Familie Beach House mit wunderschönen Sandstränden und exotischen Einheimischen Pflanzen, Vögel und Untiefen Wasser des Golf von Mexiko. Erst kürzlich im letzten Jahr in der exklusivsten Strandzone von Yucatan gebaut, mit viel Platz, auf diesem privaten Grundstück.

Ein volles Strandhaus 4 Schlafzimmer 5 Badezimmer auf zwei Etagen. Im ersten Stock gibt es die Waschküche, ein Schlafzimmer mit Bad, ein zweites komplettes Badezimmer für den Gast, Küche mit geschlossenem Vorratsraum, Kühlschrank, Backrohr, Mikrowelle, Esszimmer mit Sofa, vordere Strandterrasse und einen privaten Pool . Im zweiten Stock haben wir drei Schlafzimmer, alle mit Bad und eigenem Balkon für eine großartige Aussicht. Ein Zimmer ist ein Unterhaltungsraum mit Sofa. Ein anderes Zimmer hat zwei Doppelbetten und die Master Suite verfügt über ein Kingsize-Bett, ein großes Badezimmer mit Whirlpool und Hydromassage für zwei Personen sowie einen großen privaten Balkon. Alle Zimmer im zweiten Stock sind die Klimaanlage.

Der wunderschöne Strand ist von Sanddünen umgeben, die von einheimischer Vegetation umgeben sind. Von hier aus haben Sie einen unglaublichen Blick auf die Natur, den Sand und das Meer.

Diese Immobilie befindet sich nur wenige Minuten von der Innenstadt von Chicxulub Puerto entfernt, etwa 10 Minuten mit dem Bus, wo Sie einen städtischen Markt und regionale Fischrestaurants, eine Apotheke und einen Spirituosenladen finden können, auch wenn Sie eine Tour unternehmen möchten Reisebüro für jede Regionstour wie archäologische Zonen, Ruta Maya-Touren, Öko-Touren, Stadtrundfahrt. Nice house, location and host

Juan was very responsive. He met us upon arrival and came by a few times to deal with small issues or provide items. The location is about 15 minutes from Progreso in a quiet area. Great master bedroom. Comfortable accommodations.

Beautiful, quiet beach-side retreat

Lovely home steps away from a serene beach, open to incredible views in all directions, morning though evening. Terrific location within 2 hours of many ruins, cenotes, and an easy drive to Progreso or Merida for meals out. Being about 20 km out of Progreso added to the serenity of the setting - it was easy to spend days just at the home to soak it all in. Juan was a delight to work with and so very helpful in ensuring our stay was comfortable and giving us tips on where to explore. Hope to return someday!

Tranquil time away

Our recent stay at Villa Las Tunas was just what we needed. The time away was beautiful. The host was helpful and accommodating. We had the privacy that we enjoy. The view and breeze can not be captured in pictures. The sound of the waves call to me today. I long to return.

the house was absolutely awesome! i'm an architect so i could tell the house is very well designed.

The propery had everything we could need to have one of the best, peaceful and relaxing vacation ever. The owner, Juan was exelent. He really treated us like family and kept in touch at all times. We'll always be grateful for his attentions. We traveled from new York and everything was safe since the beginning. We hope to come back soon.

House on the beach

This house was awesome. Loved being able to walk down to the beach and collect seashells,Sitting in the house and hearing the waves. This house is close to many activities----Progreso, Merida, cenotes, Mayan ruins, Cancun, and shopping tell you drop. Activities were 30 minutes to 3 hours away The house was clean and comfortable. Juan was very helpful and quick to answer our questions. We had trouble with our car rental and Juan picked us up and took us to Merida to catch our plane Beto was great checking on things daily and even brought us some coconuts one day Thanks for the wonderful stay

A very beautifully designed and comfortable house. Juan is a helpful and caring host.Will be back.

