Willkommen im Honua Kai Resort & Spa, Mauis neuestem Luxus-Strandresort. Der in West Maui gelegene North Ka’anapali Beach wurde zu einem der 10 besten Strände der Welt gewählt. Dieser Komplex ist einfach unglaublich und umfasst 43 Hektar gepflegte tropische Landschaft. Das Honua Kai verfügt über Open-Air-Lobbys mit Meerblick, ein Fitnesscenter mit modernsten Geräten, einen Infinity-Pool mit Cabanas, Aqua-Liegen und Whirlpools, einen Lazy River, einen Kinderpool mit Sandboden, eine Grotte und eine Wasserrutsche mit Blick auf den hinteren Tropfen des Ozeans.

Viele Reisende haben kommentiert, dass die Innenhofsuiten zwar schön sind, aber einander zugewandte Lanais aufweisen, eng beieinander liegen und im Allgemeinen das Gefühl haben, dass die Privatsphäre etwas fehlt. Unsere Suite befindet sich im neueren Konea-Turm auf der ruhigen Seite mit Blick auf den Ozean und den ruhigen Honoapi'ilani-Park, der Privatsphäre und ruhigen Genuss bietet, während der teilweise Meerblick erhalten bleibt! Das Bild von der Veranda ist die tatsächliche Ansicht, es wird nicht mit einem Zoomobjektiv aufgenommen.

Das Ho'ola Spa ist jetzt in unserem Konea Tower geöffnet. Von Massagen und vielen Behandlungen bis zum Himalaya-Salz-Spa-Raum ist alles dabei. Im Konea Tower befindet sich auch das hochmoderne Fitnessstudio. Die Suite ist besonders groß und bietet eine Badewanne, eine separate Dusche und zwei Waschbecken im Bad. Es hat einen teilweisen Meerblick von der 140 sq. Ft. Lanai. Dies ist „schlüsselfertig“ mit einer Gourmetküche, in der alle Utensilien geliefert werden und die Bosch-Geräte aus rostfreiem Stahl und Arbeitsplatten aus Granit enthält. Das große Hauptschlafzimmer verfügt über ein Kingsize-Bett sowie einen HD-Fernseher, ein riesiges Bad mit separater Dusche und Badewanne sowie ein Waschbecken für Sie und Ihn. Das Wohnzimmer verfügt über eine Queen-Size-Ausziehcouch, einen Flachbild-HD-Fernseher mit Blu-Ray-Player und einen Essbereich.

Wir haben auch Roku-Geräte (ähnlich wie Apple TV) für Netflix für jeden Flachbildfernseher angeschlossen.

Very Nice Condo

The condo was spotless and stocked with some of the essentials like beach chairs, umbrella and boogie boards. Kitchen was also nicely appointed with dishes, glasses, mugs, coffee maker. Also a bonus to have a small supply of plastic wrap foil and spices. The owners were excellent communicators well. Highly recommend renting this unit.

We had a great week! Everything you need, pull out bed for the kids, big bathroom (separate tub and shower was helpful), kitchen, washer/dryer... plus extras. There were some sand toys for the kiddos, beach chairs, boogie boards, a cooler... seriously this place has you covered.

We could not ask for more! Well kept and stocked condo space! Honua Kai resort has beautiful grounds, great pools, an amazing restaurant and snorkeling right off the beach. The Maui resort was lovely, and the unit that we rented was clean and well stocked with items for 2 people. The property owners responded quickly to all questions, and provided thorough instructions on check-in, parking, using appliances and other items in the unit, and check-out. There was a nice set of items for the beach available for guest use.

Private & Clean!

My husband and I stayed here during the week of our wedding. We wanted to stay in a more adult-only resort since it was our honeymoon, but we had family come in for the wedding and decided on Honua Kai. But we must say that this suite exceeded our expectations! It was very quiet and private the entire week. We enjoyed the lanai, beach accessories (snorkel gear, chairs, cooler), and more. And it was SO clean! The freezer part of the fridge had broken and Jill was very quick to reach out and let me know that a replacement was on the way. She gave me many alternatives of where to store our food and made it easy. Highly recommend!

Review.

The view out of the patio was misleading. It’s mostly parking lot with very little view of the ocean. There was also construction right outside our patio all week which ruined the ambience and was very loud. Literally a Gerry lift with people painting our patio. The mattress also needs to be replaced, once your body warms up the bed the smell from the mattress was awful. Years and years of people’s body sweat coming out, it was super gross. Had the listing been honest about the view and the mattress be replaced we would stay there again. The owners were easy to work with and responded quickly when we had questions. We had no beach towels and they delivered them the next morning.

