This is a beautiful property and house. The salt water pool is great. The five bedrooms are all spacious. Communication with Susan is easy and she's quick to reply. I hope to make it back again soon!

We had a great stay at vineyard, plenty of room for our group of ten. Pool was great although the weather was not favorable. Still got in and had great time. Loved shortcut to winery. Would love to come back on sunny week to enjoy all of this beautiful property.

We loved our stay in Afton. The house fit 10 of us easily, and the kitchen was large and well equipped for preparing family meals. There was a nice large dining room as well. The pool was lovely, and the views were unparalleled. Susan was an excellent host and very responsive to our needs. It was great to be able to have our dog at the house as well. We hope to stay again some time!

Another wonderful stay!

This was our second time at the farmhouse and it was another relaxing, wonderful stay. Spent every day at the pool and watched incredible sunsets very the vineyard from the Adirondack chairs in the evening. Our dog even got to enjoy some play dates with farm dogs. We hope to come back next summer!

Beautiful home for a family weekend.

Our extended family gathered at the farmhouse to meet our newest member. The house is perfect for a gathering. The kitchen is well appointed and easy to work in (we do a lot of cooking). It’s spacious enough to eat inside but the weather was beautiful and the view can’t be beat. The bedrooms are comfortable and spacious (plenty of room for a pack-n-play). We have stayed her before and will definitely return.

WONDERFUL bachelorette getaway!

My friends and I had the BEST weekend staying at this lovely farmhouse. I couldn't have asked for a better bachelorette celebration! The pool is wonderful, and the view is just spectacular. I highly recommend renting a bus/van to explore all the wineries nearby! And, of course, don't forget to stop by Cardinal Point for some excellent wine. Can't wait to go back! :)

Views are incredible & ideal for large gatherings

Best things about this house hands down were the views. There were multiple areas to sit & enjoy the Mountain View (pool, front porch, side Adirondack chairs). House was big and had more than enough supplies for my party! Very conveniently located for those who enjoy winery hopping. Only thing that we noticed was some of the bedrooms smelled like urine, and as a result, some of my group members chose to share rooms with others in non-smelly rooms; we had planned to each take a bedroom but that wasn’t the case. Overall we all had a great time at this house & it was perfect for our weekend festivities.

Can’t wait to return!

My husband and I and our two dogs had an amazing quick trip to the farmhouse and loved it so much we plan to make an annual trip. The pool was incredible and we used it every day. The views with the vineyard are beyond amazing. I couldn’t get over how gorgeous it was. I am a sucker for a farmhouse and fell in love with this house and the property. Tenny, the farm dog, came over and our dogs enjoyed playing with him. My only regret is we couldn’t stay longer. We also enjoyed wine and live music at their winery which was so much fun.we can’t wait to go back.

Wonderful Weekend

My family and I loved our time staying at the Farm House. It's a beautiful property, especially sitting in the backyard at sunset. The house was built in the late 19th century, but it so cozy and comfortable. The heating, air, plumbing, etc all worked great. One side note, there are only small travel size shampoo/conditioner/soaps, so be sure to bring your own if needed. Easy driving distances to many wineries and restaurants in Charlottesville. This is a great option for anyone looking for a weekend getaway in the country with close access to nearby towns and amenities. Would love to come back again!

Such a Gorgeous View

The house was perfect for our group of 4 couples. It had everything we needed, and the location at Cardinal Point Winery is amazing. I expected the view to be good, but it was much better than advertised. You really feel like you are away from it all, even though there is a full winery, and the rest of Route 151 very close. We will be staying again next year.

Spring and Fall

We gather with friends every spring and fall at the farmhouse and we always have a wonderful time. The house fits our group perfectly and we love coming back each time. We always get a happy visit from Tenny the dog and Susan takes wonderful care of us. The sunset view is spectacular!

Cute and cozy

This is definitely an older house but suited our needs just fine. It's such a cute and cozy place with plenty of parking when you have several couples meeting up. It's also a great location for exploring the mountain, breweries and wineries in the areas. The owner is very responsive and very nice!

Beautiful, restful spot.

We stayed in this beautiful, old farmhouse for my son’s graduation from UVA. My only criteria was a place with 2 main floor beds and baths for my parents and mother in law. It’s got a lot of charm, any possible kitchen gadget you could want for, tons of nooks and crannies for privacy (note: if you are looking for an open floor plan, this is not your place). The grounds are beautiful with vineyards and the mountains in the distance. We were a bit off season for the pool, but it was well maintained. Rustic, charming, quirky. Great place to congregate with family.

Wonderful Weekend Getaway

There is something so special about staying at the Farmhouse! You cannot beat the views and charm of staying in this house. My big family and I had such a wonderful time here. We cooked several great meals in the fully stocked kitchen and enjoyed being able to walk to Cardinal Point. I cannot wait to come back in the future!

Lovely even in the raIn

Hurricane Ian tried to ruin our Fall visit with rain but we still had a blast just hanging around the house and playing games. On the last might, we were treated to a beautiful, dramatic sunset to the west of the house and a full rainbow to the east. Views from the house are so wonderful and everything you need for a nice visit is in the house.
