We stayed so we could easily get to nyc and it was great!!! Only a short less than 10 minute walk to the train station!!! I will be back

Its a quaint little apartment at the top of the stairs. Pizza and shopping are within walking distance. Perfect for myself and 2 children.

Place was basic- good for the 2 nights we stayed. But it wouldve been nicer if they actually cleaned the place- there was something mysterious rotting in the fridge, the towels werent clean, and the shower had hair on the wall from whoever stayed previously, and the trash was full when we arrived. would stay again if they actually cleaned the place.

Mediocre stay

The apt is as pictured a nice small apartment close to NYC. Not mentioned is that it is a third floor walk up. Upon arrival the apt was not cleaned, I cleaned the bathroom myself. The bed was very cozy we slept well only downside was the cleanliness and the hike up the stairs.

Good low cost option

Good relatively low cost option for 1-2 people. Wasn’t cleaned when we first arrived but they came and cleaned it immediately. Host reached out frequently to ensure we were ok. Wouldnt recommend more than 2 people unless someone short can sleep on a couch.

My friend and I weren’t too picky with where we stayed as we weren’t planning on being in the room that much, but we were speechless when we arrived at the house; Not only because it was located at the top of a long and steep hill, there was a massive staircase right at the top of the hill we had to climb to get to the room as well. We opened the door and the smell of weed was so potent, full trash bags left in the kitchen, half drank beverages were left on the counter, pizza and food was left in the fridge and freezer, no toilet paper, no cleaning supplies. Bed was unmade and sheets were just thrown on it, towels were dirty and just thrown on the dresser. The floor was dusty and dirty as well as the tables.

This stay was "livable" but it was not well-kept. We left a night early. I thought the other reviews about cleanliness were maybe a few bad apples, but this was just like the other reviews said. Steep street and staircase, not included in the listing which is not something people think to look into and can serve as a severe disadvantage to someome who isn't entirely mobile. There's no landing where the bottom of the staircase meets the front door which also felt like a hazzard. One pan. No staple kitchen items, like cooking oil. Almost non-existent utensils. The bedding was not washed (stain, crumbs, and hair) and we had to ask for a new set. The faucet in the bathroom was backwards in terms of hot and cold (hot was cold and cold was hot). The shower was either scolding hot or freezing if you move the dial a millimeter. The sofa had a huge rip it in under the cover. The wifi is located in the owner's house next door, rather than in the unit so nothing would load. The select button on the TV remote didn't work, so we couldn't use it. I don't usually leave reviews at all, but I would hate to see someone who is physically disabled, or expecting to have a comfortable apartment to come back to be surprised by the state of this unit. I'm not sure how the host doesn't clean or fix anything based on the reviews but I plan on reporting the property to avoid further misunderstanding.

Issues with accessibility

The owner needs to mention explicitly that this rental is on a hilly area. It is also only for those who can climb up steep steps with their luggage bags. The aircon requires maintenance. It was hot throughout our stay. The temperature kept rising though we’ve turned it down. Also, communication with owner was hard. It takes him a few days to respond.

Not clean when we arrived.

When we arrived it hadn’t been cleaned. Both the host and the family that came up to clean were very nice and it was more or less cleaned up while we went to the grocery. But it was never vacuumed and there were granola crumbs on the carpet and couch. There’s no outlet in bathroom.The fridge was dirty. A total of 1 knife in the kitchen. It said it sleeps 3 and there is 1 bed, so you would think there would be an extra sheet or blanket for someone sleeping on the couch. But there weren’t. And the couch was literally crumby. The people were nice and if it had been clean and if there had been extra sheets/blankets to sleep comfortably, I probably would’ve rated it pretty high.
