I do wish you had reached out to me during your stay, as I would have made every effort to address the concerns in real time. As you may have seen from our past five-star reviews, I respond quickly and do everything I can to make things right for our guests. Regarding the fire pit tarp, it’s there to protect the equipment from the elements and ensure it remains functional for all renters. Unfortunately, the weather in Maine this summer has been unusually rainy, and despite our best efforts, we can’t always prevent water from collecting. About the refrigerator: after reviewing the photo you sent post-checkout, I immediately contacted my cleaning team and personally traveled to the home. I found a few coffee grinds on the freezer door shelf, likely from the complimentary bag of coffee we leave for guests. I removed and cleaned the shelf thoroughly. We will take extra care in the future to ensure that all areas, including inside the fridge, are spotless before each check-in. For the grill and deck area: the home is located in a wooded setting, which can make it challenging to maintain a debris-free deck, especially with falling leaves and pollen. That said, I visited the property and cleaned the grill area, including the mat and cover. We are now looking into hiring a professional to power wash the deck to enhance future guest experiences. Lastly, regarding the scent you noticed, I appreciated the photo you sent. Had you reached out sooner, I could have clarified the source immediately and resolved the issue from afar. We have never received a similar concern in past years of renting and take any such issue seriously. We take great pride in offering a clean, welcoming, and well-maintained home.
