This was my 3rd stay at Sabbia (Playa Del Carmen) in 5 years. The first two stays were arranged through PlayaMoments, which personally manages 20 units in the complex. This year, We experienced a change with staff within the real estate management firm as well as within the condo complex itself. None for the better as you will soon read.In 2017 and 2018, as customers to PlayaMoments (PM), we were treated with dignity and respect (Luna). The staff was there to cater to our needs and to respond when needed in support of a comfortable stay. Staff seemed aware of the building and customers within and availed themselves at every turn in an unobtrusive way. Also, the Sabbia front desk staff were kind, fun, and supported us with ideas as to which parts of the local region to visit with tips as to navigating the landscape and the locals (and tricksters that take advantage of ignorant tourists). This year, the front desk staff had changed over to one main individual who was rude, never smiled, unwelcoming and down-right bossy in approach. Also, an issue was their lack of command with the English language. Unlike before, communication was an issue, and for a condominium complex to cater to so many English-speaking tourists, staff MUST be bilingual. This older gentleman was not, yet he communicated his distaste for me and my family as guests plainly with body language, expression, and approach.Working with Nadia, having taken over from Luna at PM, was a different experience and one with which i am still baffled. First of all, i was promised a 10% discount on my third stay with PM and Sabbie. It took me two months and over 10 texts, emails, and face-to-face conversations to get it. Immeasurable excuses for why the credit wasn't applied and provided was given with little solution until late in my trip when things really got challenging: I'm running out of space so in sum, no accountability, no honestly, and they don't know the building from which they rent space.
