This lovely fully renovated (2024) beach villa offers two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms surrounding an open concept kitchen, dining and living room area that opens onto a large patio to enjoy the views of a gorgeous tropical garden and the unique blue waters of Hoopers Bay (aka Turtles Bay) on Great Exuma in the Out Islands of the Bahamas.

The two cozy AC bedrooms feature a queen bed and two twin beds, with soft linens and fluffy pillows, in which you will enjoy peaceful nights of sleep. If you choose to opt out of AC, you can open the screened windows to enjoy the sea breeze and the wind blowing in the palm trees. Each bedroom benefits from an amazing view of the tropical garden and the turquoise waters of Hoopers bay. The master bedroom has a smart TV for you to enjoy your favorite shows or to complete your peaceful ambiance with streaming music.

The kitchen portion of the open space living area includes five new top-of-the-line appliances, including stainless steel Frigidaire refrigerator, oven, and dishwasher, as well as an LG Washtower (washer and dryer). It is also fully equipped with small appliances such as coffee makers (drip and espresso), a milk frother, a toaster, a blender, and a mixer, as well as complete sets of cookware and dinnerware to prepare your meals and your cocktails. The living room is furnished with a three seat sofa, an armchair and a large coffee table filled with Bahamian literature and underwater photography magazines. The dinning section has a lovely table and four cushioned chairs, unless you favour the kitchen island counter and its stools.

You can always take a gentle short stroll to the beach through the 1+ acre tropical garden filled with palm, coconut, papaya and banana trees, frangipanis, orchids and bougainvillea.

Four Turtles Villas is perfect for a family vacation or a romantic getaway for one or two couples, and the best home base to visit the Exuma cays whether you rent a boat for a day of DIY island hopping, snorkeling, scuba diving, hidden beach discovery, or take a day trip to see the Exumas' famous pigs and iguanas, and James Bond's Thunderball grotto, or simply choose to relax on the beach or serene property, while enjoying a paddle board, hamac or comfortable Adirondack chairs and neso tent. Four Turtles will inevitably charm you and convert you into one of our community of returning guests.

Had a fabulous stay!! The location is on what we thought the best beach on the island! Even with a bit of rain the week we were there the kids used the beautiful beach to play and swim every day. House was set up with everything we needed. Comfy and nice to come back to and settle in each evening. Grounds are stunning- comfy hammock for reading! Communication with both owners and property managers was simple. Look up Pedro’s sweet treats- just a few minute drive towards Georgetown for a delicious ice cream! We discovered it day two and went every day the rest of our trip. Looking forward to coming back to Exuma in the future and booking both villas for an extended family trip.

We had the most terrific time at Four Turtles Villa. It was clean and well appointed. Everything that wish you had brought with you, but didn’t, the host has included. There were Yeti coffee cups and insulated bottled that were perfect for a beach day trip.Speaking of the beach, the glowing green and blue water is mere steps from the back door. Other considerations, there was a lot of space to hang out and eat dinner. Everything was very bright and clean. We just had the very best time! We will be back.

Great little place to stay

Super bright and clean little place, great location and a quick walk to Exuma’s best beach in our opinion. We saw a giant manta ray one day and were often the only people on the beach. The provided paddle board was lots of fun, and the beach chairs were perfect! Kitchen is well stocked and the A/C is quick and cold!

Gorgeous villa in paradise!

We loved our 1-week stay at this villa! It is just as gorgeous in real life as in the photos, and was perfectly prepared for our stay - spotless and with many thoughtful touches, like the Yeti tumblers, mugs and water bottles we would take to the beach each day. The beach there is stunning and peaceful. The host is so lovely and helpful, and gave us many good recommendations for car rental, restaurants, activities, etc. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay! The villa was perfect for 4 people. Very clean, with an easy path to the beach. The beach chairs were helpful. It was centrally located to most amenities and restaurants etc. It's a newly renovated villa, so my only future requests would be a few more bath towels and wash cloths (had a washer though so it worked out) and perhaps a couple of folding luggage racks that could easily be stored if not in use. We would rent this villa again, it really was very nice!

HOME AWAY FROM HOME

My husband and I arrived to the most beautiful villa and beach! Our stay was brilliant. For anyone staying at Sunset Villa, you may notice a beautiful kitty with her nose pressed against the glass patio doors. Her name is Murielle and that is her way of saying good morning. You will hopefully find wet cat food and crunchies in one of the kitchen cabinets. She is a light eater and only eats a teaspoon of wet food!! Rachel the property manager was very helpful and responded immediately to any questions that we had. We are the quintessential flop and drop couple that the location for us was ideal but for those younger and adventurous for excursions and exploring the rest of the island it is just as ideally located. Marie-Laure (the owner) was very helpful during the whole process from booking, arrival questions and departure. We look forward to our return visit! Cheers, Rose & Lee

Perfect villa in a stunning location

We absolutely loved our stay at this villa and fell in love with Exuma. The surrounding property is very-well tended and planted with a variety of fragrant flowering tropical plants and palms with a pristine and mostly deserted beach only steps away. The interior is beautifully laid out and comfortably furnished with a modern island feel. The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking. Appliances are brand new and of high quality. The front patio is a great spot to start and end the day with a water view and the companionship of a very sweet local cat. We especially appreciated the beach chairs, towels and the amazing tent. The host was very responsive and provided really helpful information, from where to rent a car to the best places for groceries. After exploring by car, we came to really appreciate the location which is close to both the airport and the main town, and ideally located within one mile of two smaller grocery stores, one with a pharmacy. Definitely a 5 star experience all around in a very special place and we can't wait to return.

