Schönes Blockhaus mit herrlichem Seeblick. Perfekt für einen längeren Familienurlaub! Genießen Sie Kaffee, beobachten Sie die Kolibris, oder Freunde zu unterhalten auf der großen Terrasse. Schwimmen oder fischen Sie am privaten Sandstrand und Pier. In Veranda gescreent. Firepit am Wasser. Kamin im Inneren. In der Nähe von South Haven, Golfen und vieles mehr. Great Bear Lake ist privat 150-Morgen-See mit der Öffentlichkeit nicht zugänglich. Die Farben des Herbstes sind schön. Im Winter, Skifahren und Schläuche nur 20 Minuten Fahrt. Muss man gesehen haben, um zu glauben!

Perfect for a family!

Huge house with a perfect beach for toddlers. Plenty of sand (and toys available). Bunk room for the older kids (for us, 5, 8 and 10) with a parent bedroom next door. Outdoor hand held shower with cold and HOT water for rinsing off before going in. Plenty of toys (Canoe, paddleboat and pontoon). House extremely clean with plenty of towels for all. This was our 2nd year and we had a couple of hiccups but the owner was immediately available and took care of everything quickly. I would highly recommend this rental (Unless you want it the same week as we do!😀

Family friendly lake trip

A group of eight adults and five kids (ages 3-10) had the best week at this lake house. It was a perfect picturesque location, family friendly, fully stocked kitchen, lots of beach towels, beach toys and other goodies provided. The lake wasn't too busy with boats and we had lots of fun going out on the pontoon boat every afternoon, and typically playing on the private patch of beach during the mornings. We made use of the grills there, and also roasted s'mores by the fire pit most nights. The attached screened in porch was perfect to listen to the birds and eat breakfast early in the mornings with whichever little children were awake. Would highly recommend for families, we had a great time!

Family summer adventure

Very peaceful lake. The home was great, the kitchen was well stocked with every pot, pan, and utensil one would need. The deck was huge and wonderful for sitting and reading. Basketball net was a nice surprise. The lake was at a comfortable temperature to swim in. We all enjoyed our week there. Absolutely no complaints.

We never tried a VRBO before…. It was exactly as advertised. A beautiful house on a beautiful, quiet lake. The hosts were easily to reach and everything we needed was there. Small beach perfect for grand kids and the swimming atea between piers just the right depth for them. I could go on and on…. It was perfect 10/10!

Fun with friends and family

We had an amazing stay at Great Bear Lake. There was plenty of space and we really enjoyed the large kitchen and family room area. The beach was perfect for our young kids, shallow right off the beach, but deep enough to jump and swim off the pier. The outdoor shower was perfect for rinsing after the beach. There were lots of spaces to hang out (deck, screen porch, basement) and plenty of room for our 4 families with young kids. We had a great trip and highly recommend!

Property was nice good for swimming caught some fish not alot but a few different species which the boys liked. Great deck overlooking lake with area below for playing cornhole sit and look at lake. Needed info pamphlet about house and how we were supposed to leave beds etc. when we left . Info about area would have been nice closest store restaurants etc as most phones did not work in area which would have been nice to know as someplace GPS wouldn't work overall very nice place for family vacation

Wonderful getaway

Our small group had a fantastic stay at the "gorgeous cabin". It was one of the best equipped vacation rentals that we have ever stayed at. The owners were friendly and communicative, making sure that we had everything that we needed for a relaxing long weekend. The home and the experience were excellent. I would highly recommend this property on Great Bear Lake.

A true Cabin by the Lake experience!!!

This is the third year our family has stayed here and we have loved every minute. Evening Pontoon rides on the lake, dinners on the porch and nights by the bonfire. A stunning log cabin inside and out with all of the amenities of a high end home. We will be coming back as long as it is available. If you are looking for a great getaway on a beautiful lake, this is it!

Great Family Getaway

The lake was clean and the sandy beach was perfect for a little kids. Right off the end of the pier, the water was deep for diving and bigger kids. It was a great house and location for a family getaway and for kids of all ages and their parents.

