We had a wonderful stay. We got very lucky with the weather! There were two adults and one 13 year-old girl. There was the bedroom upstairs which the adults stayed in. Not a ton of privacy as there is a hanging barn type door that didn’t really close. But is was lovely and bright. The downstairs bedroom is where my daughter stayed. She enjoyed it. We were perfectly close enough to the beach.. I would say a 1 to 2 minute walk. Great stay!

Check in was super easy and quick! Its a perfect location for the beach and a really nice house with plenty of blankets and room for a little house. The game room was super cool and my oldest daughter had alot of fun up there.

This was a great location for our young family! Lunch and nap time was easy as the short walk to and from the beach was so short. Our area of the beach was less crowded as well.

Nice cute cottage. Has two sofa beds. We were able to sleep 4 adults and 2 children very comfortably. The sofa beds are also comfy. They provide plenty of clean towels. The location is great (quick stroll to the beach) although the water on the Atlantic side was cold even in July. For older folks and small kids its important to note you do have to climb a large sand dune. The driveway did get flooded for a few hours with heavy rain so having a SUV or truck would be a good idea. The railings on the second floor are very flimsy. Some are screwed in but most of them have small staples in them. Please BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL if you have young children because they can come off easily and it becomes a fall hazard. The host was very responsive Overall was a good experience.

Conveniently Located

The beach is only a few minutes walk over the dunes, which was fantastic. It is located near town so there is plenty to do. The house has a bunch of board games and a shuffleboard table upstairs. We wouldn't mind staying here again.

Very cute cottage

We had a delightful stay. Although the house is on the smaller side, it is exactly as advertised and had all we needed to enjoy the trip. Beach access is so close! We thoroughly enjoyed the games in the loft when it rained. Overall, we had a great trip!

Very nice get away with our daughter and her baby . The weather was a little rough first night but cheated up after , host reassured us everything would be ok and was normal weather for fall ..answered my every concern and questions .. We loved our stay at the Gray Sandcastle! There was a plumbing issue in one of the bathrooms, but the property manager was very communicative & helped to resolve this issue. Very clean, close walk to the beach, & perfect location! Would definitely stay here again.

The house was well stocked with necessities-toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, bath towels, bed linens… and anything you would need in the kitchen. My kids loved the Rec games in the loft. The pull out sofa was comfy for my daughter. The outside shower and hose were great to wash off from the beach. The beach was very accessible. We had a great time and would stay again! Thank you!

The house was cute, a bit smaller than expected but clean and nice and worked out great. The location is great, easy access to beach and close to a bunch of restaurants and shopping options. Two drawbacks: beds are very hard and make for a tough night sleep, and kitchen is extremely small so plan accordingly if you want to cook.

Thank you for vacationing with us. Our Cottage is small with 2 bedrooms and designed for small groups. You can't get much closer to the beach without being oceanfront so we love our location . We hope you will vacation with us again soon! Thank you for the feedback on the beds. We know that all guests have specific preferences for firmness of beds but we do appreciate the feedback.
