My husband and I stayed at the White Cottage for a few days October, 2026. The cottage is immaculate, well stocked, and thoughtfully appointed/designed. Honestly I have to say it was perfect. The access to the beach across the street was quick and easy, and we made use of it many times during our stay. The fact that house has a beach pass for some of the other beaches on Montauk is an added bonus. We took a trip to Gin beach for part of one day and had a really good time. Jeanne was easy to contact and quick to reply when we had a question; you can tell she cares about her renters as well as takes pride in providing a beautiful place for people to come and visit Montauk. We will be back

If you’re looking for a place to stay in Montauk your search has ended. This is a gorgeous house with a wonderful view and great location. It has a very well stocked and spacious kitchen and very comfortable bedrooms. The location is prime you can walk to beach or into town. You will not regret booking this gem.

Fabulous kitchen with really well thought out items in stock. So close to beach and walk to town was easy. Jeanne was very prompt in replying to each question we had. We were blessed with great weather, too.

Great spot for our family of 4!

We had a fantastic stay at this oceanview cottage! Everything was as promised in the listing. The house was impeccably clean and our host Jeanne was super responsive and had everything ready for us. The house is right across from the beach - you can't ask for a better location. A great trip looking forward to doing it again!

Perfect Property

There is no other place I would want to stay at in Montauk. Jeanne is the best host and has the most wonderful cottages. I love vintage and this is a true slice of old Montauk. Beautiful views, perfect location, amazing beach access and the wonderful old world feel of the cottage is truly the icing on the cake!

Delightful beach cottage

Spent a relaxing long weekend at the cottage. Well done renovation that blends the vintage charm with modern kitchen and bath. We cooked most meals in well equipped kitchen. Ideal for small family or friends who don’t mind sharing a bathroom. Location right on Old Montauk Highway so took multiple beach walks. If there for longer, might rent bikes to ease getting into town as parking gets nuts.

Property surpassed all of our expectations, and then some.

Location, location, location..that was the best quality of the house.

Not much effort was put into making the house charming. Two lights in one of the bedrooms did not work. But the location of the house was key..right across the street from a lovely stretch of beach which we enjoyed very much.

Sharon I am so sorry the lamps were not operating and both of them! Maybe the prior guest had unplugged them for use of the plugs for their own personal devices at the nightstands. Wish you has told me during your stay, I would have plugged them back in. I am so sorry that happened and will make sure the cleaners know to check this in the future. Yes this is a very charming 1940s ocean view 2 bedroom/1bath cottage that has gotten so many great reviews and has made so many families very comfortable for their Montauk visit. Jeanne

Week at the beach

House is cute and comfy with everything we needed to escape the city for a week with a couple of friends. The house is walking distance to town and close to all the main restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

SoloTime for me

Every so often I need "get away time just for me." -No husband to cook for, or cater to his choice of activity.. This was MY TIME -just me & ME. I wrote in my journal, meandered on the beach, listened to the surf at night-had Never seen Soo many stars in the darkdark sky! A quiet comfy cottage, well cared for: My host communicated w/ me, as check in approached. It was Perfect!