The house is located in a beautiful part of the Yucatan. Our stay was too short. It would be easy to stay at the house all day. Beach access is great, and the bird life is amazing, the day we left about 20 pelicans were hanging out in the water a short distance from the house. There are so many day trips that can also be done from the house, Mayan ruins, Merida, the amazing Celestun Biosphere, and many others. The house offers indoor/outdoor living. We chose not to use the AC, and were very happy to live with the ceiling fans and the Golf breezes. We thank Juan and his wife, who designed the house, for a wonderful experience. We visited several smaller villages and ate incredible fresh seafood, bought our tacos hot out of the oven of local bakeries. So much more to explore. A great place to stay.

Great Beach House!

We had a wonderful time during our stay in early June. Mr. Simon was very attentive to our needs. Beto was also available to clean the pool daily and was ready to address any issues. Beto also helped organize a fishing trip with a local fisherman for the three men from our party, they got to fish and they also saw dolphins up close, they brought back enough fish for a nice big fish fry! We sure enjoyed the fresh fish!. The ocean water was warm and very shallow in that area, you are able to walk a great distance into the ocean and it is only up to your hips. This home is located in a great location and it is within a driving distance to Progresso. We felt very safe at this location. Not many neighbors were present during our stay making the area and the beach very private. The house is well equipped with everything you will need for your stay. Our teenagers enjoyed the great Wi-Fi, they were able to stay connected to their friends in the States. Thank you Mr. Juan Simon for the wonderful stay and we are looking forward to returning!

Beautiful Oceanfront House

We (5 people) rented this beautiful oceanfront house for 2 weeks in february. We are Canadians from Montreal. Our trip did not start well: our plane leaving Mtl left 12 hour late. So we had to stay in Cancun for a night. However, we made arrangement with the owner Juan to meet us at the house 1 day later than expected. When we got to the house, Juan greeted us in a very friendly manner and showed us the premises. The house is beautiful, very spacious and clean and well situated : the view of the ocean is very nice, the house is near Chicxulub and Progreso (thus a car is required to get around). The area is very quiet and we had no issue with safety. Juan was a gracious host and made sure that we had everything we need. Beto is the caretaker of the house: he was very nice and discrete. He came to the house when needed. Overall this is a great place: walks on the beach are great, great birdwatching in the area, beach is nice and wild. I definitely would recommend this house to friends.

Beautiful house, incredible ocean views, comforrable with all the needed amenities.

This home provided us with the most peaceful vacation we have ever had. It was so quiet and so few people in close proximity that it seemed the world was just the ocean and us. We love to hunt for shells on the beach - this beach had the BEST shelling we have experienced - some truly rare finds. The Gulf was very warm and the water was relatively calm. A person can walk in water slightly above their knees for a good distance out. The availability of fresh seafood abounds. We enjoyed it both at local restaurants and from local fishermen for our own preparation in a very well stocked kitchen at the house. And all of this is capped off by the delightful and caring owner of the home, Juan Simon. A nicer man to rent from doesn't exist. Juan's first and foremost goal was our happiness!! He provided service above and beyond all expectations. Certainly Juan is a great ambassador of the Yucatan. I have NO criticisms to offer whatsoever. Las Tunas is the real deal. We look forward to taking our entire family back soon - it can easily acccomidate 8-10 people.

The pictures and video of the property are very accurate. The home and surrounding area are extremely neat and clean. The home, walls, pool, stairs...all seem solid as a rock. Juan is a very helpful host and is there to give you guidance and suggestions in all things. He has business connections with many local people. He is very quick to respond when contacted. Beto, the caretaker, is a great guy and very helpful. We loved his ninos and dog, Terry. One evening, Beto's cousin, Azith, cooked a birthday dinner in the home for us, for a very modest fee. Just sitting on the patio, having your morning coffee, was heaven on earth. Progreso Beach and the Malecon area were really awesome. The food at the restaurants was excellent and very inexpensive. Eladio's restaurant, right next to the Progreso pier, was our favorite. We were one day late arriving in Merida due to mechanical issues with our flight. We were stranded in Houston for 14 hours. Juan offered to refund our first day's charge, when we finally arrived the following day. Peace, quiet, beautiful scenery, and fine food, was what we were after, and we were not disappointed with Villas Las Tunas or Progreso. We would give Juan Simon and Villas Las Tunas an A+. We had a wonderful time in a beautiful house!

