Suchen Sie ein einzigartiges Erlebnis? Wenn ja, haben Sie es in der Linekin Bay Chapel gefunden. Die Kapelle wurde in ein Haus mit 2 Schlafzimmern umgewandelt und verfügt über die originalen Buntglasfenster und den Glockenturm. Es verfügt über ein großes offenes Wohnzimmer mit originalen Holzböden und einen Wintergarten.

Entspannen Sie auf dem Achterdeck bei einem Drink und einem Barbecue oder unternehmen Sie eine Wanderung im angrenzenden Linekin Preserve, das über 30 Hektar Wanderwege mit malerischer Meeresfront bietet. Auch zum Wandern bietet der Boothbay Region Land Trust (BRLT) über 30 Meilen Küsten- und Waldwege, die das ganze Jahr über geöffnet und für die Öffentlichkeit kostenlos sind. Ein kurzer Spaziergang führt Sie zum kühnen offenen Meer auf dem King Phillips Trail, wo es spektakuläre Sonnenaufgänge gibt. In weniger als 5 Minuten Fahrt erreichen Sie Ocean Point, wo Sie einen atemberaubenden Sonnenuntergang beobachten können (Kamera nicht vergessen).

Die Innenstadt von Boothbay Harbor liegt 6 km entfernt und bietet zahlreiche Geschäfte, Galerien, Restaurants und ein großartiges Nachtleben. Hier werden Kreuzfahrten auf dem Meer für Hummer- / Muschelaufläufe sowie Ausflüge zur Beobachtung von Walen und Robben angeboten. Der Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens (der größte in Neuengland) ist weniger als 10 Minuten von der Kapelle entfernt und bietet über 250 Morgen Ufer- und Waldwege. Es umfasst auch sensorische Gärten, beeindruckende Wasserfälle, Mauerwerk und ein tolles Café.

Die Kapelle verfügt über eine große Rundumterrasse mit Gartenmöbeln und einem Gasgrill. Es gibt auch eine große Sonnenterrasse, die ein großartiger Ort für den Morgenkaffee ist. Es verfügt über eine gut ausgestattete Küche mit einigen der originalen Holzschränke. Wir haben jetzt einen Geschirrspüler für Ihre Bequemlichkeit hinzugefügt. Wir haben jetzt auch eine Klimaanlage sowie eine Waschmaschine und einen Trockner, die kürzlich renoviert wurden.

Nutzen Sie unsere kostenlosen Fahrräder, um die Gegend zu erkunden oder mieten Sie einen Roller in der Stadt. Es gibt auch eine öffentliche Bootsrampe in der Nähe. Es gibt auch einen nahegelegenen See, Sie können also gerne unser Kanu und unsere Schwimmwesten benutzen.

Die Kapelle, auch bekannt als "Pink and Purple Church", wurde 1911 erbaut und war eine methodistische Sommerkapelle. Es wurde später in eine private Residenz und eine Kunstgalerie umgewandelt und ist bekannt für das skurrile Farbschema.

This is such a beautiful place to stay and the Boothbay area is truly lovely. The pink and purple church is a special place to make such wonderful memories. We enjoyed every minute and have visited the last several years. It’s our most favorite place to stay!

Vacation stay!

The chapel was absolutely perfect for our family (kids ages 3-5). It was very clean, tons of room, fully stocked and a great location. A unique stay for the kids and the hosts were very responsive and friendly. 10/10 recommend.

Another Perfect Stay!

We stayed at the Linekin Chapel in the fall of 2022. We couldn’t wait to come back! This time we stayed for two glorious weeks and the experience was just as perfect as the last time. The chapel is beautiful and so well maintained. It’s a perfect size for us and our two adult daughters. Centrally located, with so much to do in the area. We had deer that appeared several evenings too. Everything we could have needed was provided, such as towels, extra bedsheets, a big kitchen, washer/dryer, lots of games too! Just go up the road to Hannaford to supply the kitchen with everything you need to make homemade meals. We can’t wait to return!

The Perfect Place!

