Welcome to the Magic City and a home away from home experience at our newly renovated and centrally-located spacious one bedroom suite. Our downstairs suite has a private entrance and all the comforts of home including a well stocked kitchenette , beautiful walk in shower, desk workspace, wifi, and Roku TV. Close to 2 main Birmingham corridors we offer quick access to downtown, Oak Mtn Amphitheater, Homewood and Hoover while minutes from Summit shopping. We look forward to hosting you!

We love to host and are happy to share our home with family friends and travelers to our Magic City!
Our space has a private entrance in the back of our house and a designated covered parking space under our deck just for you. Additional street parking for an additional car. We hope you feel like family in our homey guest area. We offer A king size bed with a designated closet for your use - our space can be cool in the winter months so we provide extra blankets and a space heater if needed - a box fan iron and ironing board are also available. Your private bathroom has a new walk in shower and we provide plenty of towels and extra toiletries. The den and kitchenette area have a table for 2 for 2 -an antique desk with chair - retro leather couch - 2 sitting chairs and a tv with Roku and You Tube TV. The kitchenette has a microwave refrigerator Keurig and air fryer.

We are on property and happy to provide advice for our favorite local spots for shopping, restaurants and 3 wonderful parks nearby- 2 in walking distance!!

We respect your privacy and also would love to have you “up on the porch” to join us for a visit and fire pit!

We really enjoyed our stay, the place was neat and clean, the decor made us feel like we were in the smokey mountains cabin. It was very cozy, a great place for a romantic weekend getaway. The host was nice and welcoming. Will stay again soon.

Like going to your grandparents house for a weekend. Such intentional hospitality was displayed from the decorations to the snacks and coffee. It truly felt like being welcomed into a family member’s house.

Kitchen was fully equipped. Although the owners are nearby we hardly saw them. They were very respectful, also very kind when we did communicate. The had a lot of sweet, thoughtful, and kind extras for guests. We appreciated all the thought they put into their guest space. Thank you for hosting your lovely space. Great for home base to explore Oak Mtn St Park n Barber Motorsports Museum. Remember your in a walk out basement,Great for us seniors, No Steps, can be to cool for some. But heaters n blankets fixed that for us. Bed was Huge King very soft. Shower n water pressure was awesome. Host made sure you didn’t need anything. She thought of everything from personal items to snacks. Lots of linens, Big fluffy towels. A lot of decorative items to look at, probably a lot from the family that grew up in this home. We were Blessed w beautiful days n great hiking. Thank you for hosting us.
Close by , great last stroll for evening.
Great hiking n meet up w our camping friends.
A Must if you Love Motorsports.

Perfect rental for a romantic stay in Birmingham

My wife and I stayed for 2 night to celebrate our anniversary The rental was great. Safe, clean, private, and beautifully decorated. We would definitely stay again, as we enjoyed the hiking trails and plan to come back to the area in the future.

Perfect Retreat

My wife and I were looking for a peaceful retreat while on vacation in Birmingham. We were very impressed with this quiet peaceful space. Our hosts were very responsive and kind. This will be our first choice in the future! The artwork, ambiance and overall environment was fantastic!

Don't Stay Anywhere Else

Let's get to the point. This was the nicest VRBO property I've ever stayed in. If the location works out for you, then book it and avoid overpriced hotels. There's nothing more I can offer that other reviewers haven't already provided.

Best VRBO yet!

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. We were attending an adoption conference at our agency, which was nearby. We never actually met the owners (because we were gone all day every day), but they were so quick to respond to any questions we had. We absolutely loved their decorations, books, and even food in the fridge! Felt like we were staying with friends or family. Next time we're in the area, we will definitely stay here again!

We had everything we needed. The apartment has a great layout - one level with a separate bedroom and bath, and a comfortable living area and kitchenette. It was like staying with a friend. It is located in a daylight walkout basement. You can come and go through your private entrance and parking space. The decor is a dark, woodsy eclectic mix with lots of original art. The host provided snacks and coffee. It is in a beautiful tree shaded neighborhood that is great for walking but it has steep hills.

Great hideaway near Birmingham

If you love a mixture of vintage/antique and modern, this is your place for a getaway for two! Our hosts provided a spectacular venue that was absolutely private and cozy. Snacks on the counter, water and soda in the fridge, and beautiful welcome gift and card welcomed us. We are thrifters and this trip was a birthday present for my wife. She asked “how did you found such a wonderful place?” We can’t say enough how much we enjoyed our stay. Perfect 10 for us and we will definitely stay again! Thanks Sissy for the beautiful artwork and antiques throughout!! 10 out of 10

Inside Temperature Was Our Only Dislike

If you like your inside temperature EXTREMELY cold... this is the place. The VRBO space is not on it's own HVAC system, so the thermostat is in the Host's living area. However, perfectly sized small space heater/fans are provided, they work well to take the freezing edge off the room as well as heavy blankets. I get cold before my man does, and he likes it cold... this was even too cold for him. Water pressure is fantastic. Plenty, almost too much, hot water. Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay here, and will probably return next year for the SEC Baseball Tournament games in Hoover games.
