We had the most wonderful weekend at Camp McGu! The home was clean, beautifully decorated, and perfect for our multigenerational family trip with plenty of quiet spots to rest and relax or play and be active. The dock and watercraft were a favorite! Hope to make it back again soon!

Beautiful cabin in a great location. The property was very clean and well taken care of. Great attention to detail - well stocked, nice linens, comfortable beds and furnishings, and outside spaces are awesome. We had a delightful stay! (2 couples and 2 young children). Elizabeth was very responsive and great to work with.Clifftops has a lot to offer. Lots of walking trails, a lake club with swim beach and canoes, pool, tennis, pickle ball, playground — and this property in particular is extra special as it is directly on the lake with its own dock. The lots are very large so it feels private. We hope to return!

This location is amazing!! For an alumni weekend a group of us had a total of three houses rented and without a question this one was where we opted to gather. Everything about the outdoors was fantastic. As was the interior, both clean and well appointed. I can not recommend this rental more highly!

If you are looking for a beautiful place to make wonderful memories, this is it! It is immaculately clean (thank you, April), fully appointed with top of the line appliances and linens, and complete with indoor and outdoor amenities for both children and adults. Elizabeth, your host, is super nice and quickly responds to inquiries, and she has decorated this home with the most beautiful original artwork. The furniture is both lovely and comfortable. It even had a heated dual-control mattress cover (for those of us who like it to be a little warmer at night than other family members).This is our second stay here, and we LOVE this property. We have been here in summer and fall, and it was just breath-takingly beautiful with such fun things to do in both seasons. It is my personal favorite rental property by far! When I open the door, I feel so at home. Thank you, Elizabeth, for sharing such a wonderful place.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful and truly felt like a relaxing vacation. The home was very clean and had comfortable bedrooms and beautiful furnishings. It was fully equipped with all the essentials, plus the gear for several outdoor activities. We loved kayaking on the pond, reading in the hammock, grilling for dinner, and spending hours on the gorgeous porch. Additionally, the host was highly communicative and helpful whenever questions arose. I strongly recommend this property to anyone looking to rent in the area!

Beautiful home. We really enjoyed our time on the dock and being able to paddle around the lake. We were there for our son's graduation from Sewanee. Very convenient to campus and comfortable enough for 2 families to share. The home is beautiful and Elizabeth was very accommodating and flexible. Would highly recommend and we definitely plan on staying here again.

So serene and private! The lakefront property is incredible with lots to do and the house is comfortable and beautifully decorated with more than you need for a comfortable stay. Already booked a return trip the day we got home!!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The setting was so beautiful and relaxing. We had our coffee on the dock each morning, then took the kayaks out. We also enjoyed the community pool and tennis courts. The location is perfect. The house is very clean and comfortable. We hope to be back many times in the future.

Nice Family Retreat

We wanted to stay somewhere within a few hours of home where we could escape, spend time together as a family, near water and be able to take our dog. This house and property fit every need. Very clean and accommodating. We found plenty of ways to reconnect, relax and find some nearby adventures.

Beautiful home on the lake with all the amenities you can imagine! The kitchen is top notch…invites collaborative cooking! A perfect spot to take a breath, leave the world behind and enjoy such careful attendance to every need! Enjoyed dinner at High Pointe as well!

Magical stay!

Our family had the best time at this house! It is so well done, clean, and well stocked. They have awesome activities for all ages! We kayaked everyday, rode bikes, hiked, sat by the outdoor fireplace and loved every minute. We will be back!

Perfect Getaway

We had an amazing stay! The property was clean, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described. The beds were comfortable, and we had everything we needed to cook in the well-equipped kitchen. The location was unbeatable, just steps from the lake and all the outdoor amenities you could ask for. I highly recommend this home for families or couples looking for a peaceful getaway. The home is beautiful with large porches, indoor and outdoor fireplaces and furnishings- comfortable mattresses and linens -dock on the lake and beautiful wooded yard and views- the owners we’re fantastic and thoughtful - they did everything possible to make the stay special for us including check in times to accommodate our schedule- the home layout is perfect for families or a couple - lovely home and experience and highly recommended

Great Experience

We visited Sewanee with my twin boys and one of their friends. Our place was perfect. Our host was gracious and very pleasant. There are bass in the lake and plenty of wood for the fireplace. We would love to stay again.

We loved everything about Camp McGu!! Everything was immaculate and in perfect condition. The surroundings are gorgeous and the dock and water area so enjoyable. The cabin is very well appointed! It is updated and impeccable but still has a rustic charm. We definitely hope to return!