If you have the chance to book this property, do it! So beautiful-the owners have put a lot of work and thought into the details. The house is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. A fully equipped kitchen allowed us to make many meals in-house. The property is perfectly situated between Boston and Acadia and made a perfect landing spot for our many adventures in and around the area. Maine is an absolutely gorgeous state and this charming rental helped this vacation land at the top of our list as an all time favorite trip. Great communication from our hosts. Comfortable, clean and did I mention absolutely beautiful? What could be better than waking up to the sun coming in through stained glass windows?If our travels ever take us back to Maine, we would absolutely book here again. Ten stars!

Fantastic Stay

The chaple was FANTASTIC!!! Very clean and well set up for families to be there. It was in a great local. We were able to go to the coast each night to look for sea glass and watch the sunset. We will definately return for another vacation.

Fabulous stay in a beautiful part of Maine!

The little pink and purple chapel in East Boothbay made for an exceptional vacation! It is comfortable, very clean, and the hosts have thought of everything their guests might possibly need. The porch wonderful for morning coffee or dinner alfresco. The location is very convenient for beaches, boat rides, and anything else you might possibly want to do. Highly recommended!

Staying at the Purple Chapel

This is a very comfortable, quirky, beautiful, very well stocked home. We loved the way the sunlight breaks through the stained glass windows and its mellowness. Ocean Point near fails to please and staying at the Chapel was a wonderful (wonder filled?!) bonus.

Perfect Getaway

The Chapel was a wonderful and very unique experience. With just the right blend of modern comfort but keeping the historic touches. The original stained glass windows are amazing when lit up by the morning sun. Great location that was private but close enough to enjoy all the things Boothbay Harbor has to offer.Very comfortable beds and quality linens. Amazing Getaway to Make Cherished Memories

We love the pink and purple church! It’s an amazing place to stay and enjoy as you’re home away from home. The littlest details are all taken care of for you and you will immediately feel how special this place is. Kristin and Jason are wonderful hosts and will make you feel so welcome! It’s comfortable, very well stocked, beautiful and a great place to stay in one of the prettiest communities in Maine. We have made such special memories at this location. It’s so spacious, beautifully decorated and has all the comforts you could want. Book it! You won’t be disappointed! We look forward to returning to this amazing getaway each year!

Great property - would rent again

Our family stayed here for a week in August. The charming chapel is very clean and comfortable. There is a lot of seating, a well stocked kitchen and many games for our 6 and 8 year old children. Jason and Kristin are very helpful - they sent us a packet of information on the area prior to arrival, which was great for doing some advance planning. They also made an effort with wonderful extras like fresh flowers, snack mix and a lovely fresh fruit and cheese platter - what a nice treat after a long drive to Maine! Boothbay has many activities from which to choose including the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, the Railway Village, kayaking, biking and hiking. We had some delicious meals as well - we loved the lobster rolls at the Lobster Dock, sandwiches at the General Store and ice cream at the Downeast Ice Cream Factory. We would gladly return to the area and to the chapel for another summer vacation.

The property is not only beautiful but equipped with everything you could possibly need to ensure a wonderful experience. The hosts are exceptionally generous, accessible, and accommodating. Love The Pink and Purple Chapel!

We stayed at the chapel for our twentieth anniversary. Of all the places we’ve stayed in Maine, the Pink and Purple chapel is our favorite! The attention to detail is beyond anything we expected. All you need to do is bringing clothing, a few toiletries, buy food and you are set! The kitchen is more than well stocked with everything we needed. The washer and dryer came in handy, as did the dishwasher. The bathroom sparkled, and the living and dining areas are huge. The entire home is spotless. There is plenty of parking and the chapel’s location is perfect. It’s a nice drive to Boothbay Harbor, Damariscotta, Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, Bath and Brunswick if you want to explore. The chapel is so beautiful. The stained glass is everywhere, so prepare to take a lot of pictures. We spent a lot of the day out exploring Maine and when we returned it felt like coming home. Kristin and Jason were so welcoming. They kept us updated before we arrived, and left a nice card for us, a lovely (huge) fruit and cheese tray, and other lovely additions to help us celebrate our anniversary. We were so sad to leave! Jason is a Culinary Arts graduate from Johnson & Wales University; Kristin is a Family Nurse Practitioner. We want our guests to have a memorable vacation and enjoy the area as much as we do!
