The apartment was in a great location and allowed us to ditch the car for the weekend. The first floor includes a restaurant as well as a small grocery store and sandwich shop. Everything was clean and well taken care of. The apartment had great views of the city as well.
We did have an issue with the heating in our apartment though. We arrived late on Friday evening and set the thermostat to 73 degrees but it never got warmer than 66 degrees even after set the thermostat much higher. On Saturday we brought this to the attention of the person downstairs who we initially checked-in with when we arrived. He verified the settings were correct but stated it could take some additional time to heat the apartment. By Sunday morning the temp continue to be in the 66-67 range but at that point it wasn't worth pursuing since we were checking out by 11am.
The 2 bedroom unit was spacious and GORGEOUS!! It's a corner unit, so lots of windows and light! The first floor of this this building has shops, restaurants and a coffee bar. The mezzanine level has game tables, shuffleboard a pool table and a gym. And being close to most anything you'd want in Seattle, there is no shortage of fun and entertaining experiences. I would highly recommend staying here. The only thing I would note is to be aware that this price does not include fees, taxes, cleaning costs or the $20 per night to park your car (initially I thought it would be a better deal, but the final bill was higher than I'd imagined, but still worth it!).
This location was great, right in the middle of everything, and yet not loud at all. The community space was beautiful, although we didn't have time to really enjoy it. The apt. Is clean and bright, and the beds were very comfy. Kitchen was well stocked. I do wonder if there's some way for the building to have a pantry, of sorts. We had to buy all ingredients to cook, and then throw all that away upon leaving. So wasteful.
The via 6 building is what is referred to as vertical living. Our secure apartment was on the 4th floor but so many amenities were available on the ground floor. A coffee shop, restaurants, bar, bike shop, beautiful lobby and comfortable surroundings in a perfect location were all right there. I could live there! The apartment was clean, quiet and met all our needs. LOCATION is perfect right in downtown, plus it's in a very safe location right across the street from Amazon. Many of the residents have dogs which is also fun to see. There are amazing restaurants, shops and entertainment right outside your door. The only time we used our rental car was to go outside Seattle. LOVE this place!
Enjoyed our time. We didn't spend a lot of time at Via6 apartment. Our stay was middle of December for a week. The apartment is cozy. Has a huge balcony and sitting space. Might not mean much unless you look around and see how small other balconies are. The home stayed warm from the 25f nights. We paid to park in garage. Was worth it for us. Didn't want to walk in rain, wind and cold. You park somewhere else. You might save $5 a day and its not guaranteed you'll find anything close by. Also, don't rent a big ol boat (suv) to drive into the garage. The stalls are tight and you'll probably be parking on the bottom floor of garage. Not even sure it'll fit down there either. Your two blocks from Westlake center and everything you want to shop for. Four blocks from pike place and waterfront. It was nice to be able to shop and bring items back to apartment to drop off and go back out. Your about 1/2 mile from space needle. Pretty much within walking distance of everything. Including the ballpark and pioneer square if your up for the walk. One mile probably. They have restaurants downstairs in lobby along with a coffee shop and convenience items. Your given key fobs for entry for elevators and for non lobby street entrance and building locks down late at night. Those are bonuses for me. I like security. Picked up/returned keys at front desk. Very easy. Overall I would recommend due to area located and cleanliness of apartment and newer furnishings. No need to spend a lot $$$ for a waterfront view. You can walk there and pay 1/2 of what they want closer to water. Renting, checking in/out, clean apartment, easily accessible in/out, tight security, parking garage. Pretty much hit all my criteria. I hope this helps with your decision. Most reviews just give open ended blanketed statements. You end up wondering if it's worth it. It is!
Spent the weekend in Seattle in late November and stayed at the Via6 through Stay Alfred. The apartment was a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, was very clean and well kept. The apartment came with regular cable and free wifi. Location was great, right in the middle of Belltown, walking distance from Pike Place Market, and many restaurants/bars in the neighborhood. You are also walking distance to the Space Needle and EMP Museum.
Overall the Via6 apartments are a great place to stay for your trip to Seattle, and Stay Alfred made it extremely easy as well.
