Too Tiny for Two

The room was too tiny for two people. It was nicely refurbished, but there was room for only one suitcase and we had to put it on the tiny table to open it. The ventilation was poor even with the AC unit—which had no instructions—so I had to get up and down 3 times during the night to turn it off and on. There were no cups (paperer otherwise) to use to get water or make tea in the microwave.

Prime time of season you are having a newly renovated room heart of Boothbay to rent for just one night on 95$ and you don t even know how to control AC and complaining about it, all other guests have same AC and never heard of anything like you saying. Self education is why so important what I see in here , yes we did not put cups in the rooms but we have maine lodge building to provide , oven, plates , cups etc. if you have asked for help any about those , we could help you right away. Your Room was not a King suit I agree with that but for one night staying on 90$ it is more then enough and comfortable. Please never come back to our property , unappreciative people are not welcome .

Booked through Expedia. Wanted to change date and they couldnt contact host. I went to the motel and there is no office and the place was dirty. Tried to cancel and Expedia still could not contact the host. Neighbors said there had been automatic weapons fire behind the motel and law enforcement had been there. Was not anywhere near as advertised. Dirty gas grill in the parking lot. Met with represenative of the host on checkin date and requested my money back and was told they couldnt do that. Am presently going through my credit card company to get refund.

The location was a 10 minute drive from Boothbay and the rooms were newly renovated and very cute. But some of the furniture was coming apart during normal use. Biggest concerns were as follows:1. Very poor communication from host. They didn't provide us with entry information until the morning of, and didn't answer our messages. We ended up calling VRBO the night before as we were scared from the lack of contact. They got ahold of the host who finally answered us the night before arrival. At one point I needed something during our stay and it took the host almost the whole day to return my messages.2. The drain in the shower was very slow to drain, so the dirty water built up while you showered. The door to the shower was also in need of repair, coming off as you touched it.3. There was no trash cans in our room or bathroom. We had to throw the trash on the floor. I reached out to the host requesting a trash can. I reached out to the host and they ultimately just left us a trash bag. Having a bag of trash laying on our floor was not much better than the trash laying directly on the floor.
