Guests are welcome to enjoy the stunning salt-water pool at the main property next door. Most guests love having a dip with the view, but please note there is a large (and very friendly) dog on-site. If you prefer the dog be kept inside during your visit to the pool, just let us know—we’re happy to accommodate.

Your Casita is nestled in the peaceful mountain community of Lagunas de Barú, just 15 minutes above the surf town of Dominical. Here, you’ll be surrounded by lush rainforest, sweeping Pacific views, and the sounds of nature—all while staying within easy reach of Costa Rica’s most iconic experiences.

𝐍𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐲 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 (15 min): A laid-back beach town known for its consistent surf, local farmer markets, yoga, and casual beachside dining.

𝐍𝐚𝐮𝐲𝐚𝐜𝐚 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬 (25 min): Hike or horseback ride to one of Costa Rica’s most spectacular waterfall systems, where you can swim in jungle-lined pools.

𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐠: Dominical and Playa Hermosa are popular destinations for surfers due to its consistent waves. Whether you're a seasoned surfer or a beginner, you can find surf schools and board rentals in the area.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐨𝐥𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐧 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠: The waters off Dominical are known for hosting a variety of marine life. Consider taking a boat tour for the chance to spot whales and dolphins. The best time for whale watching is generally from December to April.

Getting Around:

AWD or 4x4 recommended during the months of May through November but not required, exploring Costa Rica in a SUV is much more comfortable then in a normal sedan due to the natural terrain in many areas.

Our home is located in the Lagunas area, a scenic and tranquil neighborhood in the southern part of Costa Rica, near the popular coastal town of Dominical known for its surfing, lush rainforests, and vibrant local culture. The neighborhood offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, making it an attractive destination for nature enthusiasts.