Hi Justina, Thanks for taking the time to write a review. As Premier Partners of VRBO, we take this very seriously, and in 12 years of owning this suite, we have maintained a 4.9 review score. In July when we were informed of the date for painting we significantly discounted our rates for Oct, Nov & Dec. (including your booking) with a disclaimer in VRBO. The unit you stayed in has just started the painting Dec 1st, due to be done Dec 12th. Konea 48 stack is the closest 1 bed to the ocean in the complex and it is a partial ocean view from the lanai, as per our pictures. The mattress is under one year old and has an airtight waterproof encasement. We wish you let us know right away and we would have been happy to take care of you. 100% of our linens were replaced Nov 1. Just to be sure we just put on a brand new mattress cover. NOT WORTH IT

The furniture was dated, worn down, the items we requested (high chair/booster seat for meals and pack and play) both old and flimsy - although the owner said if I texted early, could've had replaced (I didn't know that was an option), same w/the beach tent (broken). The fruit flies were everywhere, and THIS IS BEFORE WE EVEN BROUGHT ANY FOOD INTO THE PROPERTY... the fruit flies would fly around and stay near the toilet (inside the toilet) THEN, they'd find their way over to the kitchen while you are prepping food, or leave food out, YUCK!! also, after you book, the owners give a long, detailed list of do's and don'ts... I feel like it was my mom giving me a long lecture of endless advice and rules, and honestly the rules felt like I was going to be staying in a glass house, not a homey welcome for vacation. It got deep and detailed to the point of ..... "don't put this in the fridge, wait this amount of time, dont put boxes inside the condo, put it in the hallway, etc" I get the fact that there's bugs if in a tropical climate, but I saw bugs right away when we first entered. The dryer was miserable, not sure if we just did not understand how to figure out the setting, but it kept stopping, and did not dry our items at all, very poorly managed dryer - maybe that's why they said to just use the drying rack to hang your clothes, but no one wants to do that on vacation. ALSO CHECKING IN - not easy, there's barely anyone working in the front. and the instructions of check in (went into detail of bracelets, etc, but NO CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS ON THE PARKING SITUATION, YOU HAVE TO PARK IN THE FRONT, GET THE PARKING PASS FROM THE PERSON THERE, THEN THEY'LL TELL YOU WHERE TO GO, ETC... TO OUR OWNERS.. that should've been clear in the instructions, instead the instructions jumped from place to place, i was more given the impression of making sure i kept costco boxes in hallway than knowing where to park.... draw us a picture in your instructions of parking, where to check in, and then how to find the room, esp if we have alot of luggage, and hauling it to our rooms. The ocean - partial view is somewhat true if you put your head over the balcony and peer out, maybe see it through the trees? There were some PRO's : location is great, near the pool area, the property is well maintained, the balcony was nice for breakfast, birds coming in and joining you, very tropical feels. kitchen well stocked with basic amenities of what you need. bed was comfortable.

Arrival instructions followed by an overview and reminder email 2 days prior to arrival followed by the day after arrival email to make sure that there are no outstanding issues. We are sorry that you found an overview of our suite and the Honua Kai protocols upsetting. We explain the parking and the check in procedure including the new suite lock codes as well as many other features of Honua Kai. We can only help you if we know if there is an issue. In responding to our "day after arrival email" where we ask you for feedback, you mentioned none of these issues but rather asked "what time was check out. We are part of the hotel maintenance program and things like appliances can and are serviced the same day if we are informed which is why we ask guest immediately to let us know of outstanding issues. As for the pack-n-play crib, this is the first we have heard of a concern but we have ordered both a new crib as well as a booster hi chair. We have never had a fruit fly incident before but again, we would have sent the Service department immediately to attend had we known. Great stay

Loved it!

This was an all around great experience. Beautiful condo and great communication with owners. Arrival to the property was smooth. The condo is in a great location if you’re looking for something peaceful and quiet. The condo is well stocked with items you need if cooking in plus condiments in the fridge. They have boogie boards, umbrellas, and a small cooler for taking to the beach. The lanai has a partial view of the ocean and faces away from the other tower so you can sit out there and enjoy the sounds/views of paradise without all the hustle and bustle of the inner parts of the condos! Quick walk to the pools, the ocean or to Duke’s (which has amazing food). Would definitely recommend to others and would stay here again in the future!

Honua Kai

The condo was beautiful,clean and well stocked with all of the comforts you would find at home. The owners were very communicative and provided detailed information about their home both via email and on-site notebook.. The resort is amazing, the pools are great and have poolside service from Dukes. We had coffee on the beach every morning, we even got a rare sighting of a seal that made our beach his napping place of choice for a day. We had an amazing dinner at Dukes which is conveniently located on the property. This resort was a bucket list item for us and it didnt disappoint, we will be back someday for sure.

We purchased # 244 Konea in 2011 ( VRBO 375968) and were so happy with it that we decided to purchase a second one.

We love gourmet cooking and we find that having a fully stocked kitchen with everything from the salad spinner to the martini shaker was ideal for us. When we land at OGG we grab the rental car and then drive 1 block to Costco and load up. In the afternoon we will relax by the pool and then usually hit Duke's for Happy Hour to have a cocktail and an appie and listen to a little live Hawaiian music. We follow that up with some time on our lanai before either firing up the stove or heading to the bar-be-cue areas that feature many Viking Grills.If dining out is the plan we take a stroll down the boardwalk to one of many restaurants along the way or head into Lahaina. The boardwalk that separates the Honua Kai from the beach also comes in handy in the morning. We like to grab a coffee at Aina Market and take a leisurely stroll towards Black Rock and Whaler's Village. For those that love to run or jog the boardwalk is a scenic treat.
