We are very sorry for the internet speed inconvenience. Unfortunately, during the week you were here the internet provider was working in the area on problems and promoting a new upgrade to their system at the same time. That affected us in a way we never experience before. This caused interruptions on the service in different areas, not just our Villas but all over the area. We are very sorry for this and any inconvenience it may have caused you. Fortunately, their upgrade was successful and their service has been even better than it was before so we hope not to experience this issue ever again, however, there are some major problems that are out of our control but we always try our best to do everything we can to make sure every aspect of your stay with us is beyond fantastic. We love 5 star reviews and we work hard to get them. Of course occasionally there can be issues but we always go the extra mile to make things right for our guests. This review however falls outside of normal parameters. This guest had booked chef services with one of our best providers. They ordered and paid the deposit for this service 5 months before their arrival and their balance a week prior. They were also clearly informed by the provider (both in multiple emails months prior and in their invoice) that the payments at each stage were non-refundable, unless they are able to replace the dates with another booking. On the morning of their arrival the client decided that they wanted to cancel their cook service and demanded a full refund. As it would be impossible to replace their dates on such short notice with another booking, they were told that a refund was not possible. The catering company even offered to add extra services at no charge to help appease them. Nothing sufficed short of the refund they demanded and they began extorting the caterers, our company and the home owner with threats of bad reviews if we did not comply. This guest then began to fabricate “problems” with the quality of the food, the cleanliness of the home and our concierge services and tours and demand refunds for it all, again with menacing threats of bad reviews. I invite the reader to compare this review to the other 30 five star reviews for this home, including comments about outstanding service from the same caterers and our concierge. It is impossible to copy and paste everything into this reply, but we have numerous emails with written proof of their being unabashedly untruthful in their complaints and claims. Sadly, we are unable to have this review removed and it pains both our company, the property owner and the caterers who did nothing but bend over backward to try to accommodate these guests whims while being bullied by them and finally being the brunt of this untruthful public criticism.  Everyone knows Home Away Reviews is a fabulous resource for insight into the quality of accommodations and services but sometimes there are those exceptionally dishonest people out there who use review platforms as a tool to coerce merchants into bending to their demands. This is one of those cases and we hope you will trust all the other stellar reviews for both this property and our services and providers.