Relaxing Weekend, Wonderful Owner

We had a wonderful time in mid-May for 3 days! We rented the pontoon boat that is available and I highly recommend doing so. The lake is just large enough for a day out on a boat, and plenty of little patches for fishing. There were 7 of us and I can say every single person was comfortable. The deck overlooking the lake is huge and stocked with 3 grills, which came in very handy for our group! The screened in area was a favorite for the mornings and evenings to keep the bugs out but still enjoy the good weather that we had. The pictures dont do the house justice, as the property seems much larger once you arrive. We are already trying to plan a trip next year with the same group plus a few that were unable to make it this time around! One thing I must note is that the owner is by far the most responsive and helpful we've ever had through VRBO. Cant thank him enough for making sure we arrived and everything was known when we got there!

Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at Matt's cabin! The cabin was beautiful and the lake was so peaceful. We had 8 children with us (ages 2-8), so the yard and private beach with a shallow swim area kept them entertained the whole week. There was plenty of space for our group. We enjoyed sitting on the large deck overlooking the lake, taking canoe rides, relaxing in the hammock, lounging on the beach and going out on the pontoon boat. We also liked that we were just 20 minutes from South Haven and Lake Michigan. Matt was very responsive, helpful and easy to work with. We highly recommend this gorgeous cabin!

Great Family Getaway

Our family and extended family has taken a week long vacation here the last two years. The property is gorgeous. Beautiful both inside and out. Has all the amenities of a new home with a true rustic cabin feel. Porch over looks the lake and we spent many evenings enjoying the view. Trips on the pontoon boat with our children, nieces and nephews. Evenings at the fire pit down by the dock. We could not have asked for more. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful home, gorgeous lake getaway home!

The property was beautiful, well-maintained, and had all the amenities for an amazing weekend away with our families. Plenty of space for multiple families and plenty to do indoors and out. The kids loved the beach and the boats and the adults enjoyed the view in the evening from the deck with a fire in the firepit. Everyone had a wonderful time and the owner was very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. We can't wait to come back!

Beautiful Family Home

My husband and I stayed in this home with our two daughters, their husbands and our four little grandchildren. This beautiful, well maintained log cabin had everything - and more - than we expected. Plenty of space for all of us including a private beach! The owner was extremely attentive, even calling us to be sure we had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the huge wrap around deck and the sunroom. The kitchen is very large and well equipped and there was plenty of seating for our entire family to share meals. We really enjoyed our time at this home and plan on visiting again!

Perfect lake house

This beautiful log cabin was a fantastic spot for our extended family gathering. It comfortably accommodated my parents, siblings, and kids; it had plenty of bed and bathrooms and generous living spaces, both indoors and out. The spacious open kitchen was fully equipped and fun to cook in as a group. They had a large selection of board games that the kids enjoyed one rainy morning. Nice big stone fireplace looked enjoyable if you were there in fall/winter. The place was very clean. We enjoyed relaxing and dining on the huge deck over looking the lake and the picnic table and bonfire pit at the water's edge. We had a great time on the lake itself, especially with the rented pontoon boat, a kayak, and fishing. Oftentimes, we were the only ones out on the water. Water temperature perfect for swimming while we were there in late June. Nice to have both a dock and good sized sandy beach of our own and graduated depth was perfect for little ones. The outdoor shower for rinsing off sand even had hot water! Large, lightly wooded yard was fun for games. The owner was very helpful and pleasant to work with. Highly recommend!

Family Reunion

Our three generation party of 14 (age 8-85) enjoyed the neat, clean ,nicely furnished cabin the first week of summer in 2013 and found Bear lake to be surprisingly warm and lightly used by jet skis and ski boats especially during the week day. A great place for an extended family with diverse ages and interests to meet for group and individual activities in cabin on the lake or nearby Kal Haven trail or South Haven shops restaurants and beaches. Looking forward to 2014.
