Diamond Lake Getaway
We needed a pet-friendly place to stay on Diamond Lake while participating in a family reunion that was taking place at another property on the lake.
The accommodations were very comfortable. The interior is all nicely renovated and up-to-date. We did not cook or use the kitchen, but it appears to be well-appointed. There is a lovely view of the lake from the living room, kitchen, and sun porch. The master bed was extremely comfortable.
This seems to be a relatively new listing, and I think there may have been some miscommunications or procedures that need to be streamlined for future rentals. No check-in or check-out instructions were emailed to me. Upon arrival, I had to call and text the property manager for an access code. When the property manager did not respond, I contacted VRBO - first through the online chat and then through the phone representative. Eventually, the property manager emailed the codes (I was expecting a call/text), but no instructions. In addition, about six loads of dirty laundry were left, including wet towels that were molding and turning orange. I would have preferred not to have done so much laundry on my vacation.
Aside from the two issues above, the property and stay were great, and I recommend it to others.
