🏝️Welcome to The Hideaway, perfectly nestled in the woods! This charming beach home is only 3.5 miles from Surf City Pier and a 5-minute drive to the local Walmart, restaurants, and shops. Newly renovated, it is equipped with keyless entry, a Smart TV, and free WiFi. Ideal for families, this beach getaway comfortably sleeps 6-8 people across 3 bedrooms and a queen air mattress. Enjoy the spacious front yard with a fire pit, and the large back deck featuring cozy outdoor seating, swings, and a BBQ grill.

Great place for a girls wknd! My friend and I enjoyed the fire place and the house was clean, inviting, great amenities and everyday supplies. The coffee bar was a nice touch!

Loved it

Would love to go back when it's warmer to enjoy all the awesome outside stuff! We enjoyed it, love the big rooms and spacious porches for coffee even in the cold was nice!!

Amazing hideaway

We choose this beautiful home to spend our family vacation it was absolutely everything we needed and more, we had so much fun and creative beautiful memories there. The location is perfect only 8 minutos from Surf city beach, many grocery stores, gas station, gift shops, restaurants and ice cream shops near! Its a quiet and peaceful location. The Host was so attentive and nice before, during and after our staying. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare your meals coffee etc. The laundry rooms and bathrooms clean and equipped as well. The patio was one of our favorite part of the house. For sure we will be back!!!!

Inside was amazing and beautiful.

The hosts were amazing, and accommodating. The place looked exactly like the pictures, but it's located on a rocky road with abandoned trailers. When you drive down the road to the location, one of the trailers appears to have been set on fire, and there is a lot of trash in the area. The location is set towards the back. It was very convenient to the beach, about 10-15 minutes away depending on which part of the beach you're going to. The beach is huge, and the pier was beautiful. However, if you're a single woman or a woman with kids, I wouldn't recommend staying here without a male companion.

The homes that appear abandoned are currently undergoing renovations, which will soon improve the overall appearance of the area. Additionally, we are in the process of installing another light pole along the gravel road to enhance night-time visibility. For your peace of mind, we have three outdoor security cameras and a smart door lock in place as added safety measures. Your feedback is invaluable to us as it helps us grow and improve as hosts. Not Recommended/ Nightmare Experience

If I could write a review without giving a single star I would. I’ve traveled w/ VRBO for years & this was by far the worst host & experience. #1 The property is in a trailer park & neighboring homes look sketchy (look abandoned w/ junk/ trash outside). #2 NO PRIVACY- there are security cameras right outside the front door & facing the backyard directly where the hammock, swings, & sitting area is- We couldn’t enjoy any of the outdoor space because we felt we were being watched, which apparently we were.. (the host will contact you if they see anything that bothers them & will harass you if you don’t respond right away). VRBO customer service was involved during our stay- Discrimination & host demanded to see proof/ medical docs., even though that’s completely against federal law. #3 Host does not care about guest rights or boundaries. #4 The temp will not go below 80 during the day. #5 Pest control issue- ant trails surrounding the inside (ceiling, countertops, on the dishware, even in the beds). #6 The water (all: shower, sinks, washer) isn’t clear & smells like sewage. #7 This is a “beach house” though beach towels are not provided? Good grief, please stay away.

Hi, we’re sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. As Superhosts with multiple properties, we prioritize our guests' comfort and safety. Our property, located on a secluded half-acre lot, is newly renovated. While you may pass other mobile homes under renovation, we assure a safe environment, knowing all our neighbors. Our listing mentions outdoor cameras for security, monitored only during check-in and check-out. We had to involve VRBO support because you brought two medium-sized dogs without prior notification, despite our no-pet policy. VRBO supported our request for service dog documentation after your delayed response several times. We apologize for the ant issue; had we known, we would have addressed it immediately. Our goal is to respect our guests' privacy and ensure a pleasant stay. The home’s AC unit is new and effective, with no previous complaints. The well water, while occasionally sulfur-scented, is filtered and safe. We appreciate your feedback on beach towels and will consider adding them. Better communication could have resolved many concerns and avoided misunderstandings regarding your service animals. Thank you.
