Everything about our stay was excellent. We were able to get into the property early before check in and the unit was very clean. We had everything we needed provided for us in the unit and we did not have to ask the host for anything. Pool areas were great along with easy access to the beach. The beach had calm waters and was perfect for us. Only downside was the lazy river was closed for cleaning for the week. Highly recommended for young families if you are considering it. Will book with this host again in the future. Thank you!

I would not recommend booking with Christian. We reserved his Marriott Aruba Surf Club unit largely because the listing advertised the resort’s pools and lazy river—important amenities for our family vacation with a 17-month-old child. We later discovered that the main pool and lazy river would be closed for major construction during our entire stay, but this was not disclosed in Christian’s VRBO listing when we booked.When we contacted Christian, he pointed to information on Marriott’s website, even though his listing never directed us there or warned us about the closures. Despite the missing disclosure and the significant effect on our vacation, he refused to provide any refund. We had to book another resort at considerable additional expense and pursue the matter through VRBO and our credit-card company.Major construction and the closure of prominently advertised amenities should be clearly disclosed before a guest pays. Christian’s refusal to take responsibility made an already stressful situation much worse. Future guests should carefully verify every resort amenity and construction schedule independently before booking with this host.

Resort was beautiful! We had a problem with securing all the nights on our original reservation, but was able to secure 6 of the 7 nights. Housekeeping was supposed to come midweek, but they did not. Overall - a really good trip!

The location was fabulous! We couldn't have asked for a better room. We were in the lighthouse part of the Surf Club with an ocean view. The room was exceptionally clean and stocked with basic amenities. The room we had was quiet meaning you didn't hear other people next door or across the hall or above us. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this Resort! And finding a rental on VRBO was a great value!The only negative thing I would say about our reservation is when we checked in, our reservation had three different reservation numbers ,we weren't quite sure what that meant then we found out we would have had to move three different times. I said that was unacceptable and Liza at the front desk with the help of a manager got us to stay in the one room during the entire stay. There were also some Resort taxes that I wasn't aware of I believe that they were Government taxes that wasn't included with the VRBO price. Not a lot about an additional 14 a day. I did reach out to the host to inquire about this because I thought that I'd already paid the taxes. And it was confirmed that there are additional Resort taxes on top of the VRBO fee. But in general I highly recommend it! Christian my host was quick to respond, I have rented from him before and was just as quick then to respond.
