Where you choose to stay is an essential part of your unique vacation experience, so we want to be sure you make the right decision!
Our poolside suite at Camp Akumal is located in a gated 4-acre complex with 8 other vacation rental houses. Your host family also lives on site. Communal outdoor areas include two pools, BBQ area, meet-up space, the "office", playground and parking lot. We sometimes have BBQs, Potluck Dinners, Game Nights, Monkey Watching Parties - and every New Year's Eve is a Family Friendly Party for the whole property!
Camp Akumal has warm sunshine and even warmer hospitality, friendly neighbors and interesting travelers from all over the world. We are not fancy, just whole lot of fun. Come and see for yourself : )
Other things to note
Your house comes with fresh bedding, bath towels and beach towels.
Cleaning prior to your arrival and after your departure is included in your cleaning fee. You do NOT have to do any final cleaning.
IF YOU ARE RENTING PER WEEK - The house will receive a light cleaning every 2 days, generally just sweeping, kitchen, bathrooms. Every 7 days your bed sheets will be changed.
IF YOU ARE RENTING PER MONTH - Once per week you will receive a full cleaning with linen change. Please understand that because monthly rates are greatly reduced we do not re-stock toiletries and kitchen essencials. When you arrive you will be provided only a few days worth of toilet paper, shampoo, soap, dish washing liquid and coffee and bottled drinking water.

Additional rules
CAMP RULES

1. No smoking or vaping in house or common areas (outside in your own yard)
2. Absolutely no illegal drugs allowed on property
3. No lifeguard on duty, swim at your own risk
4. No unattended children in the pool
5. There is a replacement fee for lost or damaged items
6. Additional guests must be registered; charges may apply
7. Please lock doors & windows when not at home.
8. Treat all other guests with kindness and respect.

10. MOST IMPORTANTLY - We also appreciate you trying to conserve energy.
Please never, ever run the air-conditioning with windows or doors open! Turn OFF the air-conditioning, fans and lights when not at home. Thank you : )

QUIET HOURS
10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
It is not allowed to congregate in groups in common areas during quiet hours. You can still use the pool, but quietly and respectfully. During these hours we also ask that you keep noise and music at a lower volume inside your house. Please be respectful to all guests!

CHECK-OUT
It is not expected for you to clean your room upon your departure. However, we do appreciated it being left tidy! You can leave unused food in your refrigerator if you wish, our staff will take it home.

MONTHLY RENTALS
Discounted monthly rentals only receive weekly cleaning with full bed linen and towel change. You will receive a few days worth of bathroom supplies and cooking necessities, but we do not replenish for monthly rentals.
