Nestled in the woods our cabin is surrounded by towering trees, wild flowers and frog croaks. Our home exudes a sense of tranquility , inviting guests to leave behind the hustle and bustle of the outside world and embrace the peacefulness of nature. Only minutes away from Fort Flagler where you can enjoy walking, biking, picnicking, beach exploration and many more activities. Come and enjoy a perfectly peaceful stay.
More about the inside space: This home boasts an open floor plan comfortably holding 5 guests. The upstairs `loft` has 3 beds. 1 queen, 1 full & 1 twin bed. We provide all basic necessities to make you feel at home including but not limited to; linens, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, oil for cooking, salt & pepper, tea, coffee, creamer.
More about the outside space: This home is located at the end of a private drive way. It has a large deck with outdoor dining, BBQ and firepit.
More about the location: The house is 17 minutes to the Port Hadlock and 36 minutes to downtown Port Townsend. Best of all, you have the option of taking the ferries (Bainbridge or Edmonds) or driving around, which are both approximately two hours. Nordland & Marrowstone Island offer a wealth of activities for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. Whether you enjoy hiking, boating, or simply exploring the pristine surroundings, there is something for everyone.
Things to note: Guests will have access to the house. Please stay out of storage areas, boat storage and neighboring properties. We do not have beach access. The home has wetlands surrounding the area, bring bug spray!
*There will be a Security deposit for $500 held against your card 48 hours before arrival. If no damage is reported by staff, this will be released 24 hours after checkout*
-Important: All cancellations are subject to a non-refundable payment processing fee. For VRBO bookings, this is listed as an “administrative fee” and is calculated at 5.5% of the base rate to reflect the payment processing and integration costs incurred on the full reservation amount, including cleaning and tax charges. Direct bookings (website): 4% fee. This fee covers third-party processing costs and is not retained by us. Thank you for understanding!
-The speed limit on our road is a VERY STRICT 10 MPH on the paved road and 5 MPH on the dirt road. This is very important to us and our surrounding neighbors. There are children, pets, deer and others who are always out and about that you need to keep you eyes out for. Please respect this speed limit.
-Maximum number of guests not to exceed 5.
-No pets
-Only use fireplace and fire pit if you have adequate experience and know how to operate safely. Use of the fireplace, fire pit, is at your own risk and with the understanding that you are responsible for any damage caused by your use of the same. Please do not introduce unapproved items in the woodstove – just firewood, kindling, matches, fire starters, Duraflame Logs, and this goes for the fire pit as well.
-Local fire-ban ordinances must be observed with regards to the outside fire pit. Care must be taken to keep fires under control and to a reasonable size.
-Be a good neighbor. No trespassing onto neighboring properties. There is no access to the beach.
-This house uses a septic system; ONLY toilet paper can be flushed.
-Because we keep our home sparkly clean for you, we kindly ask that you lend a helping hand. Clean any dishes used, put dirty laundry in hamper, you know the basic stuff... It helps keep the cleaning costs down for you and future guests.
-We`re keeping the floors clean for our guests, please no shoes in house.
-Accidents happen, when they do please notify us as soon as possible. This is the best way to ensure the return of your security deposit.
-No illegal drugs allowed.
-Please be respectful of our neighbors. You`d be surprised how sound travels through the neighborhood, please keep noise to a minimum between the hours of 10:00pm and 8:00am.
-Please help mother earth. Turn lights and accessories off; heat at 65 degrees when not in use.
-No smoking of anything allowed indoors, smoke it outside please.
-We are honored you decided to stay with us, however if your goal is to throw a party this is not the destination for you. Any such behavior will result in immediate removal from the property.
-Want to stay an extra hour or so? Should be fine but requires approval, let us know in advance.
-Please stay out of the attic, crawlspace, shop and storage areas. These areas are dangerous and not designed for guests.
-PARKING – Parking is limited to 2 vehicle(s). Vehicles are to be parked on the driveway only. Any illegally parked cars in the community are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
-Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit towels or linens to be removed from the cabin.
-Storm: No refunds will be given in the event that a storm or severe weather conditions limits your accessibility to our home or causes a power outage. We recommend all-wheel drive/four-wheel drive and/or chains during snowstorms. We do not refund due to road conditions; however, we will assess this case by case and are willing to compensate accordingly to make it fair for both parties.
- Check-out: Guests will be charged an extra $25 for late check out; check out time is 11:00am unless otherwise talked about with the host. The charge is $25 per 30 minute increment. Thank you for being respectful of the hosts and cleaners time.
--Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit towels or linens to be removed from the home.
-We do not permit supplies, furniture, decorative items, appliances, and other furnishings to be removed from the home. Please leave the home as you found it.
-Please do not play with or tamper with the decorations on walls or shelfs. These are for guests to enjoy, not for play.
-Violations of these rules can result in additional fees or immediate cancelation of your reservation and removal from the property without refund.
License to Occupy Only; No Landlord-Tenant Relationship.
Guest acknowledges and agrees that this Agreement creates a revocable license to occupy the Property for transient lodging purposes only. This Agreement is not a lease, does not convey any real-property interest, and does not create a landlord-tenant relationship under any state or local law.
Primary Guest Responsible for All Occupants.
The individual who books the reservation (“Primary Guest”) hereby accepts full legal and financial responsibility for (a) themselves, (b) all other guests, occupants, invitees, visitors, or persons allowed onto the Property (“Additional Guests”), regardless of whether such persons have signed this Agreement. Primary Guest represents and warrants that all Additional Guests shall comply with all rules, policies, and terms of this Agreement. Any breach of this Agreement by an Additional Guest shall be deemed a breach by the Primary Guest.
Indemnification and Hold Harmless.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Primary Guest and all Additional Guests shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Owner, Property Manager, and their respective members, officers, employees, agents, and contractors (“Indemnified Parties”) from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, fines, penalties, attorney fees, or costs arising out of or related to:
(a) Guest’s or any Additional Guest’s use or occupancy of the Property;
(b) violations of this Agreement or House Rules;
(c) personal injury, death, or property damage occurring on or about the Property;
(d) actions or omissions of Additional Guests, invitees, or third parties allowed onto the Property.
This indemnity applies even if only the Primary Guest executes this Agreement.
Responsibility for Unauthorized Guests.
Primary Guest is responsible for ensuring that no person enters or occupies the Property unless disclosed to Owner or Property Manager. Primary Guest shall be liable for the conduct, damages, and violations caused by any unauthorized guest, whether known to Primary Guest or not.
