The main floor of the 1821-built cottage is deceptively spacious. The tiled vestibule proves a great space for addressing muddy boots or paws! Once inside, the ceramic tile leads you through the main hallway into the home.
LOUNGE/ RECEPTION ROOM
The lounge is a tranquil and sociable space with two large and comfortable sofas, armchair and vintage original window seat. An updated Clear Vu wood-burner stands ready in the hearth to make your stay even more luxurious. Entertainment in the form of vintage reading material or modern Smart TV including Sky channels, Netflix and Disney+. There is also an array of puzzles, games and activities housed in the built-in cabinetry.
KITCHEN:
The recently renovated and well designed space is ready to cater to all your needs. The Cornish range maybe long-gone, but the integrated electric NEFF double ovens providing fuss-free and reliable cooking. The induction hob, complete with brand new pots and pans provide instant heat and control. The integrated fridge freezer includes masses of storage for a busy holidaying family of all types. An extensive list of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils has been recently purchased.Appliances include Swan coffee machine for those who enjoy the process of coffee-making but also a Nespresso machine for those who want to get to the beach. Pink SMEG toaster and kettle round out the appliances. Belfast-style sink and custom butchers block complete the space with style.
DINING ROOM & "NOOK"
Directly off the kitchen, you'll find the dining room complete with up-cycled traditional farmhouse table and chairs from local Saffron Cottage Furniture. Compass Cottage provides a truly unique dining experience with its glass ceiling. Whether it's breakfast under the summer blue skies, or dinner under the stars, a meal around the traditional farmhouse table is unbeatable. The comfortable sofa in the nook off this space provides a relaxing place to digest or read.
REAR COURTYARD:
The cosy courtyard has been recently renovated and features the cottage's namesake - a compass - inset in the patio. This space provides a welcome outside retreat complete with metal patio set and bench. Enjoy morning coffee or evening glass of wine to the sounds of the seagulls overhead and the boat rigging sounding out against the wind.
DOWNSTAIRS SHOWER/ WET ROOM:
The recently renovated shower room features Delft-style tiling in homage to the Dutch founders of Flushing. Being on the main floor means you can roll into the shower from your outdoor adventures with ease, and you'll love the super-powerful Miel shower. Hanging space for wetsuits rounds out a space designed for entirely for the Cornish beach-lover.

Up the turning staircase you'll find an array of closet space designed for case and hanging contents. Compass Cottage benefits from having two comfortable and welcoming double rooms.
BEDROOM ONE:
This main bedroom features a king-sized bed, complete with wall mounted bedside lights and drawers. The room also enjoys shallow storage in the built-in cabinetry and a dressing table. A range of duvets and linens have been selected to cater to a variety of sleepers. From this room you'll catch a glimpse of the Bowling Green and enjoy views of the oldest house in Flushing - An Coth directly opposite.
BEDROOM TWO:
This slightly smaller room is furnished with a similarly stylish double bed. Again there is storage in the form of bedside cabinets and dressing table. Hanging space is also provided in the wall hanging cabinet. Both bedrooms feature mounted art from a range of local artists and craftspeople.
MAIN BATHROOM:
We hope that you take the time to enjoy a deep bath in our luxury bathroom. The fixings are in keeping with the Grade II-listed property and the Fired Earth bathtub in particular envelops the bather - take advantage of the wine glass holder for some quality you time!

ATTIC ROOM/ BEDROOM 3:
This recently finished room is a revelation for the family enjoying their Cornish adventure and from the front skylight you'll enjoy views out over the Carrick Roads to the town of Falmouth. The space is equally adaptable for younger children as it is for teens and adults. The attic room features comfortable sleeping for three in the form of two beds and a trundle. The warm and welcoming space features an array of books, blocks and wooden toys perfect for the small ones. A new flat-screen TV ready for hooking up to a games console or DVD player will likely delight the older ones. Under-bed storage invites clean-up and organization. Once the kids are settled into this space, they won't want to leave... Something that will likely mean a quiet main house~!