We stayed at this property for 11 days in February 2016. The house is new and perfect. The outside pool and living space is also amazing. The house had everything you could ask for and I was amazed by the fantastic internet. In Mexico I have not had this luck with internet and cell service in other locations, but here cell phone service and internet is better than I have in the states! Juan was available for any needs we would have had, he was a text message away, but we needed nothing, and had no issues. It was a perfect vacation. The location of this house is very nice as well. It is right on the beach which is safe, quiet, and very nice. It is close to Progreso which is great, but also closer yet is a town called Chicxulub. We enjoyed both cities. Both were safe and had plenty of food/drink options. It was nice to have such a lovely house in a somewhat private area, but still be close to the cities for entertainment options. Merida is a very short drive as well, and is great to visit! I was shocked at the number of Canadians that spend all winter here on this beach. They love it and come back every year. We met some great people on the beach! We flew into Cancun rather than Merida as it is a cheaper flight. We drove 3.5 hours to the house but it was worth it. There were nice freeways which made travel safe and easy. I would recommend to anyone that wants to enjoy Mexico without the crazy tourist towns to stay here. Mexico is an amazing place to visit, and to have the experience of the less traveled Mexico is fantastic. We even looked at some homes to purchase in Chicxulub, I would love to retire here! Tremendous owner and service

Villa Las Tunas was our first experience in the Progreso area. We chose it for privacy and peacefulness and were not disappointed. We often had the beach to ourselves as far as the eye could see. At our requeat, Juan had a few items stocked for us until we could get our first full grocery order and the cost was very reasonable. A car is almost a must as the nearest major grocery stores are almost 20 km away (which we knew). There is an OXXO store about halfway to Progresso. We found Bodega Aurrera to be the best for produce and meat and there is also a Soriana directly across the street as an alternate. The Villa itself offers lots of space, good lighting and a/c that keeps the sleeping areas cool when needed, however we often found the master bedroom was fine with just the breeze from the Gulf at night. Water pressure in the master bedroom shower is a bit less than we are used to at home so we often used the main floor full bath instead which was fine. The hot water takes a bit of time to appear as I think it is an "on demand" system but be patient and it will warm up. We happened to run out of propne our first night there so it was a chilly shower and tuna sandwiches for dinner. Minor inconvenience and Juan was there first thing the next day with new tanks and apologies.He had told us that he knew the propane was getting low when we arrived and needed topping up - just a bit lower than the estimate. The kitchen is adequately stock with cookware and dishes. A few extra wineglasses would be nice ( 3 total). We also like plastic glasses to be available for beside the pool just in case of an accident. Bottled water is recommended for drinking and we were given 2 large water cooler sized bottles to get us started. Refills can be obtained at the OXXO. Swimming in the Gulf was enjoyable - a bit of a hike out past the second sandbar at low tide as noted in other reviews - and there can be a bit of a current depending on winds and tides as with any large body of water, but at no time did we find it a problem. The plunge pool is very refreshing after a Gulf swim or some time in the sun. The area felt very safe. This was our first time renting a car in Mexico and the highways are much like we have at home with less potholes. The main highway from Merida to the beach would put many expressways in Canada and the US to shame. Be aware that lane markings and stop signs in Progreso are only suggestions however ! We would rent from Juan again in a heartbeat !

