Weekend getaway in Asheville

This house was perfect for a weekend getaway for our group. The kitchen is large and well stocked, and provided plenty of room for hanging out. The dining room was also fairly large and had a nice table where we were able to gather and play games. We enjoyed the ping pong table and the foosball table as well.Plenty of seating in the living room for our group of 8.The house was very clean upon arrival. Located within minutes of downtown Asheville. The host was very quick to respond to any of our questions, and resolved all issues quickly.If I have an opportunity to go to Asheville again, I would definitely book this place again.

Fun property in a great location!

A great house with wonderful amenities! We had fun with foosball, ping pong, and darts on the back porch. The bedrooms were comfortable and overall the house was clean. Location is quiet and minutes away from downtown Asheville. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Monica’s Place (Asheville)

We had a lovely stay with our dog. We explored the city, having dinner at one of the many local restaurants. So many choices! Monica’s place was perfect for morning coffee on the breezy porch and evening respite with a fire. The hot tub was an extra treat for unwinding before bed. We could have brought our adult kids as there were plenty of space. The house was fully stocked with anything you might need, including all things for cooking. We enjoyed everything.

Awesome house close to downtown

I was celebrating my 50th birthday with a group of friends. This house was perfect for all of us. Plenty of space, very comfortable and cozy house with everything you need to have a great stay. The beds were very comfortable as well. It was very easy and cheap to get Ubers to downtown and back. I would absolutely stay at this house again. Everyone agreed it was a place we'd like to come back to every year! Monica was a great host, so friendly and welcoming and very responsive.

Exceptional stay. Extremely cozy.

This property was warm and inviting. Plenty of cookware in the kitchen to make amazing meals. The wood burning fireplace really enhanced our experience with our family for the holidays. The location is close to downtown. Our whole family adored this property and would highly recommend the property and Monica is very accommodating.

Couldn't ask for more

A group of long-time friends from the Midwest now in our 40's wanted to experience everything Asheville had to offer: hiking, breweries, golfing, Blue Ridge Parkway and this place was perfect for us. In a beautiful neighborhood just north of downtown up in the hills. Location was close, yet quiet. Nature everywhere and even saw bears a couple times! The highlight of the house had to be the front porch and patio area. We spent a lot of time out there hanging out, drinking coffee, eating meals, and had fires every night. Just serene and comfortable. It was also nice to have a kitchen with everything you need and a functional clean grill as we cooked several meals. Monica was a super attentive host and it was nice that she routinely reached out to see how we were doing and if there was anything we needed! She genuinely cared that we were enjoying Asheville. Very nice person to chat and would definitely rent from her again!

Beautiful home, great location

Excellent location for our family. The home was roomy and comfortable and had many amenities and sitting areas. We enjoyed the outside activities. The piano was a nice touch! Very close to groceries, food, and town. We felt like we were in the country but were so close to town.

Loved the Mountain Home!

We absolutely loved the property! Monica was very accessible and accommodating. The front covered porch (so cozy for coffee or late night drinks) the back covered porch (darts and ping pong), the hot tub (anytime) and the overall character of the home were all excellent. Really enjoyed Ashville and hiking the Great Smoky Mountains. Great way to spend our 25th wedding anniversary with our kids! Thanks Monica!

Great Stay, house very nice and functional

House and property as described, lot of room to move around. Very well appointed kitchen, bathrooms, didn't really need to bring anything even though we did. Great 2 level deck to spread out on. Stayed 4 nights for a family reunion with plenty of room for guests during the day. Hostess Monica was very attentive to our needs and very helpful with advice about the property. Would highly recommend the property!

Great Experience!

