Great Place to Stay, Gorgeous View, Could Use a few Updates.

We chose this property primarily for its location and bedroom setup. Having two full/queen beds in the second bedroom (instead of bunks or a single bed) was a must for us, and this condo met that requirement perfectly. The space and amenities were great, and the view from the master bedroom was absolutely stunning.However, there were a few downsides to our stay. We really wanted a golf cart, but this property did not include one, and per HOA rules, renting one from an off-site location wasn’t an option. Additionally, we weren’t informed that the pool was under construction until after our final payment, which could have been a major issue if the weather hadn’t been so nice.While the condo itself was spacious, it had a strong musty smell, and the tile and grout could use a deep cleaning. The couch was worn and dirty to the point that we placed a sheet over it to sit comfortably. The "dresser" in the second bedroom was more of an old buffet cabinet, making clothing storage difficult. The pots and pans were heavily worn, particularly the Teflon ones, and could use an upgrade.One unexpected issue was the neighbors—permanent residents with two large dogs that were not well-managed. The dogs would often nip at us in the elevator, and their owners acted as if everyone should be okay with it.Overall, the location and layout were great, but some updates and better communication about amenities and restrictions would have improved our experience.

Great Location but had Issues

Destin is beautiful and location was great. Easy access to the beach. Had several issues- -Water was not working for about 4 hours after checking in and were not told it was off - the floors were filthy -the light outside the door was not working and living area fan light. Very dark without it - screen door to balcony from master bedroom was leaning against the wall. - usually places have a few basics to start like coffee filters. Hand soap and hair dryer. Had issues waking the tv. Broken glass in the elevator window. Had fun in Destin but these things need to be improved.

Overall great stay

The condo is very nice, and it is in a great area. However, this is the second time we have stayed in the building and both times there ended up being construction and water outages. Not sure I will chance it again. Despite this, we had a great time. The beach is beautiful, and the view from this unit is stunning!

Just could have been better for the price point.

The room and location are great. Communication was slow at best. Very limited accomodations. Room was fairly clean but there wasn't a single dish we pulled out to use that was clean. Found a few small bug including a Roch. Also we had to buy an umbrella due to the one that was said to be provided being broken. All in all this could have just been better.

The view of this condo is absolutely amazing. It made the drive worth it even though it was in the winter months it was still absolutely beautiful scenery to wake up to every day. The beaches are beautiful and clean . To work with the owners/property manager was simple and easy. They were super helpful and friendly. Nice but not ideal for the money

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beachside II 4367 was a decent condo. Would I stay there again, probably not. The location was not ideal due to there was nothing close. You either had to drive or wait for the Tram. I specifically wanted/stated/asked for a condo where I could walk to shops or walk up to a quick in and out grocery store but I ended up having to drive to the Publix 4 times which by the end of the trip cost me about $350. Also there was construction taking place which was not disclosed at the time of booking. I had no curtain on the living room window. It was the 17th floor but other condos could clearly see in your windows. Also the bathroom windows were not tinted and had no shades so if anyone had binoculars at the condo over, they could clearly see you taking a shower. Keypads were used at every entrance and so you had to remember the codes on top of managing kids which is enough stress so trying to remember the code on top of trying to remember does the pound come before or after the number. It was confusing because you had to use a code to the beach gate but the beach was very public so why the code at the beach gate? You could rent chairs but the condo allows anyone to fully set up a tent on the front row in front of those nice expensive beach chairs you rented and it is allowed to set up right in the walking path to the beach so easy access to beach was nearly impossible and very much false advertisement. "Easy access beach" I think not. The only thing that made this trip okay was the customer service. Even though they could not fix what I had concerns about they were so kind and understanding and felt they really did care there was drilling above my condo.

Building & Unit under renovation

We were told & emailed at booking that if our unit was under renovation we would be notified prior to checkin. Upon arrival 1 of the screen doors on the back patio was not attached. Outlets were not working in half of the unit, there was an open outlet in the master so our infants could grab the wires. There was no curtain in the Living room so no privacy or ability for kids sleeping on the pullout couch to sleep after 5:30am due to the sunlight. The 20' curtain rod was also in the floor of the living room and we were told only on our 2nd day of our stay that it could NOT be fixed or removed. Additionally the TV in the Living room only worked 2 of the 7 days due to outlet/switch issues. Also, the pool was closed for 2 of our 6 days there. One of the days when the pool reopened, they made everyone vacate due to PH levels not being correct. The Blender in the room also did not work so had to be replaced, in addition 1 of the beach chairs that comes with the unit was torn so had to be replaced. The beachfront was also super crowded. You don't see this in photos but the rental chairs/umbrellas available are 4 rows deep however those using their own just setup 2-3 rows in front of that & on top of each other so you really have no beach view. Additionally it's not a private beach and has public beach access right next to the resort so very overcrowded. We got a partial refund of 10%. It was a nice place. The tv in living room didn’t work. All of the outlets on the wall where the tv was didn’t work. Looked like there were some upgrades going on in the condo that hadn’t quite been completed. Screen door was on the balcony and curtain rod in living room under a cabinet…. Few outlets without covers. However the decor was great. Nice furnishings. Very clean. Overall would stay again!

Overall it was very nice! Have stayed at Beachside 2 before. This unit had a mildew smell in extra bedroom! A little air freshener mad it okay. Just wished owners left more trash bags.

Good fall break trip.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location; everything was perfect for a good family trip.
