2 bedroom Cottage on Conesus lake w private shared lake access, fireplace & AC

Thank you for your lovely review. I think you paint an accurate portrayal. I love the picture of your dog resting by the fire, that makes me so happy!! Also you kayaked all the way up the river of the inlet! That is impressive. In the early spring, and it's a bit of an adventure because the water is very cold in spring, the fish spawn in that inlet where you were and they jump out of the water. It's amazing to see.

Glad to hear you had a good time. The lake is beautiful, we definitely enjoy it when we are there. I know we don't have direct lake front access or ability to launch a jetski, dock or non hand carried boat, but it is great for swimming, floaties, kayaks and paddle boarding. I like that it is a really shallow area as well and glad your grand kids got the chance to enjoy it. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Thanks James. A pleasure having you. The lake is about a 500 ft walk from my house, a short walk about four houses down from my driveway on the dirt road. Unfortunately not in my control or I'd love to have it closer! I try to let folks know I am very close to the water and have water access and glimpses of the lake but it is not lake front or direct water view and although my access allows for launching paddle board or kayaks there is no boat docking or launching or large boats. But glad you had a good time overall.

Yes I did purchase a whole new mattress and bed for you and had it installed. I have no idea what you mean by the couch is dirty. The place is professionally cleaned for each guest by a cleaning service prior to arrival. I personally stayed at the property just prior to your stay and washed all the rugs and steam cleaned the surface of the couch. It is a rural lakeside cabin and it is not brand new, if you are looking for brand new you will likely pay much more. The AC is window units and we keep it off between guests to keep costs low. Lake access is literally a one minute walk down the cul de sac, I provide a photo of the launch area, the whole area isn't very large so I'm not sure how you missed it. I am usually the least expensive property on the lake and provide paddle boards, kayaks, high speed Internet and a fireplace free of charge. We are pet friendly, and have an enclosed area right off the kitchen for dogs to play and a wildflower garden frequented by butterflies and humming birds. I encourage anyone to find a property that offers as much this close to the lake at my price point.

Thank you. Sorry about the food in the fridge, a neighbor that is moving asked to keep some items there. I will be removing them, except for some commonly used condiments like ketchup etc, this week. Yes the lake access, it is about 500 ft down the road to the left. I try to be clear in the ad I do not have direct lake front. There are glimpses of the lake from the windows, not a panoramic view and the shared lake access is a little private park down the road at the end of the cul de sac. Would have loved to have mowed the lawn but with the constant rain it was hard to get it done for memorial day. Yes the bed is a full not a queen but there is no full option in the listing, though I note it in the ad. All the best and glad you got to use the free kayaks!

Thank you for leaving the cabin extremely neat and, I know it is critical but thank you for comments. I wish you had raised the issues you were experiencing before you left so incould have tried to help. My family and I and others who have stayed at the cabin have enjoyed the lake and I really wish you did too as it is beautiful. But from your comment perhaps I need to clarify some things as I don't want people going into it with any misinterpretations or expectations other than what is available. The photo on the cover was taken last fall from the shared lake access area at sunset. The lake access is a shared area and you are and we're welcome to launch a kayak or paddleboard both of which I provide, but not a power boat or jetski. The arrangement being a park like lake area with a lawn does not allow and is not set up for launching a boat or jetski as there is no ramp and only the owner of the dock is allowed to keep his boat docked to it. i don't want anyone to think that is the view from the cabin, as the access area is about 500ft about a one minute walk down a gravel road. There are glimpses of the lake from my living room windows, between the houses across the way. It is not and I have never said that I have a panoramic lake front view. The pictures of the cabin show what it is. It is a lakeside cabin not a mansion, it is not directly on the lake but across a dirt road from it, with access down the road. There is an outdoor eating area, hammock, small patio, flowers -when in season, and a lawn. There is also a gas fireplace and I think it is a charming place that offers value, easy parking and access to the lake - again no docking or jetski launching, just swimming or launching of hand carried boats that will not damage the grass of the park, please read all description. I'm sorry you did not have a good time or had other expectations I wish you had still used the kayak or paddle board to to go out and enjoy the lake. My hope is my response will clarify what is offered for future folks. All the best.

I'm sorry to hear about the cleanliness situation. I take cleanliness very seriously and hire a professional cleaner to clean after every guest. My experience and that of my guests has been that she does an incredible job, but if there was a deficiency I wish you had let me know and I would have sent the cleaner back to finish any area that wasn't cleaned appropriately.
