Enjoy the hot tub as you take in breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains with the New River winding through the valley in both directions. An active rail line chugs along the river on the hill below the cabin- train whistles and sounds are common and provide added rustic charm. A short walk down the driveway provides access to the public river beaches for swimming, tubing, fishing, floating the rapids, and kayaking.

Amazing location, with walking access to the river. The house is close enough to campus that you can easily get an uber to a game. This place was pet-friendly and had the cutest kitchen. All around great experience.

Host gave great direction to find the house and had a beautiful house in a very picturesque location. The pictures dont do the view from the house justice. We enjoyed the hottub after a long day of driving and hiking. The Adirondack chairs on the side of the hill were perfect to sit and watch the sunset. Bed in the master was very comfortable and the house was well appointed with all you need for a stay. I would definitely recommend a stay if you are ever in the area!

We had such a fantastic time! Communication with the host was easy and quick, everything that was advertised was there, and a well stocked kitchen which made cooking, eating, and cleaning a breeze. The deck overlooking the river, mountains, and train track was a great way to end the day. It is completely enclosed, so we had piece of mind with the pup and toddler out with us. Great weekend getaway

This was a great place to stay. Great view of the river on the great deck. The house was perfect for the family. I would definitely like to rent for another time. We will be coming down in the fall to go to Va Tech football games and will try to rent again.

Beautiful Property

This was a fantastic place to stay while we visited Virginia Tech with my teen daughter. The best part about it was the view of the river (we enjoyed the hot tub!), and our puppy enjoyed taking walks along the river. The house was just as described, very comfortable, and had everything we needed, included for our dog. Thanks for a wonderful trip!

Cozy cabin is cozy!

Property location was nice and peaceful. Fully stocked kitchen and wonderful deck to relax on. Only draw back was 1 shower and it was tight. We enjoyed our stay.

Hi Jennifer, thanks for the review. We agree the shower is tight and that bathroom will be getting fully renovated (with a much larger shower 🤪) this winter so check back in if you’re ever visiting the area again. There’s also an outdoor shower under the deck with gorgeous mountain views! Lindsey

We had a great stay!The view of the river is stunning from both the deck and the living area; the hot tub was super fun for both kids and adults. The trains traveling along the riverside among the early fall colors were a boon.This host thought of everything, including some toys and games and all the paper supplies, etc., one could want.Our arrival felt warmly welcoming with all the information we could have wanted tucked into a tidy report cover sitting on a chest near the front door.All seven of us (four adults, two children, and a baby) were super comfortable in this cabin. We hope to go back some day, and possibly stay longer than we did this time!
