The house was clean and big enough for our family. The lake was very pretty and clear. You thought of everything, like the basketball court, and the water toys, and the ping pong table. It was a great experience and everyone enjoyed the stay. We have been renting houses for 20 years and my family thinks this is the best house we have ever stayed in. We definitely will be back!

I cannot express how awesome this property is for a large group!!! It is updated, spacious, comfortable, and perfectly stocked for anything and everything you might need both inside and out. We co-owned a family cottage and often had 25 people with multiple generations. I promise you, I know what a well stocked easy place to be in looks like. :)Jimmy was an excellent host and responded super quickly to each and every question I gave him. The property and the house are incredible. The lake itself was warm, clean, great for fishing and doable for some sports. We rented a pontoon boat and it worked for everybody. There was plenty of seating down by the beach, as well as plenty to float on. Our family had kayak races around the floating dock. We weren’t quite sure what we would need so we brought almost everything. The only thing we brought that he didn’t already have was a canopy tent for some extra shade, although there were trees and beach umbrellas, and our corn hole bag game. :) There was a bit of a walk from the house down to the lake, but it was no problem at all. Gave us a little exercise for all the eating and drinking we were doing :-). The property itself is gorgeous and the basketball court with lights was a huge hit.If you are in a position to pre-plan your meals and bring it up, he has two refrigerators to accommodate lots of food. If you’re not, the nearest grocery store is 10 minutes away. Not a big deal. TOTALLY Recommend!

Best 3 Days of the Year

The Bloomingdale house is incredible. Spacious, great AC, roomy, and you can walk out the back door down to the lake---so beautiful! Jimmy was incredible with his communication and his willingness to make it a great 3 days! We could not have had a better time and even with 23 people under one roof we had plenty of space! Can't wait to return!

Family fun trip

The location was beautiful and our family enjoyed the privacy of the house and serenity of the lake. There was always plenty of things for the kids to do whether it be tennis, biking, board games, or the many water activities. Jimmy was a great host and responded immediately when we had issues with getting into the house. Highly recommend this location especially if you have a big family like ours.

Great property and responsive host

My extended family of 21 stayed at the house. The house is well laid out. When the kids stayed up, there were places for them to older so the parents could sleep. When the parents stayed up too, there were still places for them to have quiet conversations away from the older kids. My favorite was the screened in back porch overlooking the lake. The host was quick to respond with any questions and to help out with anything that was needed. The lake is beautiful and great for either swimming, using the provided equipment, or just relaxing on the beach. It's easily a 10/10.

Great time!

We had a great time! My four married kids and their children came from 4 different states for a family reunion. The house was perfect for families with young children. Family Trip

We had 25 adults on this trip and the house was spacious to accommodate us all comfortably. Some couples had to bunk together in rooms but it worked. The house is supplied with everything!! The kitchen even had crockpots. We brought our own but wish we knew how well stocked it was to lighten our load. We had a fabulous time. Lots of things to do and games to play. We loved going to sandbar and hanging out all day with our pontoon. There were very few people on the lake the whole week so we basically had it all to ourselves. Great memories made with the family.

Perfect family lake get-away!

The only thing our parents wanted in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary was for their kids and grandkids to go “jump in the lake” and spend some time together “away from it all” on a lake in Michigan and that is exactly what we did!! We could not have asked for anything better than Jimmy’s property! The description and details of what to expect were spot on! I believe we utilized everything this rental home had to offer! Most of the family had never stayed on a lake before so this was super special. Some favorites included swimming, playing in the clean sand and simply relaxing down by the lake. Many basketball games were played even some under the lights! The boys fished every day - largest bass caught this week was 4.25 pounds!! We used the kayaks, paddle boat, SUP and swim deck. We rented a pontoon 2 of our days which was a perfect addition to putt around the lake stopping at both the deep water and sand bar to play and swim! The campfires down by the water were amazing as we talked, made s’mores, shared fun times. The whole process was super easy and the communication with Jimmy was very responsive. We highly recommend this rental! Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with our family!

Comfortable get away

Homeowners pay attention to detail and make their home a wonderful place to have a vacation. Very nice kitchen that is well supplied with kitchen necessities. Plenty of space for large families. Very nice area out front for an evening fire in the driveway. Plenty to do outdoors and indoors. Owners are very accommodating and helpful. Wonderful vacation for our entire family!

Great place for our large group

We are an extended family with adults and kids getting together after an year of lockdown. This was a perfect place for all of us, with lots of room for everyone and so much to do for the younger ones. Our host (Jimmy) was great in all aspects, easy to work with and immediately available through out the planning and stay. Sports court was a big hit and spend tons of time there while the beach and swimming was the favorite part for kids. We had a great time and started planning for future visits.

We always want to come back

We have been coming to this vacation home for years now. Since purchasing it, the owner always does something new on the property, we look forward to finding out what it is! The front patio with the Adirondack chairs, fire pit and open space is a great place for kids to ride bikes, play with bubbles and water balloons. The lake is always comfortable, the outdoor seating and deck was a great addition, done a couple years ago. This year the picnic table was moved to the deck under the shade and there is electricity on the deck - great for inflating rafts and charging our bluetooth speakers. The house is always clean with a great flow, the kids never get bored on this property and since it is secluded and far from the main road they have a ton of space to safely run around. The Wifi was a welcome addition, we do come to unplug and relax but 2 of our family members are in masters programs and we are in the middle of selling our home, so email needed to be accessed at times and it was nice my brothers didn't have to go to the McDonalds in town to work on homework. The screened in porch is always enjoyable, a great place to have dinner and not worry about the mosquitos. The basement rec room is a great place for kids to hang out, and the large laundry room makes traveling with little ones easy since we can do loads during the week. Excellent property and great for large groups and kids.

We wanted to be close to Chicago, but far enough way from it all to really 'get away.' We love the all-sports lake, private beach, place to dock the boat, Sport Court, mature trees, secluded setting (you really can't see any neighbors), hills for sledding, and more. Kids love it out here. So do adults!
