Enjoy hilltop rolling hills & city views featuring Pueblo architecture 30 min. from DT San Diego! Inside find cathedral ceilings, split & open floor-plan, big rooms, king beds, infinite tank-less hot water, smart TV's, natural well water, & unobstructed views in every room. Exterior features a solar heated salt-water pool, a Jacuzzi (see details), horse shoes, croquet, golf teeing area, & tennis/basketball court (see details). Comfort: All beds have 100% cotton sheets and 100% cotton blankets (duvets are microfiber). All sheets and blankets are white—do not trust vacation rentals without white bedding! Mattresses are all medium-firm and fiberglass-free. All beds feature luxury gel pillows. All bedrooms feature blackout curtains for a peaceful night’s rest. The house has two separate HVAC systems with air conditioning and propane gas heat. Thermostats are controlled with Ecobee thermostats. The house is energy efficient with dual-pane windows and quality insulation.
Outdoor Grounds & Entertainment:

Spread out and enjoy supreme privacy on the 9 acres. We have basketballs and footballs spread around the property. We have frisbee golf in the front yard. We have some squirt guns available for the fountains. We have horseshoes on the hill behind the pool. We have a tennis/basketball court in D-level condition for casual, non-competitive play, which does require walking down a small hill. We have a couple of croquet balls and some mini-golf behind the pool as well. Sit by the pool and see the San Diego hills. At night, a part of the San Diego skyline is visible through the mountains. Cook with a propane grill and charcoal grill. We have two propane tanks available and ask that guests refill their own propane.

Indoor Entertainment: We have 6 smart TVs—one in every bedroom! HBO Max, Disney Plus, Paramount Plus, Netflix, and Hulu are available. A 1000W Bose Theater sound system is available for use in the family room, attached to the TV. Note that local dB laws are enforced. We have a small collection of board games, including our favorite, Quarkle. An Air-play device called Mii Audio is attached to the stereo to cast from your Apple or Android phone.

Wi-Fi: We have 100mb Starlink internet with Omada professional equipment, with many access points around the whole property!

Inside: Enter into a grand entryway with cathedral ceilings. Stairs are directly ahead and lead to a loft with a balcony and rolling hills views. The house has a split floor plan with two giant living rooms and a kitchen in between them, with a master bedroom on a separate wing and the other downstairs bedrooms on a separate wing.

Bedrooms: An XL master bedroom with a stand-alone jet tub and walk-in shower. The second bedroom is large as well and features a Jack and Jill bathroom with two showers, leading to the third, average-sized bedroom. All bedrooms have king-sized beds, some with "trundle" beds to handle extra guests. Two bedrooms feature sliding glass doors with entrance/exit to outside. The loft with a private balcony and a palm tree hillside view serves as the 4th bedroom. Note that some platforms count the living room as a 5th bedroom because we have beds available in it.

Year-Round Pool and Jacuzzi: We heat our massive saltwater pool—with unobstructed hillside and city views—in three different ways to give you the best experience possible! We have a solar heater, propane heater, and a solar pool cover. The pool is fully fenced. We have floaties and balls for fun by the pool. The pool is on the larger and deeper side with an enjoyable shallow end. From April 1–Sept 30, pool heat is free from our aqua-thermal solar heater (weather dependent). From Oct 1–March 30, propane heat is $249 for the first day and $129/day for each subsequent day. Propane heat is also available from April 1–Sept 30 and is $149 for the first day and $89/day for each subsequent day. The Jacuzzi is free if your base daily rate is $300 or higher; otherwise, it is $49/day. Our solar blanket also heats the pool and is free.

Disclaimers: The property is huge and vast, and we are continually maintaining it. As mentioned, the tennis court is in D condition (usable for casual play but not advisable for competitive play; concrete has some cracks). You are outside in the wilderness, so it is natural to encounter critters. We do landscape continually, but 10 acres are impossible to keep entirely weed-free on our budget—expect to see some weeds. Our tiki bar by the pool is currently undergoing improvements. On your checkout day, our exterior grounds-keeping may start as early as 8:30 AM due to the size of the property.

Events / Large Groups: If you are having an event, please book for the number of overnight guests sleeping at the property. We will then apply an additional fee of $15/person/day for your event, which we will add after booking. We have round outdoor banquet tables available for up to 150 guests to rent for $35/table, seating 6/table. That includes chairs and banquet accessories. Tablecloths are an additional $5/table. Local caterers recommended: Buckboard Catering & Events and Continental Catering.

We enforce all county noise ordinances.
If you are a group of more than 35 people, you must book on V++++R++++B++++O to remain compliant with Airbnb large group policies.
If you are booking for a one-day stay and are a So-Cal local with a group of 8 or more, our minimum rate is $500 for your one-day booking + cleaning and service fees. This minimum does not apply to multiple-day stays.

Small trailers that sleep 3 are available for $200/night.
We recommend an RV or trailer if you have a group of more than 25 and want more indoor space. Some larger groups also bring tents for outside glamping, which is acceptable—there is plenty of space.
(Note: we have a $150 surcharge for the trailers/rv’s if it is a one day booking)

We provide linens for all sleeping arrangements, including overflow.
Bring sleeping masks for big groups if you want to sleep in—some common area windows do not have curtains.

Security: We do have CCTV outside the house to help protect us and help protect you and help protect our neighbors.

Booking: If the calendar is open, the house is available. Yes, we take last minute bookings. Beautiful place, amazing location, nice large house, fantastic pool and hot tub. But kitchen is very incomplete. Dishes and pots smelled bad. I could hear animals within the walls and the ceiling. You definitely have mice problem. They chewed a garbage bag and I had clean after them.

We came as a group of 24 graduate students for our annual Fall retreat. The property was beautiful, the pool was definitely a plus. Having only three bathrooms is not the most ideal condition for large groups but if you are ok with it then I definitely recommend the place

This property is absolutely stunning. Beyween thr ammenities and panoramic views, its the perfect location to unwind with yoire loved ones & friends. Eric was onsite when we checked in & gave us a tour of tje grounds and was ansolutely the most welcoming person. Even the offoce management was available all around the clock to assist with any questions we has. Weve saved this location for future visits. The home is spacious with so much rustic charm. The grounds are well kept & absolutely gorgeous.

Great place

Beautiful home with great scenery. Came for a retreat and there was plenty of space for my group. So many beds and air mattresses. The owner communicated very well and quickly. There was a basketball court and jacuzzi which was perfect. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again in the future!
