I’m Kedric, and I was born and raised right here in Turtletown, Tennessee. No matter where life has taken me—big cities, new adventures—I always find my way back home to this land. I’m a country boy at heart, and these hills, valleys, and creeks are part of who I am.
I’m a hairstylist by trade, trained at the Paul Mitchell School of Beauty in Knoxville, and later an instructor at the Paul Mitchell School in Charlotte, North Carolina. I’ve always loved working with people, listening to their stories, and making them feel welcome and cared for.
Hosting at Winedrops Creekside Camping lets me share the land I love with others. I want guests to experience the simple joys I grew up with—walking the hills and exploring the woods, catching crawdads in the creek, sitting under the moonlit sky, watching shooting stars, and hearing the crickets, owls, and the occasional distant howl at night. This place is peaceful, magical, and full of memories, and I’m grateful to share it with you.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft
My name is Kedric, and Turtletown, Tennessee, is more than just the place I was born—it’s the place that shaped my heart, my values, and the way I see the world. I grew up on this land, running through these woods, splashing in this creek, and learning the kind of lessons you can only learn from nature and family. Even though life has taken me to big cities and new adventures, I’ve always found my way back home.
There’s something about these hills and valleys that calls me, something steady and grounding that reminds me who I am. I’m a country boy at heart, raised on simple joys and honest work. My childhood was filled with long days exploring the woods, climbing trees, catching crawdads, and listening to the sounds of the night settle in. Lying on my back in the grass, staring up at the stars, trying to count them even though I knew I never could. Those memories stayed with me, even when I moved away.
Before becoming a host, I built a career as a hairstylist. I trained at the Paul Mitchell School of Beauty in Knoxville, where I learned not just the technical skills of cutting and styling hair, Later, I taught at the Paul Mitchell School in Charlotte, North Carolina. Teaching gave me a deeper appreciation for people’s stories and dreams. I loved helping students grow, watching them find confidence, and being part of their journey. Working with people has always come naturally to me, and hospitality feels like an extension of that same calling.
Winedrops Creekside Camping grew out of that desire to share the land I love with others. This property has been in my family for years, and it holds memories of laughter, hard work, and togetherness. Turning it into a glamping retreat wasn’t just a business idea—it was a way to honor my roots.
Thank you for choosing to stay at Winedrops Creekside Camping. It means a lot to share this place with you. I hope your time here brings you peace, joy, and memories that stay with you long after you leave.

Das macht diese Unterkunft einzigartig
What makes this property truly unique is the natural creek that wraps gently around the land. This isn’t just any creek—it’s crystal‑clear, pure mountain water that has been flowing through Turtletown for generations. Locals often stop along the roadside to fill jugs straight from the creek because it’s cleaner and fresher than anything you can buy in a store. "If you never drank spring water, you haven't lived"
The land itself adds to the magic. It’s quiet, peaceful, and tucked away from the noise of everyday life. Even though the property is off the grid, it still offers the comforts and conveniences of home,
Whether you’re relaxing by the creek, stargazing at night, or simply soaking in the stillness, this property offers a rare kind of serenity. It’s a place where you can breathe deeply, slow down, and feel completely safe and at peace. In the winter, when the snow settles across the land like a soft white blanket, this property becomes a world of its own. You can fall back and make snow angels, or walk to the frozen lake where the ice glistens in the cold morning light. Winter here has a quiet magic that stays with you.
The land itself isn’t the only thing that makes this place special—the people do too. My mom and dad built a home here with their own hands. They raised me on this land and taught me the values that shaped my life. My dad always told me, “Be proud of your name. Be proud of who you are and where you were raised.” I am proud of this land, proud of my name, and I will always cherish both
What makes 225 McFarland Road truly unique is the sacrifice and hard work poured into it by my dad and my stepdad. They worked day and night, turning this property into a home and a place of beauty. Every trail, every cleared space, every improvement carries their fingerprints. Their dedication is woven into the soil, the trees, and the creek that runs through it. This land is more than a location—it’s a legacy built with love, sweat, and devotion.
