35 minutes drive & you are in Angouleme, the once capital city of the Charente Department (16), International capital of Comics, Host to the yearly Circuit du Ramparts, and Ville d'Art et d'Histoire (Town of Art and History).

Drive a little east of Le Grange Charentais and you will find the Lacs Du Haute Charente a stunning duo of lakes ready for your fun, sailing, swimming, fishing, horse-riding, sunbathing, cycling, Kayaking or just sipping something cool on the terrace of its various bars and restaurants dotted around the edges.
A safe place for swimming is at Beach 16 or hiking is a favourite pastime of visitors in this area also.

From Angouleme it's a 30 minute train ride into the centre of Bordeaux, or if you fancy a day trip to Paris under 3 hours will get you there by TGV (fast train)

The property is situated on the doorstep of the Périgord-Limousin Natural Regional Park
(Parc naturel régional Périgord-Limousin) where there are many beautiful drives through tiny villages and countryside. There are plenty of books, games and puzzles for you to spend a quiet hour or two, find a quiet spot for a chilled book read and a few refreshments in your private garden, overlooked only by the two neighbouring ponies grazing in the field next door.

3 bedrooms, (suitable for 5 adults only, although can accommodate 4 adults and 2 children. as there is a trundle bed in the 3rd bedroom which can be made up ready for the 2nd child)
2 bathrooms, A reading corner, a large comfy modular sofa, plenty of DVD's ( currently no Television channels however there is a HDMI cable should you wish to stream from your device) and a fully equipped kitchen are all ready for you to enjoy your break away from your every day.