Perfect Villa! Truly incredible place on Hooper's Bay!

My husband and I stayed at the Four Turtles Villa in October 2024 and the place was absolutely amazing. The Villa is completely new inside and had all new, high end appliances and amenities. Everything was impeccable and very tastefully decorated. The best part is the proximity to Hooper's Bay. It is an easy, very short stroll through the owner's lovely garden-like area to the beach where there were two adirondack chairs for us to sit in and look at the incredible ocean. It was my favorite reading place. This was our third time to Exuma and Hooper's Bay and Four Turtles Villa is our favorite location. The water is clear and beautiful and very gentle. There is also a canopy that you can use for shade at the beach. I tried the paddleboard and I definitely need more practice! We visited in the offseason and rarely saw anyone else on the beach. It was if we had our own slice of paradise. The owners and proper manager were super to work work and promptly answered any questions we had. They were very accommodating when we had to slightly change our flight plans because of Hurricane Milton. We would absolutely return to the Four Turtles Villa in the future. My husband is already hinting at a trip for his 60th birthday.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful time in this perfectly sized and outfitted home! The owner provided excellent activity and restaurant recommendations and was a wonderful host. When the weather turned too windy to be out on a boat, we were able to enjoy our space with everything for cooking, playing cards, board games, and reading some fun reads. The home is well designed and intentional in making a family very comfortable. Finally, the beach is a short (2 minutes) but sweet walk from the house and with a very private feel.

We are a French Canadian couple from Montreal. We purchased this property as a retirement plan. After traveling the world for many years in search of our paradise, we settled for Great Exuma which met all of our needs and more, as described below.

We love Great Exuma for the thousands of mesmerizing blues of the water, the powdery white and coral sand beaches, the incredible sunrise and sunsets, the amazing Bahamians, Out Islanders and Exumians (some say they're all different and special in their own way) as well as the foreigners who settled here years ago or the tourists who discovered this well kept secret.

When we are here, we enjoy snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, boating and kite boarding but also just relaxing on our own private beach, reading or napping in our hammock or Adirondak chairs, making a great frozen local drink, watching the sun rise and set every day and glazing at the deep black night sky and its thousands of visible stars.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

We chose Hoopers Bay for its natural beauty and location. The bay is renowned for its crystal-clear turquoise shallow waters that shimmer under the tropical sun, creating a breathtaking contrast against the soft, white sandy beaches and the gentle waves that lap the shore.

It is also facing full North, offering a constant refreshing breeze but most importantly, on each end of the beach, jaw dropping sunrises and sunsets.

Surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, Hoopers Bay provides a picturesque backdrop where palm trees sway gracefully in the warm breeze, offering shade and a sense of tranquility. The area is home to a diverse array of marine life, making it a paradise for snorkeling and swimming. Colorful fish dart in and out of coral reefs, while the occasional sea turtle glides through the pristine waters.

The sound of nature, from the rustling leaves and palms to the calls of seabirds, adds to the idyllic Caribbean ambiance.

However, lets not forget the Hoopers Bay community of locals, expats and tourists whom we regularly meet during our daily strolls on the beach, in grocery stores, or at one of the local restaurants. It's interesting to see that Hoopers Bay tends to attract like-minded people who, while being extremely different, share similar values and aspirations for themselves, humanity and our planet.

PS It is worth noting that Hoopers Bay is one of the few beaches where you can swim no matter the weather (almost ;-)) and that never disappears or washes away because of the tides or waves. It is protected by an inlet and many offshore cays, but also by a healthy dune, protected by the Hoopers Bay community, which keeps the sand still for all to enjoy. As you will see on other beaches, many home owners either removed the dune, built atop or built sea walls which accelerate erosion and devoid them from their beach in a matter of months.

Four Turtles Villas is unique because it is right on the beach and in the middle of Hoopers Bay. Our house also has about 50 feet of elevation which offers fantastic views (beach, sea, coconuts, tropical gardens, etc.) and a delightful breeze day and night.

We live like royalty on over 1 acre of curated tropical gardens which give us fresh fruits and beautiful flowers year round - thanks to Alex, our gardener.

We enjoy the fact that we are walking distance from two (2) grocery stores, a liquor store, a pharmacy, a couple of local restaurants, and - not that you will need them but - a botanist, a hardware, lumber and paint store, and a soon to be marina.

We like to explore beyond and appreciate that Four Turtles Villas is located within 15 minutes (by boat or car) of almost everything there is to see! In fact, most of the time, we don't even rent a car, and just walk, cab or boat/sail around.

All this and so many other elements makes Four Turtles Villas a one of kind fantastic place for your vacation.
