Abgeschiedenheit, Gelassenheit und Entspannung sind in diesem sehr privaten Haus, dem Kaptain's Treasure, leicht zu finden. 500 Fuß bringen Sie zum Strand oder zum öffentlichen Park von Carova. Die ruhige Umgebung sind nur die Grundlage für die Gelassenheit Sie Kaptain Schatz genießen. Lounge rund um den großen privaten Pool oder in der 6 Personen Whirlpool, während Sie die Kinder in ihrem eigenen privaten Kiddielache spritzen. Machen Sie ein Picknick im Außenbereich oder gehen Sie ins Spielzimmer mit Billardtisch, Küchenzeile mit Kühlschrank und Mikrowelle sowie bequemen Sitzgelegenheiten und Fernseher. Jedes Zimmer mit DISH und Smart-TV im Wohnbereich und zwei Schlafzimmer!

Der Schlaf Ebene verfügt über 4 Schlafzimmer: zwei Kingsize-Zimmer mit eigenem Bad und zwei weitere Räume, die ein Bad, eines mit einem Doppelbett und das andere mit einem Duo-Bett und ein Doppelbett teilen. Umzug bis zur dritten Ebene, werden Sie einen anderen König Master-Schlafzimmer und einen geräumigen Wohnbereich mit WC finden.

Das Wohnzimmer / Essbereich wird die zentrale Masse halten, aber keine Sorge, wenn Sie einen ruhigen Ort zum Entspannen wollen. Relaxing beach trip with 3 generations

Would definitely rent again, house well maintained and clean, wild horses visited are location daily. Beach easily accessible by walking or driving, even though we had to drive 8 miles of 4x4 beach driving it was not an issue and never a dull ride, all 3 husbands enjoyed the drive and rest of family enjoyed the ocean view. Trips into town were positive many places to eat or just grab and ice cream. Grocery stores all easily accessible.

First time Outer Banks

Kaptain’s Treasurer is a beautiful vacation home. Our family appreciated how well thought out the property is for vacation hopes and needs. The 4x4 access only property was a new experience and for first time OBX vacation, this was a full committed experience. The daily observation of the horses was a breathtaking sight. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay at Kaptain's Treasure. This home has been meticulously maintained by loving owners who pour heart and soul into the care of their home. And it shows! The beach is an easy walk, just 400 feet over the dune! The pool is a fantastic place to spend the afternoon if you get "beached out". And the level one game room is a great gathering space for a little pool tournament. Besides the pool, the level one fridge and full bath make it easy to spend the entire day on one floor! But you will want to go to level three for the lovely kitchen in which it is easy to make just any meal you can conjure. Kaptain's Treasure is just that, a real treasure.

Thanks so much for your review. Kaptain's Treasure is a beautiful home and the owners keep it very well maintained. They work on it for at least a month every winter. Wish we could duplicate them and put them in OUR house for a month!! lol I understand the towels question. The owners decided about ten years ago not to provide towels and to keep the rate a little lower because of it. I hope it won't deter you from a repeat visit. Carova Cottages and Kaptain's Treasure would love to have you return.

A great time!

We had a great time! Properly was in perfect proximity to the beach and after we learned the ropes of the 4x4 beach driving, we loved it. We had considered driving AWD vehicles and were relieved we decided to rent 4x4. For anyone flying into Norwalk we rented a Jeep Wrangler from Marquis off TURO and would 100% recommend. Beautiful!!! Relaxing!!!!Me and my family loved this place.We saw wild horses about every day.The beach was just minutes away, easy for the kids to go to the beach. This house has plenty of room for a family, and they just loved the pool table.We relaxed in the spa and the kids swim in the pool.Laura, the property manager is absolutely wonderful.She is quick to respond and if something is wrong or breaks, she gets replacement or it gets fixed quick.It is recommended that you do have a four-wheel-drive. There is a reason for that..The 8 mile ride up the beach in the loose sand can be tricky without a four-wheel-drive.Only negative thing that I would say about getting to the property is in Duck,Check-in is usually on Saturday and there’s lots of properties so there’s lots of people trying to get to their condos and houses so just be prepared for that.But I would have to say this was our best family vacationWe loved Outer Banks..

