2 bedroom French Dog Friendly Gite with access to large garden and swimming pool

Our Gîte (guest house) is a detached house on our site, accommodating a maximum of four people. The cottage is simple but fully furnished.
Via an external stone staircase and through the front door, you reach the lounge/kitchen with wood burner. It contains all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay including a microwave, 4 ring gas burner and an air fryer. There is also a washing machine.
For hot drinks you will find a coffee maker, kettle and fridge.
A table and 4 chairs are also provided for mealtimes.
The room also boasts a comfortable settee, high beamed ceiling, a ceiling fan with lights and views from the front door to the pool.
The room is perfectly positioned to take in the sunrise.
Due to the stone walls it is very cool in the Summer.

A staircase down leads you to the two bedrooms and the bathroom with walk-in shower with thermostat, sink, toilet and towel heating.

The cottage is equipped also with an iron, hairdryer,cutlery, crockery, cookware and utensils for a comfortable stay, all bed linen and towels are provided.
It is situated in the large garden of the accommodation but separated by a courtyard.


Take the opportunity to enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature.
A garden table is also provided just outside to enjoy your breakfast.

Alternatively, should you wish to join the hosts and other guests for breakfast this can be arranged for a small charge.

There are four other bed and breakfast rooms in the main house and everyone is invited to enjoy the pool.

The Gite is private but is situated in the large grounds with fencing around it for privacy. Because of this we are able to accommodate two small to medium dogs. All around is countryside.

Should you wish to venture out there are many places to experience and enjoy.

The village of Pionsat is 5 km from the grounds. In addition to a castle with museum (Musée de la Résistance), you will also find a supermarket, a hotel/restaurant, a bakery, a butcher and various other shops.

In the immediate vicinity of the Bed and Breakfast there are beautiful walks and bike rides, where it is possible to encounter wildlife such as deer, foxes, martens and birds of prey.

Within half an hour's drive there is a beautiful golf course (Golf de Sainte-Agathe), where golf enthusiasts can play a challenging game on the hilly landscape. There are several other golf courses within an hour's drive of our property.

Of course, you can also go on numerous day trips. Large cities such as the university city of Clermont-Ferrand with beautiful old buildings made of lava stone, but also Riom and Montluçon are certainly worth a visit. A mixture of old and new awaits you, with modern shops and restaurants blending in perfectly with the historical sights.

There are lots of fun things to persue , such as visiting the Sioul Gorges, where different canoe trips can be made, and the beautiful volcanic region of Puy-de-Dôme where you can, amongst other things, go paragliding, climbing, swim in a volcanic lake or visit the Vulcania theme park.

In addition, there are many other options in the area, such as visiting various castles, relaxing in one of the many thermal baths and spas, visiting local markets with specific regional products such as cheese (Bleu d'Auvergne) and sausages are a must.

In short: Auvergne has a lot to offer young and old alike!

If you don't fancy cooking or taking a journey out to a restaurant you can join us for a 'table d,hote'.
This is a set 3 course, home cooked meal. On warm evenings this can often be served in the courtyard around 7.30pm and 6pm for children if required.
Price per person is just 27.50 euros (half price for children under 12)
Wine, beer and soft drinks will also be available.
