The Mystic Seaport is a must-see while you are here! It is home to five National Historic Landmark vessels: Charles W. Morgan- the last whaling ship, Sabino Coal Steamer- last in regular operation in the U.S.; L.A. Dunton, Joseph Conrad, and the Emma C. Berry. During your stay
My husband and I live in Mystic, a 5-minute drive from the 1784 Denison Home. Even though you are set up for self-check-in, you may see one of us around watering plants, taking out trash bins, etc. But rest assured, we are harmless and will respect your space and privacy. If you seek answers, would like suggestions, or even meet us, we are here for you and delight in sharing this lovely little village with visitors! We are always available by phone or text, so please reach out if you need anything!
Other things to note
We also have guests who stay in our front red property, the 1784 Denison Home. Please park in front of the Carriage House property, and our other guests park behind the Denison Home.
The Sailor's Room is our four-legged sailor-friendly room, so you may see a dog while staying.
The Whaler's Welcome Room and the Rigger's Retreat Room are on the 1st level under an apartment, so you may hear footsteps above.

A once devoted full-time mother, I’ve now embarked on a fresh voyage – opening the doors of our storied properties to kindred spirits from near and distant shores.
Our shared passion is uncovering historic gems, whether preserving the essence of our own vacation homes or seeking solace in other historic havens during our travels.
Our hearts are firmly anchored in the past, and we enjoy bringing guests along with us when they stay at one of our Mystic homes.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft
My husband and I have always loved this property, which was once the Old Mystic Inn. Owning this beautiful it has been a dream come true! Some may wonder why we bought another home in our hometown. I guess it's a testament to how much we love the area!
Nestled in the heart of Old Mystic, the original settlement, our location is steeped in the quaintness and rich history that only this part of Mystic can offer. It's our cherished escape from the everyday hustle, providing a tranquil haven that whispers stories of the past.
Perfectly positioned, it allows effortless exploration of local attractions and offers a serene retreat from the lively buzz of downtown Mystic.
We fell in love with this neighborhood for its timeless charm and the sense of community that invites you to slow down and savor the moments. Our guests find it to be a perfect backdrop for making lasting memories, where the peaceful surroundings and scenic beauty enhance every experience.
Whether you're returning from a day of adventure or seeking a quiet corner to unwind and relax in your private guest room for the day, we believe you'll be quite happy~ even just hanging out reading, relaxing, or watching a movie. Old Mystic is a place where every moment becomes a treasure :-)

Das macht diese Unterkunft einzigartig
Step into the enchanting heart of New England hospitality, where each room holds tales anchored in the 1800s. Journey through stories of ship smiths, coopers, whispering woodcarvers, meticulous riggers, and the daring adventures of sailors and whalers.
Our Mystic private guest rooms artfully bridge time, weaving historical tales into present-day experiences so you can treat yourself to some old-fashioned hospitality reminiscent of a homemade apple pie’s comforting warmth and sweetness.
When my husband and I first walked into the Carriage House and saw the adorable private guest rooms, we felt instantly taken by its charm and character, and we think you will, too!
Time away is a rare gem, and our mission is to ensure your Mystic vacation is as perfect as it can be. Think nostalgic charm combined with modern amenities for 21st-century comfort and a splash of pure, homegrown hospitality to make your stay the most relaxing it can be.
