Welcome to the Golden Dome Getaway!

We are thrilled to be your hosts...my name is Tess and this unique experience was curated with you in mind. My experience as a college athlete (I was a springboard/platform diver) inspired this vision. Some of my fondest memories are when our parents would descend upon the campus to support us at our events, competitions and social gatherings. I mean yes, don't get me wrong, we were in our late teens/early twenties really enjoying our freedom too! BUT, there was something to be said when our parents gathered from around the country to support us and cheers us on. Parents, we need you (always!)!

And for you alumni! Traveling back "home" to your college campus brings back a flood of emotions, right?! I get it! So much pride stirs about in my heart when I walk college campuses and reflect on my own experiences.

Thus, the Golden Dome Getaway was born...as a haven to relax amid the bustle of supporting your Notre Dame students/athletes or in the nostalgia of your college days after a game day or reunion.

We strive to make it a special experience from one student-athlete/alumni to another. 😊

Indoor Features:
Step inside to a world where your comfort is our priority. The common area, designed for relaxation and togetherness, invites you to unwind after a campus tour, celebrate a victorious home-game win, or cheer on our Fighting Irish during an away-game on our 55" TV screen! Our interactive infinity game table and engaging wall games, set in an atmosphere of immersive artwork and token keepsakes that touch on Notre Dame’s rich history, set the scene!

Similar in size, both bedrooms are off of the main common area. They have plush Queen beds, plenty of pillows, conveniently located outlets, and a wall-mounted TV. The bedrooms are dedicated, respectively, to two of Notre Dame’s athletic programs: Ice Hockey & Lacrosse.

“[The] sunroom in front was perfect. I sat in that room while drinking coffee every morning.”

Our cozy sunroom, located off the Lacrosse room, is the perfect place to begin your day with a large cup of coffee (check out our eclectic array of mugs!) or to unwind at day’s end with a glass of wine or cup of hot cocoa.

With so many awesome dining options in the South Bend, you won’t need the kitchen much. But just in case, you’ll find everything you need for cooking up breakfasts or tailgate appetizers. This is also where you’ll find our favorite place in the house – the coffee bar! We’ve got flavored syrups, coffee pods, and an extensive collection of school spirited mugs to choose from!

Outdoor Living:
Experience cozy evenings in the backyard, perfect for lounging and stargazing in comfy Adirondack chairs. Cornhole and Ladder Toss are available for the those looking to spark their competitive spirit! And of course, the fire pit awaits for memorable nights under the stars, roasting s’mores and hotdogs, while embracing the historical charm of the neighborhood.
