Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very satisfied with the way Gibson handles their rentals. We completed all transactions by email and/ or text. Codes, directions and the variety of free or discounted daily activities. They were even able to fairly accommodate us when we decide we wanted to stay over a little longer. The only slight demerit goes to the owner of the unit. Coffee was brewed in an old drip machine (who doesn't use K-cup nowadays especially travelling), the TVs weren't identical in their offerings, and the kitchen utensils were on the sparse side. Needless to day, we were there to enjoy the beach, golf, etc. so kitchen issues are minor, indeed.

Great location like the remodel. Construction to building did cause some long delays getting an elevator with workers going in and out. Broken Glass seen multiple times on walkways to beach and pool closed due to broken glass all from construction apparently.

August 2022 Stay

We have stayed at Beachside 2 for years and had a wonderful week weather wise. We have always stayed in another unit but due to construction we were moved to this unit at the last minute. It is dire need of upgrading. Bathroom had mold, AC went out Sunday and was not able to be repaired until Monday. Furniture is old & uncomfortable and balcony had only 3 chairs (for a unit that accomodates up to 6). I was appreciative that we were given a construction discount & the Gibson folks were great but would not recommend this unit unless it was totally refurbished.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a two bedroom condo unit. A king bed that has ocean front windows. The big window in the middle of the bedroom View is severely cloudy. You can’t really see the view through it. They were doing construction on the second floor and it was very noisy. The condo unit is on the 10th floor. Every time we went out on the balcony to enjoy a meal or the view, someone was smoking and made it very undesirable. Also, the people above us were constantly running and banging something on the floor making it for a very difficult sleeping situation. The bathroom has a garden tub with a shower in one. The kitchen had very nice pans and everything you need to cook meals in the condo. We have stayed at Beachside one and BEACHSIDE2 with no previous problems. We were told on Wednesday that the pool for Beachside two was being repaired and not available . We were very disappointed about that. The beach had June blooms with a ton of seafood weed making it look very dirty and every time we went into the ocean, it felt like we were being attacked by air very long strands of hair. Really gross. Please make sure you wear shoes on the beach during the day, the landing with stairs and the actual beach get extremely hot on your feet. The rug in the main bedroom hurts your feet. You will need slippers to wear in the condo because your bottoms of your feet will turn black and the rug that hurts as well.

April 2021 Stay

This unit 4303 had roaches. They were crawling all around the kitchen. The roaches would scurry away when we turned on the kitchen lights and first walked in. Every time we opened a kitchen drawer or cabinet door, several would go running trying to hide ... running across the silverware, dishes, glasses and cups. We complained to Gibson realty the first night of our stay. They said they would send someone to come and spray. That never happened. The building next to us, Beachside 1, was being renovated. The sound of construction equipment was continuous from 8AM until 8PM on Saturday as they installed the Gunite pool. It was so loud that we could not go out on the balcony to enjoy the sound of the waves.

The views from the balcony were beautiful and it’s an easy walk to the beach/pool areas. Condo had lots of room. The master bath does need to be painted. Overall a great value. Love all the amenities of the resort. The building had an emergency water issue on our last full day. Communication could have been better-we had to call to find out there was a problem. The pack of water was a little too little, too late. The water was off before 9:00am and didn’t come back on until 1:00am. If we needed water-it would have been way before the 5:00/6:00pm time it was delivered. I do appreciate the prorated refund but have yet to see it in my account. I would recommend this to friends.

We arrived at the room which was in good location. The elevators only worked with one side. The room with oceanview is exactly like it showed. The bad. The room was full of roaches. Like FULL!!! We had roaches crawling over counters, stove and even in ICE bin in fridge. The called and complained to Gibson Beach Rental but the said it wasn't anything they could do other than send an pest control. The next day after going to beach. We went to shower and our tub was still dirty with sand from previous renters. We sucked it up and started to wash the tub with our own supplies to find out the tub was completely stopped up!. So needless to say we wanted an refund but they only could do 3% which I still never got. Save yourself an headache and don't stay with these thieves

Beautiful weather and a great week, my wife and I enjoyed our stay in SanDestin. However, unit 4303 badly needs refurbishment. The bathrooms are old and moldy and the ac unit makes a loud noise when running. It appears that only the kitchen has been upgraded since the unit was built. We have stayed in several units in Beachside 2, this one is no where close to the others quality. I would not rent this unit again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay in 4303 at Destin in June 2021. The condo was clean...somewhat dated. It was in a great location with a beautiful access and easy access to the beach. The sliding door in the master bedroom was broken as we arrived. Management came promptly and taped it up which worked fine for our stay. The condo lost power the first night we were there and didn't come back on until mid day the following day. 2 of 3 elevators were out for most of our stay which encouraged to use the stairs to the 10th floor often. The management company compensated us for the inconvenience...much appreciated.
