year!

Relaxing Getaway

The location is excellent- short walk to the beach and several restaurants. The property was clean and looked just like the pictures. We loved having the hammocks to relax in. The dogs loved the fenced in backyard. The host was easy to contact and helpful. Overall a great stay.

Fabulous property

We had a terrific stay at Sky Blue. The house was very clean and well equipped with all the dishes and kitchen supplies we needed. We loved the proximity to the beach and the house was the perfect size for our family of 4. We also loved the fenced in backyard for our dog. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot and Jim and Lisa were fabulous hosts.

Great place to stay!

Our first time visiting the Outer Banks and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to stay at Sky Blue! We were just a quick walk away from the beach and in a central location for many restaurants and activities. This pet friendly home allowed us to bring along our dog, Tilly for her first vacation! Tilly loved playing outside in the fenced in back yard! If we find ourselves in obx again, we would love to stay at Sky Blue again!

Great cottage!

Sky Blue cottage was excellent. The owner welcomed us, showed us around and gave us some information about local attractions. The cottage was very clean and had personal touches. The back yard was fenced and perfect for our dog. The outdoor shower was great! Very close walk to the beach. Would definitely recommend to anyone going to this area and would love to stay again.

Great getaway

The property was just right for us! It was clean, well taken care of, and had everything we needed. It was a five minute walk to the beach and in a quiet neighborhood. It was also close to shops and restaurants too. The owner was always accessible and very friendly. They had some great suggestions and were very helpful. We highly recommend staying there.

Girls get away

The house was close to the beach and some local places to eat. The yard had some shade from trees which made it enjoyable for the dog to sit out there all day. Had a nice outdoor shower and separate area to rinse stuff off. Owners were polite and helpful with suggestions of things to do.

Cozy beach cottage

This property was fairly represented in the photos and description. The cottage is cozy and perfectly situated if you are looking for some quiet relaxation with an easy walk to the beach and close proximity to lots of activities. There are several of Nags Head's popular restaurants within walking distance. The owner was super friendly, attentive and helpful, definitely wanting to give the best experiences to his guests. Backyard is a huge plus if you bring a dog and the charming touches that the owners bring to every piece of the cottage did not go unnoticed. Definitely would recommend a stay here.

Sky Blue Sky

So, we decided to schedule a last minute vacation to the OBX, for old times sake, and for some unknown reason Sky Blue was available. Boy, did we luck out!! Perfect place for the me and the wife, our daughter and her boyfriend, we all felt right at home and had really great week. Everything in the previous 5 star reviews of Sky Blue is accurate... Clean, quiet location, private, perfect distance from the beach, and all the happening spots in Nags Head. The owner, Jim, could not have been nicer, or more accommodating. Absolutely deserving of 5 stars... It's also great to know we have a perfect little spot in Nags Head for our next trip there... Thanks Jim!

Excellent home, excellent location and most excellent owners!

We were just at this lovely home in Nags Head this past week and we absolutely loved it! Jim and Lisa were extremely friendly and helpful and just a phone call away for whatever we needed. The home itself was perfect for our family of 3 and 1 latecomer. It was just 3 blocks from a great beach and short driving distances to everything else we needed. The house was extremely clean and well decorated and had everything. The small fee for the linens was worth it since it was all very nice! The outdoor shower was also great after a long day at the beach. The backyard was also well shaded and so we spent time hanging out. Loved the quiet neighborhood. We will definitely be back. Thank you Jim and Lisa! We had a perfect week at your lovely beach house!

We have taking a lot of pride in bring this 1970's beach rancher into today's 2016 standards . Sitting on 2 lots makes it very quite and having 200+ year old nags head oaks provide good shade . Perfect Quiet Location

I've been coming to the OBX off and on since the late '70s and consistently for the past 10 years. This is one of my favorite areas of Nags Head. Having said that, Sky Blue is on a cul-de-sac off of a very quiet street. We were here in late September and sitting on the deck was the quietest I've experienced in a long time. The house is great. It's the first I've stayed in a ground level ranch vs multi-level beach house. Again, this added to the relaxed feel and kind of made us feel like residents rather than visitors. The back deck area is even nicer than the pictures would indicate. There's something magical about sitting under the live oaks and Jim's addition of the lighting in the trees is perfect. The outside shower seems like a strange thing to comment on but it is great! Again, the lights made it perfect for use at night. Jim is a great host and clearly cares about the house and property and knowing your stay is a good one. Back to location. As indicated it is a reasonable walk to the beach and to 2 restaurants and the fishing pier. Given the layout of the OBX this walking access to restaurants is kind of unusual especially when you combine it with the quiet location of the house itself. It's a great value, I highly recommend it.

Perfect for the Pups

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in OBX for us or the dogs. Completely fenced in large yard that always had shade no matter what time of day. Short 5 minute walk through a quiet neighborhood to the dog friendly beach. Jim and Lisa clearly put a lot of love and care into this property. House was immaculate, kitchen was well stocked, and the outdoor shower was amazing. Jim and Lisa were friendly, helpful, and super responsive. Would not stay anywhere else in OBX!

Lovely ground level home with a cottage feel and great location. Within walking distance to the beach without steps to access. Short walk to the farmers market and close to numerous businesses. Great shade trees and outside amenities. Owner was wonderful and quick to respond to our queries. Pet friendly with fenced in back yard! Would rent here again!

Wonderful place.

Sky Blue was perfect for our needs. We have a dog and it was nice that he could be in the fenced yard/ he didn’t need to be on leash him every time he needed a bathroom break! Beach is an easy five min walk. House was nice and clean, nicely decorated and has all the basics needed. Patio and grill if you like to BBQ. Host Jim was terrific.

Jim is an amazing host - they have a wonderful place

Outstanding rental - they care tremendously about this house and it shows. Thoughtful touches and very clean. Kitchen is ready to go for cooking. Very functional for beach - outdoor hose easily accessible and a wonderful outdoor shower. Backyard area is wonderful and quick walk to the beach. A+.

Perfect Place!

We had the best stay here! "Sky Blue" was the perfect cottage for our family of four. The home was beautifully appointed with everything we could have needed and wanted in a place to stay. It was literally a 3-5min walk from the beach and right nearby stores, shopping and dining. From the outdoor shower (game changer), to the hammocks, we couldn't have asked for more. Jim (owner) was so helpful from start to finish; if we come back to Outer Banks we'll be staying here again for sure. - Coleman Family

The cottage is painted in a pale yellow and sky blue inspired by a beautiful seashell, which gives it a weathered, beachy feel throughout. Vintage-inspired beaded board lends even more character to the rooms while the white keeps the kitchen fresh and crisp. Jim and Lisa scoured antiques and consignment stores for the furnishings, which provides a local coastal feel. Neutral bedrooms and a rustic living room complete the space.

We monthly spray against mosquitoes ( barrier spray ) which drastically reduces those biting critters ... which means you and your love ones get to enjoy the outside ( deck , hammocks & yard ) trust me .. it works
