Bequem zu Fuß entlang einer ruhigen Sackgasse in das malerische Dorf Alden. Dieses Haus mit 140 Fuß direktem Zugang zum See und geräumigem Wohn-, Ess- und Küchenbereich mit offenem Grundriss ist ideal für Familien. Die gut ausgestattete Küche verfügt über einen Elektroherd, einen Geschirrspüler und die üblichen Haushaltsgeräte (z. B. Mixer, Kaffeemaschine usw.) sowie eine Waschmaschine und einen Trockner. Steinterrasse mit Blick auf den See. Die angebaute Garage für eineinhalb Autos mit automatischem Türöffner bietet Platz für Auto und Ausrüstung. Kurzes Dock bietet einfachen Zugang zum See.

Die Landschaft ist attraktiv und der Garten bietet viel Platz für Picknicks, Spiele, Sonnenbaden usw. Off-Shore- / Short-Dock-Anlegeplätze für kleine Boote sind verfügbar, aber wegen der Größe des Sees nicht für Übernachtungen empfohlen. Größere Motorboote können vom günstig gelegenen Hafen aus gestartet werden. Freundliche und hilfsbereite Besitzer wohnen auf der anderen Straßenseite und reservieren den Dock- und Hofbereich neben dem Miethaus für den persönlichen Gebrauch. Nachbarn sind rücksichtsvoll. Mieter werden die entspannte Atmosphäre genießen.

Bringen Sie Ihre Ausrüstung für viele Aktivitäten in der Nähe mit: Wandern, Radfahren, Angeln, Wassersport (Bootsparken möglich), Golfen - um nur einige zu nennen. Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe von Torch River und DeWitt Marina, Traverse City, Charlevoix, Petoskey, Boyne oder der Halbinsel Leelanau - alle sind nur eine kurze Autofahrt entfernt. Tagesausflüge zu den Sleeping Bear Dunes sind ebenfalls einfach.

Details: Hauptschlafzimmer mit Queensize-Bett; Schlafzimmer 1 hat Königin; Schlafzimmer 2 hat zwei Einzelbetten. und ein Doppel. Neue Matratzen / Boxspringbetten wurden 2019 für alle außer dem Hauptschlafzimmer (das früher ersetzt wurde) gekauft. Kissen neu im Jahr 2018. Das Ausziehsofa im Wohnzimmer bietet zusätzlichen Schlafraum. Esstisch bietet Platz für acht. Die abgeschirmte Veranda bietet Platz für 6 Personen. Bettwäsche und Handtücher inklusive. Die Zimmer sind mit Ausnahme der Küche und der Veranda mit Teppichboden ausgelegt. Kabel-TV, WLAN und Müllabfuhr inbegriffen.

Summer fun!

Our family really enjoyed our stay. May be our favorite rental yet. The location is PERFECT! Short walk to Alden for breakfast, park, ice cream, shopping and short trip by boat to the sandbar! House was bigger than expected, screened in porch was such a nice feature, owners were extremely nice and very quick to answer any questions! Kayak and paddle board were a bonus. We will be back! Thank you!

Torch Lake June 2023 Alden

Overall this was a wonderful property to spend the week. The house was in good condition, with new carpets, recently updated laundry, and well stocked kitchen. The owners allowed access to the garage and storage area where we could use the various water toys, gas grill, charcoal grill, and other useful add ons. This alone added immense value for us since we didn't need to haul those things with us. Dorthy and Bob are very nice hosts and accommodating. I would stay here again!

Great Property for our family

The property is located on a dead end street within short walking distance to Alden which made for great strolls to town for shopping, wine tasting, muffins & ice-cream. The boat launch was also right downtown so it was super quick and easy to drop in and take out our boat. We tied up to mooring at the house on calm nights but had to pull the boat out when winds picked up. East side of lake is definitely more impacted by winds - keep in mind if brining your boat. Owners live behind the house & are very helpful. The house itself is well equipped and very open and spacious. The screened porch was to die for! We spent all our meals out there, and had beautiful views of the sunset from the dock. We had a relaxing and wonderful time at this lovely home! Thank you Dorthy for hosting us!

Beautiful location on Torch Lake with screened in porch.

We enjoyed the porch many times, watching the lake, the sunsets, and sipping on wine with our friends. The cottage was cozy, very clean and had most everything we needed. The location was perfect, close to Alden and many other places we wanted to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will book again.