Nearly perfect

The house and property are exactly as the listing shows. This is a beautiful place, and very peaceful. Our family had a wonderful time, and made many special memories here. From the spacious house, to the nearly private beach, it felt like a dream come true! But it IS a tropical climate, so there are some realities that you will face that are different from what you might experience in your normal everyday life. There might be ants in your food if you leave it out on the counters. You might encounter a larger than average sized spider (don't worry, they're NOT poisonous!). We only saw one, thankfully! There may be cute little geckos crawling on the walls. Not many. They really are cute and harmless! You may see large beetles in the house, but they aren't cockroaches. My husband grew up in Mexico, and says they are common in the warmer climates, and they aren't cockroaches. There was bug spray in the house, and we used it for all but the geckos. The only reason I mention the bugs, is because if you come expecting them, you can deal with them. You will have to bring your own washcloths. Also there are no hand towels. We just used our bath towels as hand towels. Most foreign countries don't use washcloths or hand towels! Bring your own spices if you plan to cook. The humid climate makes it difficult to keep spices without them getting clumpy. The host very kindly brought us salt and pepper when we asked about the lack of spices. The washing machine did work, but didn't spin out the water at the end, so we had to wring everything by hand. There is no dryer. Maybe it would seem that this isn't a good place to book, but in spite of these negatives, we LOVED this place, and truly had one of the best vacations ever! The natural beauty of this place more than makes up for the inconveniences you might encounter. And Yucatan state is the safest state in Mexico, which is another huge plus! The ocean here is calm, and quite shallow for many yards out. No sharks to worry about! The pool is very nice. There's a hose that you can use to rinse the sand off your feet. Every bedroom has a full bathroom, and we never had a problem with the water temperature or pressure. The toilets worked perfectly. You can even flush the toilet paper, which is not true everywhere in Mexico! I would recommend booking in the winter months as it gets extremely hot in the summer. We stayed in February, and it was perfect. Book it. You'll love it!

Magnífica casa. Mantenimiento muy pobre

Sin lugar a dudas la casa es hermosa, espaciosa y con muy buena ubicación. Sin embargo, no disfrute de la estancia en absoluto. Falta demasiado mantenimiento. No había agua fría por lo que tuvimos que apagar el boiler porque era imposible bañarse. Cómo las tuberías estaban tapadas, no había agua en la tazas de baño por lo que tuvimos que usar cubetas para poder hacer uso del baño. Eso era muy desagradable y molesto. ( Esto fue en toda la casa) También la mescladora de la cocina estaba rota completamente y el agua se desbordaba tanto por arriba de la cubierta como por abajo. Teníamos que recoger el agua en cubetas. Reporté esto al administrador, mando a alguien pero no pudo hacer mucho. Por lo que así estuvimos toda la estancia. Quiero decir que esto es absolutamente responsabilidad del administrador ya que la casa está tal cual se menciona en el anuncio muy hermosa. Lástima que por tanto problema no disfrutamos nuestra estancia.

Perfect location on the beech

We had a wonderful time at Vila las Tunas. Juan, the host, was excellent, meeting us for check to give us a tour of the house and always responsive to any issue that came up. The house itself is in a perfect location: right on a gorgeous beach that you almost have entirely to yourself. Me and my wife walked out ever night to collect sea shells or just stroll along the sand. Our favorite feature of the house was the pool in the back. It’s perfect for cooling off or relaxing and we spent hours in it. The location of the house is a short drive from Progreso and only ten minutes or so from a convenience store. The roads in the area are all in great condition and felt very safe. It’s about a 45-50 minute drive from the Merida airport. The house itself was clean but a little quirky (the hot water went out once) but Juan was very responsive and quickly addressed any issue that came up. Overall we had a wonderful time and we’d love to stay here again.

Chance for an improvement.

The house needs maintenance, there were no household items(clean towels, hand towels, bathmats, clean linens, kitchen utensils, trash bags) new mattresses would be nice, better outdoor furniture and new curtains or blinds. The owners quick response to our complaints was good. The house is a located in a good and pretty location. I would return again if the house was managed a lot better and maintained cleaner. Putting aside the inconveniences we had a really good time!

Of course we take the comments of our guests very seriously, and of course we make the necessary corrections and improvements as soon as possible, not without first mentioning that two weeks before the Huracan Delta passed over us and we had immense rains and a lot of humidity, we did what is humanly possible to restore as soon as possible the effects that our property had. Waterproofing, repairs, bedding changes, have been done according to the rigor that is needed. And our commitment will always be to offer a property with quality and service. At Villas Las Tunas, we care a lot about the quality of our property, and original and genuine comments will always be displayed from all the people who wish to do so.

So Peaceful!

