Welcome to The Lighthouse, our beautiful new build four bed, four bath villa, perched on the hillside overlooking the marinas of Road Town. This stylish, centrally located home, with its modern aspect, cool breezes, pool, ample entertaining space, and work-from-home office has access to squash, tennis, gym, and restaurant just two minutes away on the Pasea Estate at the Tortola Sports Club and it is less than ten minutes to some of the most pristine beaches and the upscale restaurants of Tortola.
The Lighthouse has been carefully built and crafted over the past eighteen months, is finished, and furnished to the highest standards with a stunning artisan-built kitchen, completely equipped to meet the needs of even the most discerning chef and a very large open-plan living/dining/kitchen area with expansive verandas, pool, and spectacular views.
The house is very well equipped and has ample beach towels, beach chairs, cooler and ice blocks, iron and ironing board, hairdryers.
Most unusually this villa features a fully fitted work-from-home office with two desks, filing cabinets and high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity, which allows guests to connect back to the ‘home base’ when needed, whilst enjoying wonderful ocean views in luxurious surroundings as they work.
Guests can create their own culinary pleasures in the very well-equipped kitchen or on the gas grill before dining overlooking the ocean or engage one of several freelance chefs on the island who will cater to visitors’ specific taste. Alternatively, one might like to visit some of the great restaurants that are nearby such as The Dove, Brandywine, and Capriccios, all within a few minutes’ drive.
The Lighthouse, situated in a most desirable central location, is just minutes away from the beckoning blue ocean yet also very close to Road Town, making it an ideal location for those visiting BVI for business as well as pleasure. The villa sleeps at least eight people comfortably, all in the main house where there are two primary en-suite king bedrooms and two twin bedded en-suite bedrooms that can be made up to kings if preferred. Each of the four bedrooms has its own dedicated air-conditioning unit and beautiful bathroom. Privacy is guaranteed as friends soak up the Caribbean sun and enjoy the intimate luxuries of a villa designed to put everyone at peace with the world.
Within easy driving distance are the following amenities: beaches, restaurants, supermarkets, specialty stores such as the French Deli and Steakation, dive shops, sailing schools, surf schools, charter boat companies, boutiques, spas, zip-lining, and hiking. As your hosts, we provide a personal service at all times both before and during your stay. We welcome questions from our guests and can help with travel as well as things to do and places to go whilst you are in Tortola. As a family. Mark, Heather and their three sons have lived in BVI for 29 years and have sampled virtually all there is to do and see. We have welcomed over 500 groups of guests in our four other villas over the past ten years and their feedback has helped us to compile our list of recommendations.
We recommend a four-wheel drive vehicle to get the most out of being on the island, particularly for getting to the ‘secret’ beaches where your group is quite likely to be the only visitors! There are several car rental companies that we recommend. The rental vehicle can be parked at your arrival point, be it ferry dock or airport, ready for pick-up and can be left at your chosen location when you depart.
The Pasea neighbourhood where the villa is located, comprises for the most part owner-occupied bespoke and individually designed homes, each on up to one acre of land which guarantees a secluded retreat even though one is only a five-minute drive away from the hustle and bustle of the city and surrounds. From the comfortable villa balconies, vacationer can enjoy a bird’s eye view of the cruise ships, the multitude of marinas, the outer islands, and the ocean beyond.
Nestled majestically within the Pasea Estate, the villa is a five-minute jog or two-minute drive to Tortola Sports Club where tennis courts, squash courts, gym facilities and a fabulous bar and restaurant are all available.
And from the villa’s magnificent central location, it is just a ten-minute drive to the closest of the pristine deserted beaches on the North shore of Tortola, such as Trunk Bay and Rogues Bay and approximately twelve minutes to either Cane Garden Bay or Brewers Bay. For surfing enthusiasts, it is just a fifteen-minute drive to the fabulous sandy Josiahs Bay where there is a surf school and boards are for hire.
