The house was lovely, the location was excellent, the infinity pool and view were out of this world special. I was concerned about having staff around so much, but Gemma was wonderful. We appreciated the delicious dinner that was cooked for us on Thanksgiving and having hot coffee and bread in the morning.

Perfect family vacation house

We couldn't have chosen a better or more comfortable home for our family trip to Puerto Escondido. The house itself was so clean and comfortable, though we spent the majority of our time around the pool (with its incredible view).The location was a perfect walking distance to the main strip with all of the restaurants and shops, as well as conveniently close to the beach. Super quiet, but also safe.Alex was beyond helpful with check-in and troubleshooting any questions. Would absolutely book again!

The host was welcoming however , we were not told in advance of the trip that we would have to pay for the food and prepared chef dinners at the time of the meal. Had weknown, we would have had brought more pesos. Because we did not have enough and ghe ATM in town was disabled,wwehad to spend a very long time finding a bank.meal. We have rented many houses inthe past and the meals were always totaled at the end of the stay which we believe makes much more sense.Instead we had to have long conversations about how many guests were at each meal, and the food costs afer each meal or the following day. It became tiresome after the second day and we decided to only have breakfast.In addition one bath towel per person in a large house is not good service. we appresiate the water situation but that doesn't explain the lack of bath andbeaach towels. We also should have been told that one bedroom was immediately off the kitchen so the person using that room was awakened two days in a row when the women started prepping for breakfast. There was a disabled AC unit in the living room which we should have been told about in advance. Eating dinner in the indoor dining room while the women were cooking was very uncomfortable and hot. Fans should have been provided to accomodate for the loss of a critical air conditioner. The pool was the highlight of the acomodation however, we had to ask that it not be cleaned during the day when it was in use.

I’m glad you enjoyed the pool, which many of our guests also consider a highlight of the property. I also appreciate your kind words about our team, Gemma and Itzel, who work very hard to make each stay comfortable. I would like to clarify a few items for future guests who may read this review. Our home offers optional chef-prepared meals, which many guests enjoy during their stay. These meals are prepared fresh by our staff, and the cost of ingredients and preparation is discussed and settled at the time of service. This helps ensure transparency and accuracy regarding how many guests participate in each meal. In addition, we provide complimentary breakfasts of fresh bread and coffee for our guests, which are included as part of the stay. Regarding towels, we provide a full set of bath towels & Pool towels for each guest upon arrival, and additional towels are always available upon request. When extra towels were requested during this stay, our staff provided them immediately. For the pool maintenance mentioned, our staff did begin cleaning during the day on one occasion, but once the guests let us know their preference, we immediately adjusted the schedule to ensure it would not interfere with pool use for the remainder of their stay. Concerning the bedroom near the kitchen, our home is a large shared living space and one of the bedrooms is located closer to the kitchen area. Once the concern was brought to our attention, our staff made sure to minimize early morning noise as much as possible. Finally, while the coastal climate in this region can be quite warm depending on the season, the main living area is equipped with functioning air conditioning and ventilation to keep the space comfortable for guests. We truly value all feedback and always do our best to respond quickly to guest requests during their stay. Our goal is for every guest to have a relaxing and enjoyable visit, and we appreciate the opportunity to host travelers from around the world.

We had a wonderful time. Great spot for a group

Great house for a stay in Puerto Escondido. It's large and spacious and close to restaurants. The pool is amazing and has a great view. There is no access to the beach from the backyard but there are beaches a short drive away. The house is close to a popular viewing spot down the street where people come to watch sunsets. Overall, it was a great place and would recommend.

Scenic Views and Nice Location

Large villa with plenty of rooms and beds to sleep guests. Beds and rooms are comfortable with nice AC. Pool was great and a nice amenity to have. Great views as well and can hear the ocean from the home as well. Walkable distance to beaches and to the Rinconada area which has some markets and nice places to eat. Staff was very kind and helpful, prepared a very nice dinner of us one night. Property manager was helpful in putting us in contact with fishing charters etc.

Incredible Property!

Casa Junto al Mar was everything we hoped for and so much more. The house itself is absolutely stunning, and Miguel, Gemma, and the staff made the stay over the top amazing. They are so helpful and available to support with anything- from helping us set up dinners cooked by Gemma and the girls, to giving recommendations for excursions, or picking up drinks for our first night. Everything was beautiful and we are already looking forward to booking again in the future!

If you are travelling with a large group, this place is ideal. 5 main bedrooms each with private bathroom allows for total independence while providing for social gatherings in the common area and pool. Ideally located a short walk from the Rinconada where restaurants are plentiful but tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood. And, you just can’t beat the ocean view.

Unbelievable views! Heavenly sunrise and sunsets

The house is absolutely beautiful and spacious. The pool are is gorgeous, with spectacular views of the sunrise and sunset. Great location close to restaurants and shops, (try El Cafecito Restaurant for breakfast). Everything was clean and well kept, and the staff was helpful and kind. My only minor negative was the fan in master bedroom was loud, but truly it was a minor thing. Cannot wait to come back!

We had an amazing stay at Miguel's home. The pictures do not do it justice. The pool overlooking the cliffs was awesome. The bedrooms and bathrooms are large and the beds are comfortable. The best part was the service from the staff. We had Gemma and her team fix us breakfast and lunch every day. It was amazing. Can't wait to return!

Paradise!

We absolutely loved our stay at this dreamy property. We were a large group of 12 friends and there was ample space for all. So incredible to have this gorgeous pool and incredible view to ourselves - a peaceful retreat in the vibrant local community. The property was even better than pictured/expected. We felt like royalty. Thank you to Miguel, Gema and all who made our stay so wonderful. Can’t wait to come back!

The owner bought this property because he wanted an Infinity Pool. And this property was the right one. . Breath taking ocean view and Wonderful sunsets.

when you walk in the house you can see the Infinity pool. Just having your meals out in the patio with the sound of the waves, filling you with relaxation it just feels right . When there is a storm you can expirience the lightning and thunder over the sea.
Black night with an amazing reflection of the moon on the pool. This place is paradise.
