This 3 bedroom/2 bath cabin is nestled in Audubon Village in beautiful, quiet & quaint community of Gilchrist, Texas, literally steps from beach!!! Wake up to breathtaking views of the ocean! House is located in beautiful, laid back Gilchrist, just 10 mins from Crystal Beach on the Bolivar Peninsula. Please note if you plan to travel to Galveston Island, please allow time to travel across the ferry which is approximately 30 minutes away from the house, however, the wait time to get on the ferry can be from an hour to several hours, depending on the time of day and time of year. Summer hours has been known to be several hours, so please plan accordingly!!!

Crystal Beach is just 10 minutes away and has lots of restaurants, mini golf, fishing tours & lots of fun activities for the whole family!! We provide beach towels and family games as well as a charcoal pit (bring your own charcoal).

We also provide all the essentials inside the home like Kcup coffee pods, sugar, creamer, a few rolls of toilet paper, and paper towels. We also provide hand soap, dish soap, dishwashing soap and laundry soap.

We welcome you with a starter supply personal items such as body wash, shampoo and conditioner so you can relax and unpack!! A helpful tip, mosquitos can be a bother at times, bring mosquito spray with you just in case!
THE PERSON RESERVING MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO RENT OUR PROPERTY AND STAY ON THE PROPERTY DURING THE ENTIRE RENTAL STAY.

PET FREE & SMOKE FREE PROPERTY!! Please read over the general rules of the home to familiarize yourself with our expectations of our guests. These rules are to ensure we maintain a safe and clean environment for all of our guests. Your reservation implies that you agree to these terms and failure to follow them may require removal or additional charges.

- No unregistered guests. Occupancy of 8 people strictly enforced.

- No parties / events allowed. No RVs / campers/ travel trailers / tents permitted.

- No illegal substances allowed on property.

- Arrival time is no earlier than 3:00pm. Check out time is no later than 10:00am on date of departure. We ask that you please adhere to these times so that we may get the house prepared for the next guests.

- No smoking in the house or on the deck. Smoking is only allowed on the patio area under the house. Please put cigarette butts in the metal bucket provided downstairs next to picnic table.

- No pets are allowed in or on the premises.

- Maximum occupancy is 8 people. Our guest limit is set based upon our septic capabilities.

- Grill downstairs on the patio area only. Grilling on the deck is prohibited and against Galveston County ordinance.

- If you go to the beach, please rinse sand off in the sand shower under the house. And/or leave your sandy shoes on the deck by the front door.

- Do not flush feminine hygiene products, or anything other than what is expected to be flushed down the toilet, it will damage the septic system.

- Do not pour grease down the drains.

- Park only on the concrete driveway or patio area under the house. Be very careful that you do not hit the pilings with your vehicle.

- If something is accidentally broken, please notify the owners. We understand that accidents occur and things can be broken. If this happens, please contact us so we can replace or repair damaged items. However, if damage occurs due to malicious or careless behavior, responsibility for replacement or repairs may be at renters’ expense.

- Please lock doors upon departure and return key to the lockbox.

- If renters are asked to leave due to irresponsible and/or bad behavior, no refund will be given for lost days.

- Please keep in mind that this is our home and we ask that you respect it as we would respect yours.

- If renter must cancel due to tropical storm/hurricane evacuation requirements, a full refund will be given. If renter must evacuate during their stay due to a tropical storm/hurricane, they will be credited for all remaining days lost.

- The owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises, nor are the owners responsible for loss or damage of personal property of renters.

- The beaches in Gilchrist have no lifeguards on duty. Swimming is at visitor’s own risk.

- Keep all windows and doors closed due to high humidity levels and mosquitos.

- Please do not eat or drink in the beds or bedrooms.

- Care for the furnishings and do not rearrange the furniture.

- Only beach towels may be used outdoors; all other towels and linens are to remain inside the house.

- By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all renters are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premises.