We loved our stay at this home for a long weekend! It is a great home with lots of space in bedrooms, lots of sitting areas, and a nice kitchen/dining room. The yard is a beautiful outdoor space, with lots of seating to enjoy the scenery. We enjoyed the hot tub at the home. We even got to see 2 bears around the property (from the inside of the house lol) which was so neat! The house was just a short drive <10 minutes into downtown Asheville, so perfect for travel to/from the city! I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a scenic get-away so close to such a fun city! The host was also very easy to communicate with and made check in/out so easy!

woodsy yet still close to downtown

House is great. It is well-stocked with plenty of space. It seems like a secluded setting when you are there, but it is short drive to everything. All of us love the breweries and the nature. Kids enjoyed the hot tub. Used the indoor fireplace and the outdoor fire pit. Plenty of wood at the house. Owner was very easy to work with. Enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely rent this house again.

Perfect for a Chill Bachelorette Asheville Experience

Five of my friends and I stayed at this property for my bachelorette party and it was great! The location was close enough to restaurant’s and breweries that we could get Lyfts but it was also very in nature to give us a camping vibe. It was also close enough to use delivery services like Uber eats and Instacart. The house was very well stocked for hosting a group and we were very comfortable. I personally really enjoyed the hot tub and multiple fire places to change up where we got to hang out through out the day and to help build in group activities. Monica was a very responsive host, which I also appreciated. I would definitely book this property again.

Gorgeous, secluded but close-to-town getaway

The house was absolutely beautiful. Plenty of space inside, and the front porch was a really great place to spend some time outside. The location is amazing. It's just a couple minute drive outside of the city, but still feels very remote and private. Monica was also a great host. She checked in to make sure everything was going okay a couple of times and graciously offered any help if we needed it. Definitely would consider coming back!

Hi! My name is Monica and thank you for reading about my precious property!

I'm a widow in her late 60's who's been enjoying the process of transforming this home into a real beauty. . .

When my husband, John, of 34 years died 12 years ago, I moved to Asheville and later bought this home. Through remodeling over 2yrs, i was able to decorate it as a very appealing and highly satisfying rental for adults and children alike!

My life's work/project- my 3 wonderful adult kids and 5 grandkids were the inspiration for this remodeling project! Because I want to keep them visiting me here, I had the incentive to make this a warm, yet somewhat “luxurious” mountain retreat!

I travel occasionally but will usually be here in town at a nearby home during your stay. It's always a pleasure to greet guests and welcome them to my home, so I look forward to meeting you and showing you around the house and grounds personally- it would be my pleasure!

I truly hope you Enjoy your stay- your days and nights (on the front porch with a fire!?) while you're here in lovely Asheville!

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

I fell in love with Asheville on my very first visit and moved into a rental here 6 months later! That was in 2010. As I searched for a home close to town to purchase some 2 1/2 years later, I was drawn immediately to this lovely, picturesque spot, overlooking a pond and facing an evergreen mountain that fills the view! I knew I had to live here!

So, after purchasing it in the Spring of 2013, I undertook dramatic renovations which have brought great response and delight to family and visitors alike. It's been great fun!

I'm proud of the place and pleased to offer a home of this caliber so close to town... 5 minutes! Great views, large front porch, back “games” porch, gourmet kitchen, 6-7 person newer hot tub and a secluded front and backyard.

Also, if you are arriving from several directions, easy parking for up to four cars is available at the house with a seperate turnaround green space.

This home is perfect for a family get-together out in the woods w/ a terrific view and firepit!

Bedroom number four is a rather unique upstairs apt for 1-2 with a full bed, fridge, microwave and storage space for snacks! Great rec room for the kids, too!
Small tv w/Dish satellite as around the house, loveseat and coffee table.

While enjoying the Living Room, relax on the new leather sofa with extra seating. The room features a candelabra, a mountain-view and often a roaring fireplace!
Piano in the dining room for music lovers~
Great neighborhood for walking, too! Three laps around the pond below is about a mile!

A slow, one-way path around this pond takes you through our quiet, little neighborhood.
Please observe a 10pm curfew on loud, outdoor gatherings. Revelry on the front porch or up in the acres of woods above carries an echo "heard all 'round the pond!". So do, please, respect this curfew each evening. Thanks so much!