What a wonderful vacation we had with our family at Villas Las Tunas! This well laid out home in the quiet area of Uaymitun has an amazing view and very easy access to the beach, which we practically had all to ourselves. When you open up the doors downstairs you can enjoy the gulf breezes all day long. Everything you need is close by - grocery stores, banks, and restaurants in Progreso, and only a short drive to the big city of Mérida, which has modern malls, Costco, Walmart, Sam’s, and more. There are historical sites from 30 minutes to 2 hours away, making day trips very doable. We were here 3 weeks and still didn’t have time to see and do all there is to experience! We found the people here to be very kind and helpful and we always felt very safe. Juan was a very kind and responsive host. He provided a high chair and pack and play for our granddaughter and was always available to answer our questions and requests. He organized Lilly and Pamela to cook our evening meals during our last week, which were delicious typical Yucatecan fare. A great value and a wonderful experience! If we ever come back to this area, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay a Villas Las Tunas again. Thank you, Juan, for everything you did to make our stay a pleasure.

Beautiful Sea Views In A Quiet Spot On The Peninsula

Stylish open concept house set in a quiet municipality outside the bustling beach town of Progreso. The entire glass wall separating the living room and patio opens to provide unobstructed views of the sea and sky. This also allowed the cool gulf breeze to flow through the ground floor. The house had all the comfortable and practical amenities we could want for a vacation stay. The soft white sand beach and tranquil gulf waters were very relaxing. There were times we had the beach and water entirely to ourselves for as far as the eye could see. The house location was a good jumping off point for day trip adventures around the Yucatan. A rental car is HIGHLY recommended. Our host Juan was welcoming, gracious and responsive. This house was a key component to our magical mid winter Mexico vacation escape.

Villa Las Tunas , Could not of asked for more

Villa Las Tunas exceeded all of my expectations, the beautiful views the stylish house and all the amenities at your fingertips. Juan took the extra time to set up all the little details, he helped me bring in a massage therapist, a chef to cook a special meal for my family and answered any questions we had. Being so close to Progresso and the stores it was easy to create a meals and spend time with my family. What an amazing experience and a amazing view Thank you we will be back.

Mi familia y yo tuvimos oportunidad de encontrar Villas las tunas en la red y las fotos nos gustaron mucho. Cabe mencionar que desde el principio tuvimos contacto con Juan, quién es el propietario y durante todo el proceso estuvo al pendiente de toda nuestra estancia en las Villas. La casa cuenta con todas las comodidades que se requieren para disfrutar y descansar de la vida de la ciudad. Internet, sala, cocina, refrigerador, lavadora, todos los cuartos con baño y minisplit, alberca para pasar el día en familia, asador por aquello de la carne asada y la playa a unos cuantos metros de la casa, pero lo más espectacular es la increíble vista que tiene al atardecer, definitivamente una de las mejores en la zona. El ambiente sumamente tranquilo por lo que puedes disfrutar del sonido del mar a cualquier hora del día. El puerto de progreso a solo 20 minutos en carro y 40 minutos al centro de Mérida por lo que la ubicación es inmejorable. Definitivamente lo recomiendo, sobre todo para pasar las vacaciones en familia y disfrutar de la calma que ofrece el lugar. Marco Jasso Monterrey, Nuevo León.

Great house built for relaxation!

Six of us stayed at the wonderful beach house. I made the arrangements and it was a breeze. The owner Juan was most helpful and went out of his way to help us. One couple missed their flight and he arranged for a driver, who had to wait for several hours because their flight was delayed, to let them follow him in their rental car since it was midnight and there was construction on the bridge. The upstairs water pressure wasn't the greatest, but the air conditioning in the bedrooms made them nice and cool. The view was glorious, and the beach only a 30 second walk. Went on two fishing excursions and ate at some great restaurants. Only regret is we couldn't stay longer!!!! Give this house and vacation 5+++ stars! The fishing excursions were Emerald Coast and Yucatan Snook. One of our guests caught a 35+lb Tarpon! Highly recommend both. Best restaurant was the Crabster.
