Dieses kürzlich renovierte Haus ist perfekt für die große Familie mit kleinem Budget. Es ist vollgepackt mit Funktionen, die die Familie lieben wird, wie eine frisch renovierte Küche, ein Billardtisch, ein Airhockeytisch und eine neue, geschützte Feuerstelle im Freien mit Blick auf die Great Smoky Mountains und den Lake Fontana.

Das kürzlich renovierte Haus verfügt über einen neu gestalteten Kamin, einen neuen Teppich und aktualisierte Möbel in mehreren Zimmern. Im Mittelpunkt des Renovierungsprojekts stand jedoch die Küche. Wunderschöne neue Schränke, Granitoberflächen und alle neuen Edelstahlgeräte, einschließlich eines separaten Weinkühlschranks in der neu geschaffenen Wet-Bar, unterstreichen die Liebe, die in dieses Projekt gesteckt wurde.

Das Hauptschlafzimmer verfügt über ein Kingsize-Bett, ein Bad mit Whirlpool, einen 42-Zoll-Plasma-TV und eine private Terrasse mit spektakulärem Blick auf die Great Smoky Mountains und den Lake Fontana. Zwei der anderen Schlafzimmer haben jeweils ein Queensize-Bett. Das vierte Schlafzimmer hat ein Doppelbett. Es gibt einen Futon im Spielzimmer und ein Schlafsofa im Wohnzimmer.

Der Außenbereich ist groß und Sie können die herrliche Aussicht von den mehreren Decks, dem Whirlpool und der neu gebauten, geschützten Feuerstelle im Freien genießen. Versammeln Sie die Familie um die Feuerstelle und bewahren Sie Ihre Lieblingsgetränke und Zutaten für "Feuerfutter" griffbereit und sicher vor den Elementen und Waldbewohnern auf, indem Sie sie in das praktische Regal des Feuerstellenschutzes stellen. Zusätzlich gibt es eine neu installierte Gas-Feuerstelle auf dem Achterdeck, die die Familie ebenfalls genießen kann (derzeit nicht abgebildet).

Die Lage zwischen dem Fontana-Damm und dem Dorf Stecoah in unmittelbarer Nähe der NC-28 macht dieses Camp zu einem idealen Ausgangspunkt für Fahrausflüge auf dem Cherohala Skyway oder eine Familientour durch den Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest. Sie haben auch eine einfache Reise zu den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten von Robbinsville oder zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten von Bryson City wie der Great Smoky Mountains Railroad, Deep Creek und dem Nantahala Outdoor Center.

Die Straße zur Hütte ist für den steilen Teil gepflastert, dann leicht abfallenden Kies zum Parkplatz am Ende der Auffahrt. Es gibt genügend Parkplätze vor der Hütte. Ein Stellplatz der Garage steht den Gästen zur Verfügung.

Family Thanksgiving Vacation

Property was nice and beautiful surroundings. A little far from any holiday activities. Cleanliness of bathrooms and bedrooms was not great.

Great location for Tail of the Dragon!!

House was beautiful..location stunning! Driveway was a little crazy! We had a single motorcycle trailer that was a little challenging to get up the sharp turn driveway. Anything bigger then that would never make it up! The only downside was the house wasn't the cleanest and the propane grill was completely rusted and rotted out. We brought all food for the grill, and had to cook it all in the oven.

Nice Property

We rented this place specifically for its location in relation to Fontana Village and tail of the dragon. The property was nice, well maintained, had nice amenities as well. Only issue I would say is that we had to terminate quite a few Japanese beetles and roaches that were making their way inside the house. That’s a minor gripe in an overall excelled week long stay.

This was a beautiful home. It was high up in the mountains but it was a nice getaway from the city. It’s quiet and peaceful. Beautiful view and was wonderful for me and my family.

Okay, but not great

The listing online made the house out to be a gorgeous cabin. From the start, our experience was not great. The person who arrived first went to put groceries down on the stove and the burner was left on by whoever cleaned the house. She burnt her hand and we attempted to contact the owner to let them know, but they never responded to us. Once the rest of our party got there and once we started walking around, we noticed that the house did not seem to be cleaned before we got there at all. We found tons of dead bugs all over the corners of the floors and the window sills. One of our guests even noticed what looked like possible pubic hair on one of the bathroom toilets and this was prior to any of us using the bathrooms. The house was also extremely dusty and not just in high up spaces. We found instructions to use the fireplace, however, the fireplace didn’t work. The basement had a horrible mildew smell which caused us to not be able to even use it. When we did go down there the one time to attempt to play pool, the pool table was completely uneven and when you shot the ball into the hole, it would get stuck. The online advertisement states the home is professionally cleaned, but it did not represent that. The ad also stated the house slept 12 but it would have been a struggle to even get 10 in there. Understandably, there were no condiments for our use in the home, but it was never stated in the advertisement that we needed to provide basics such as salt and pepper. Overall, the home was beautiful and we had a good time, but highly suggest taking some of these complaints seriously as to not have false advertisement.

