Another wonderfully stay at The Hideaway!

We recently enjoyed another awesome week stay at this amazing home/location. Alec the host truly cares about providing the best possible experience for his customers. We have stayed several times and will continue to go back. Always perfectly clean, everything working and zero issues or problems. So many positives, ample number of bedrooms and bathrooms, great location close to town yet feels like you are all by yourselves. Easy paved roads and views that are outstanding. Mornings provide views of the “smoke” lifting off of the mountains and the sunsets are stunning. Great outdoor sitting and dining areas as well. 5 stars? It would be 10 out of 10 if that was the scale.

We had a wonderful long weekend at this property! Plenty of room for three couples and a child with an extra bedroom to spare. The cabin came highly equipped and had a beautiful view. Close to some local scenic waterfalls though also enjoyed a day in relaxing in the cabin. Would return!

Second wonderful stay at the amazing Hideway!

Just got back from our second week long stay at The Hideway and it was again just awesome! This very new home is incredible and is in the perfect location as far as we are concerned just outside of Franklin. We were a group of 8 men on our semi-annual trip to the area to enjoy the amazing motorcycling it offers. Ample sleeping space with 4 private bedrooms and a loft with its own bathroom is perfect for several couples, adults like us or even families. The first floor living area is very large and outstanding views but there is also a second living area in the walk out lower level, deck, hot tub, extra beverage/bar area, gas fire pit feature, gas barbecue grill, high speed internet and numerous TV’s. Both visits the home was spotless when we arrived and everything functioning as it should. Last but not least, incredible sunset views from inside or outside off either the upper or lower deck areas. If there were 10 stars I’d give it all 10 and we ate already planning another visit!

Fabulous mountain getaway!!

Fantastic, clean, spacious mountain home with glorious views, and multiple amenities to keep everyone entertained right at home!! Close to Franklin, Dillsboro/Sylva and Highlands for exploration. Hiking from the house, scenic waterfalls in 20 minutes. Super comfortable home with plenty of space for large group. Beds, linens, blankets, all comfortable, and cozy. Sunsets from the porches are amazing. Spacious parking.

Clean, Comfortable, and Convenient Mountain Retreat

We had a great stay at this beautiful home! Everything was spotless and felt nearly brand new. The beds were very comfortable, and each bedroom was generously sized — perfect for a relaxing retreat. The kitchen was well appointed with just about everything you might need during your stay, which made meals easy and convenient. The view from the porch was lovely, and although the home is close to the highway (great for access), we didn’t notice much road noise. We especially appreciated the firewood being provided, and the covered pavilion near the firepit was a nice bonus — it allowed us to enjoy the outdoors even during a few afternoon rain showers. The host was also very responsive and helpful, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. All in all, this was a fantastic home base for exploring everything Cashiers and Highlands have to offer. Highly recommend!

What an incredible home! We just finished a week stay and the home is absolutely amazing. It’s new and built with exceptional features and quality sure to please. The views out of the home and off the deck are stunning and exactly what a mountain stay should provide. Sitting outside in the evenings around the gas fire pit provided the best environment for friends to relax and enjoy each other. There is high speed internet which is a plus when in the mountains and the location is perfect and just a few minutes from town/grocery stores/dining. The host/owner Alec is a fantastic host who left no detail unturned when building this home and for providing for his guests. Everything was super clean and fully equipped. You can’t go wrong with this amazing home. We have been visiting the area for decades and continually look for great properties and we found one we will be booking again for sure! Thanks Alec for providing such an awesome home and experience for us!

Lots of Room, Great Views, Wonderful Parking, minor improvements could be helpful

This is an excellent property. Some of the highlights Area to spread out. There is ample deck space (with BBQ and Hot Tub), a gaming area, and plenty of tvs and such. Our family of 10 stayed comfortably with no overlaps. The teens found the area downstairs fun, and the youngin's loved the loft twin room. The natural wood gave it a great lodge atmosphere. One highlight was the picnic table and fire pit down by the small pond which we had a great "Smore Night" there. There are a lot of amenities previously mentioned but highlighting here: Picnic table/fire pit, Washer/dryer, large game area with ping pong table, multiple TVs (large screen) and 2 Master. The mattresses, pillows and bedding is comfortable. Although this really can't be improved, there is not a lot of insulation between walls, so noise did transmit to adjacent rooms. Recommend a few more items in the kitchen such as larger serving / cookware / baking dishes. We had to use the large plastic bowls to prep food for BBQ for example and would prefer glassware. We found some of the dishes and bowls on the small side. Some more trinkets would be helpful (cheese grater, metal spatulas/serving, etc). We were able to make due, but for the size of the house a few more items would be helpful. A teakettle would be a nice to have as well. I don't know if local tv is even provided, as I didn't see it, but we mostly stream anyway and for that there is adequate wi-fi to stream to multiple screens simultaneously. There were times it slowed, but for the mountains, it's very good. Thank you for making this great home available, I'm sure members of our family will use it in the future.