But there are AWD vehicles here so I guess there are some that can make it. You're right about the slow down in Duck! It can be annoying to have time added to your drive. But if you plan on it, maybe it's less stressful. We hope you will come again!!

I was looking to do something different and I got it.

The house was a good location.As on prior places we have stayed it is going to be a lil tuff on the elderly ones as far as steps.We are used to that.Coming in on peak high tide was a complete eye opener for the first time , driving 8 miles on the beach.Next day I was good to go.House was cool, Horses were cool and the weather was nice.You will need to make very good preparations unless you want to travel back to town everyday.Plenty of sunscreen and bug spray and you might have to remove a pile of horse$&@@“:.Just saying.Would go back🤘

LOL. YES, the flip side of wild horses is wild horse $&@@ LOL. Kaptain's Treasure is a cool place as you said! I think the drive to town makes you feel compelled to make do with the supplies you have, but DEFINITELY bring enough of the important stuff, like wine! ;-) All the houses here have a reverse floor plan with the living area on the top floor. It was done PURPOSEFULLY so you would have to work off all the good food you are eating! I hear you about those steps though. :-0 I am glad you liked your vacation. It is definitely an experience worth having particularly with some high tide driving! What an adventure!

Great family trip

This vacation house was everything we were looking for this year. We had easy access to the beach a nice pool to relax in and a hot tub for the evenings. The 3rd floor was a great gathering spot for everyone and fit us all when it was time to eat. We realized a few days into the trip that the drying wasn’t drying the towels/clothes very fast and within 2 days the super nice pool/handy man came with a brand new dryer. Laura and David were amazing! We had a wonderful week!

Beach

Our family ranged in age from 63 to 6 months. 4 adult couples and 4 kids. Starting with the con’s: Not many though. The house has no gas grill. Problem is the charcoal grill is 3 floors down. So inconvenient. Pots n pans in kitchen we’re from 1980’s!!! Bring a sauté pan cuz your eggs are gonna stick! Now the pro’s: house is roomy and tons of bathrooms. Even one outside! Pools were great and hot tub was a nice one. Best part was the 2 second ride to beach! Or 5 min walk to beach. Ice at the fire station was a blessing. Also, we went into town but airing tires up and down is not fun. Especially when the lines are long!!!

HI and thanks for your review. Sorry about the grill. It must be located on the ground floor as that is the fire code for this area. I know it is inconvenient. Take a chair from the pool area maybe? I think the kitchen ware is probably relatively new, the house is not that old.. 1980 haha. This owner is particularly attentive to keeping things fresh in the kitchen, but I will take a look next week. You do not not have to air up and down and up and down. We ride to as far as kitty hawk with 20 pounds in our tires. It is not going to hurt anything (maybe gas mileage) for the short time you ride with low tires. The tires on our cars wear a little faster than normal, but we live and work on the beach and have to travel on pavement regularly. We just don't air up! YES, the access to the beach is stellar !! :-)

Post Covid Family Escape

Our experience at this home was nothing short of wonderful. We enjoyed every minute at this property. The beach is a short walk over a hill away everything worked very well around the house. The only challenge with this property is driving to it and driving away from it. Driving on the beach and up the sand dune hill can be a bit challenging which should only be done at low tide! Also, leaving the property was a particular challenge as one has to not only deal with driving on sand they also have to leave the property and go home!

Your review made me laugh. DEFINITELY the hardest part of any vacation is leaving!! The sand driving adds adventure and a chance to see the ocean one last time before heading home. I remember leaving... and planning our return on the way home. I hope you will consider returning. We'd love to have you.

Beautiful property in an ideal location

This was the perfect pandemic getaway for our family. The property was even better than it appeared in the listing and was just a short walk from the beach. The sunroom, pool, and hot tub made our stay absolutely perfect. The property manager was very responsive to our questions and concerns. We will definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity.
