Welcome to the Northwoods! Our very clean, newly updated vacation home overlooks the beautiful Big Lake Chetac, north of Birchwood the "Bluegill Capitol." Relax and enjoy the lake views, the surrounding natural beauty of the forest and our abundant wild life.
Big Lake Chetac and Little Birch Lake (connected by a channel) are known for a variety of fish including walleye, northern pike, bass, perch, crappie and Bluegill. Hundreds of miles of ATV and hiking trails (including the Tuscobia Trail) can be accessed in town and there is always a specialty boutique, craft shop to explore or a festival to attend (Hayward Fall Fair, the Birkebeiner, etc.) Please view the following link for more ideas:

Our home has lake views from every room except the bathrooms! The kitchen is fully equipped with a full sized refrigerator, gas range/oven, microwave, dishes and silverware (toddler place settings and cups available), pots, pans, baking dishes, etc. Other equipment available is a blender, coffee maker (kcup or pot), food processor, toaster, crock pot, large roasting pans and an air fryer for your convenience. 4 burner Weber grill also available for use.
The house is over 2,000 square feet to accommodate 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and 2 family rooms. 3 bedrooms featuring king size beds, 1 full bath with tub/shower (knotty pine walls and beautiful tiled shower), kitchen and family room are located on the first floor. There are sliding glass doors that open to the deck and a breathtaking view from the family room!
On the lower level, you will find the 4th bedroom with 2 queen beds, a family room with plenty of space for gathering, playing games and/or ping pong, watching TV and enjoying lake views. The second bath is on this level as well and is recently remodeled. Sliding doors lead to the patio and then just a few steps down to the dock. Bring your own boat (plenty of room for trailer parking and lake access nearby) or fishing boats and pontoons available for rent from nearby resorts. Enjoy the outdoor fire pit for a relaxing lakeside campfire.
Separate fish cleaning house complete with sink, counter/cleaning area and freezer (seasonal). Lake access in winter, UTV and snowmobile can ride directly onto the ice.
For our youngest guests we provide a high chair and pack 'n play.
We are licensed by and compliant with all Sawyer County and State of Wisconsin laws and ordinances relating to Tourist Rooming Homes.