Great view, good location for hiking access

Very conveniently located and with great views. Lots of space to spread out and hang out, nice updated kitchen. Kitchen could be better stocked with simple basics (salt & pepper, etc). One of the guest bedrooms upstairs was really cold during the night. We stayed in December, so it was of course colder outside, but the heat just didn't seem to circulate well to that one bedroom. And there weren't really any extra blankets or sheets to make it warmer in the bed. But overall good spot.

Nice house, Not well cleaned

The house is spacious for a mountain cabin, beautiful view, private. Despite the late check-in time, the house was not adequately clean. There was gunk in the refrigerator and In some pots and a bit of an ant problem, also a wasp nest on the front porch. When we arrived, there was no water in the house. Maintenance came quickly and worked several hours fixing that and cleaning out the dirty hot tub. If you’re used to non-stick pans, bring your own. The cookware has been somewhat ill-used. Nevertheless, we enjoyed being there with our grandchildren. There was just a significant issue with cleanliness to be dealt with.

Great time with great freinds!

The house is beautiful... in fact, better than the online pics, as the kitchen has been renovated and some furniture updated since the pictures were taken. Accommodated our group of 10 with no trouble at all! Well-stocked kitchen! For our motorcycles, the driveway was a bit trickier than we expected but once we got the hang of it, we managed -- even in a car, watch the angle coming in (swing out and hang to the right as you enter). Many before you have scraped that left hand side! At the top of the intense slope, just keep going straight. You can't see over the edge, but trust us, it's there. Attempt it the first time in daylight if possible! :-) All in all, a great house!!

Perfectly located & Perfect House for 10 guests

The house was perfectly located .... 25 minutes from Bryson City with the Great Smoky Railway and shopping. 25 minutes from rafting Nantahala. The house accommodated our group of ten. With air hockey, pool down stairs to occupy the kids while the adults enjoyed the upstairs. Outside we enjoyed the hot tub, the porch swing and the fire pit.

Remote and quiet location but still easy to access!

We had a great stay for a last minute family gathering with 3 families and children. Perfect location for nantahala river rafting and hiking. The house was very well equipped and clean. We would definitely visit here again. The view from the fire pit is lovely!

Several problems

The company responsible for renting the cabin did a great job trying to compensate us for the problems we ran into during our stay. The space is amazing at the cabin, but when we got to the cabin we had no water due to someone leaving an outside spicket on. A few hours later we finally had water pressure back. Someone had taken the batteries out of the fireplace so we could not use the fireplace during our stay. The upstairs TV did not work, the hot tub did not work, and the gas firepit on the back deck did not work. Some of the balls were also missing from the pool table. I don’t feel the cabin was as clean as it should have been. I feel this falls back on the cabin owners though rather then the rental company as the rental company was in contact with us regarding our problems the entire time. If we would not have had all of these issues, the location and the views and the space of the cabin are unbeatable! We made the most of our time and ended up having a blast. We just feel things could have been much better.

Excellent summer vacation

The house was fantastic. Clean, and well stocked with necessaries for a weeks stay. Very quiet and private. Convenient to marina, and other area attractions. This was my 2nd visit. The driveway is a little tricky. Do not plan to pull a boat or motorcycle trailer up drive. Another fantastic stay in a beautiful area. Cant wait to come back

Great place to have a private reunion party here

It is on top of a hill with great view and privacy. Newly remodeled, great kitchen utilities and supplies. Clean and quite. Front yard has a fire pit with a surrounding bench which brought lots of fun. Lots of parking space on top of the hill.

Great Thanksgiving Weekend

This is a nice, big house. We had 11 in our group. The kitchen was beautiful and well equipped for cooking our Thanksgiving meal. I would suggest if you are cooking a lot that you bring some knives. The knife block knives were so dull! The only other suggestion is bring towels. The house was listed that it sleeps 12 but there were only 11 towels in the whole house and that was including the spa towels for the hot tub. Beautiful view. Great accomadations otherwise. Would surely go back.

Excellent house with beautiful surroundings !

The only negative thing was the ladybugs all over the master bedroom ceiling which was taken care of the following morning. Would love to stay at this house again!!

Amazing View and family vacation!

The view was the greatest ever!!! The house is very well maintained and supplied with all you need to cook and enjoy family! Our family really enjoyed the fire pit area and making s'mores!

Very nice place, beds need replace.

I spent an hour talking to Two (2) of your women from VRBO and they need a new jobs. Assigned me a case worker, B.S., she set me up with the owners and ten minutes it was done. VRBO was a hassle.

Worth Every Penny

I planned a reunion for myself and some old college friends to get together and drive the Tail of the Dragon. Not knowing the exact location was a bit of a gamble, but it paid off, it was located only a few miles from Fontana Village Resort making our trips to the dragon and surrounding areas quick and easy. The house had amazing amenities, very nice appliances, and we got some use out of the large propane grill on the back porch. We lived like kings for a weekend, driving and riding all day and winding down in the hot tub in the evening. Couldn't have picked a better place. I've already considered going back for a family vacation.