Perfect location

A group of friends and family stayed at Bob and Dorothy’s rental on the water. It was perfect! The location, view and house. Dorothy and Bob were very accommodating. There was 8 of us and the house was plenty big enough that we didn’t feel crowded when we were in the house. Would definitely rent the house again!!

Wonderful Torch Lake Memories

A beautiful, comfortable cottage. The beds slept well, the place was very clean and had everything that one would need for a vacation (even a drying rack in the garage for the never-ending parade of wet bathing suits). We rented a boat for our stay, and left it moored at the property most evenings, returning it to a dry dock when the weather was stormy. Torch lake is a gem, and this place has everything you need. The town of Alden is very cute, with great ice cream, etc. I would definitely stay here again.

One of the most relaxing vacation stays, ever!

Our stay was better than we ever expected. The home was large, well kept, and well stocked. The owners were the nicest hosts we have ever experienced. They were quick to show / tell us about spots for photography, eating out, breweries and finding eagles. The home came with the use of a kayak and paddle board, which my husband used numerous times. The screened porch was perfect for enjoying the late afternoon before sunset. Speaking of sunsets, they were absolutely wonderful. Every night! This property was a vacation in itself. No need to go anywhere else.

Fantastic!!

This is a great place for a vacation getaway - relatively secluded and beautifully situated on Torch Lake. The house is beautiful with wonderful accommodations. The three season porch is a super place for morning coffee or a hand of cards at the end of a tiring day. Bob and Dorothy were very accommodating hosts. Stayed here for a week with my wife, sister, and brother-in-law and we are already making plans for a return visit next summer. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all - I highly recommend this exquisite property!!

Clean, roomy, quiet, and waterfront

Our stay in Alden, MI was perfect. The house was lovely and the property was huge. Upon arrival, Dorothy and Bob took care to make sure that we were comfortable and that we knew various details of the house and the surrounding area. We were well taken care of! Alden and the surrounding area is very nice and we had a blast. One of the best vacations we have taken to date.

A True Gem on Torch Lake!

Our group consisted of 3 couples and this was our first visit to Torch Lake. We chose this home based on reviews. We could not have made a better choice, this was perfect for us! The owner, Dorothy, and her son were friendly and very helpful. The location is perfect! Close to Alden and the famous Torch Lake sand bar and breathtaking sunsets from the screened in patio. The home is exceptionally clean and well stocked. It is so well stocked and inviting, we felt more like we were visiting family than renting. There is plenty of room to cook and eat together and we never felt cramped. Unlike many rentals, there were plenty of sheets, towels .. everything we need right down to games. Even WiFi! Bellaire is a short drive away and we enjoyed Short's Brewery. Traverse City is only 30 minutes away and we enjoyed wine tastings on Mission Point and dinner at The Filling Station. Alden has stores and restaurants (don't miss the Alden Mill Kitchen Store!). There was easy, close access to drop our boats in Torch Lake. This home is an excellent choice for couples or families! We would give 6 stars if we could!

Perfect Property

Our family of 5 only had the privilege of staying 3 nights on Torch Lake, would have stayed longer if our schedule permitted. This home was perfect for us. Plenty of room inside & outside. The home was very clean, comfortable & inviting. Even though we rented a boat, we spent a lot of time in the front yard watching the kids swim, sunbathing & just enjoying the view. We didn't pack a lot of food, so anything we needed we were able to walk to the town of Alden & Higgins General Store to pick up. I recommend breakfast at Alden Bar & Grill. Short's Brewery was a short drive & had great food. Dockside was always crowded and food was just okay. As for the home, even though there is no air conditioning, we stayed comfortable by opening the windows at night & closing them during the day, even when the temp reached 90 degrees one day. My favorite was the screened in sun porch, where we ate our meals & played board games (they had tons to choose from). The owners were close by so they quickly answered any questions we had & even let us use the kayaks and other water toys they had on hand. The home also had lots of literature, and resource guides of to things to do in the area. I had to think hard to find something wrong with this home, and the only thing I could come up with is they could use some new/firmer pillows on the beds. Thanks for the short but very memorable stay at Torch Lake. We hope to be back very soon!

Please note: this property is occasionally offered on Craig's List. That listing is ALWAYS a scam. It has been flagged as a warning and reported to CL as a scam, but it keeps resurfacing.

This is an ideal place for a summer vacation. The lake is one of the most beautiful in the country, clear and very clean. The house is partially carpeted and all on one level (except for one step from the garage and then another into the porch) so that people of all ages can enjoy living comfortably.
