2/2 Einfamilienhaus auf der Insel Venedig. Zu Fuß, mit dem Fahrrad oder zu den schönen Stränden von Venedig fahren. Aktualisierte Küche, Edelstahlgeräte, neue zentrale Luft- und Terrazzoböden. Haus schließt auch einen großen eingezäunten Hinterhof für Ihr Haustier mit ein und ist sehr privat.

Beide Schlafzimmer haben Queen-Pillow-Top-Matratzen. Sehr schöne überdachte Terrasse zum Grillen und Genießen des schönen Florida Wetters. Zu Hause gehören auch zwei Flachbildfernseher.

Der berühmte Hundestrand von Venedig ist nur eine Meile entfernt. Andere naheliegende Annehmlichkeiten sind Sharkys im Pier Restaurant und Golfspielen am 27-Loch Lake Venice Golf Club in Venedig, alle eine Meile entfernt. Venedig Little Theatre und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Innenstadt mit Restaurants und Nachtleben. Unser Haus ist auch nur 4 Blocks vom Legacy Trail, einem 20-Meile Freizeitpfad für Biker, Jogger und Wanderer.

Fabulous location and pet friendly

Great single family cottage on Venice Island. Fenced back yard. Clean, well stocked. Beds comfortable. Cute, usable patio with shade available. Nice, residential neighborhood, quiet. We easily walk a mile or two or three so we walked to great grocery store (Publix), downtown Venice with lovely shops and restaurants (including some dog friendly patios!) and an exceptional dog beach. (Lots of people beaches too). We ended up buying a place in Venice before we left. Very genuine, friendly, quiet place. Owners friendly, very thoughtful.

Great save for our travel

We were able to book this stay after our original booking was unavailable after the owner sold it and failed to cancel the booking. Barb & Kyle are great hosts and the house has a great fenced in yard that our dogs love! Close to the dog beach and as cute as can be it retains the old Florida charm. Would stay again.

A comfortable home in very nice neighborhood

The house is ideal for a couple. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood within an easy walk to several beaches, including a dog beach, a 27 hole golf course with driving range, and for you pilots out there, a very nice general aviation airport. It's very easy to get downtown which is centered on Venice Ave, there's a big grocery store within 0.6 mi. and a Walgreens within 0.9 mi. There are nice restaurants to choose from with a lot variety in cuisine and atmosphere. Bring bikes if you can. Venice is VERY bike friendly. The house is well kept. There is a spacious (by Florida standards) back yard that is completely fenced in. If you have a dog, there's plenty of room to run in the yard and wander the neighborhoods with fido on a leash. Our Bishon had a lot of fun chasing after the squirrels that you will find throughout Venice in large supply.

Convenient dog friendly in lovely neighborhood close to beach.

My husband and I sold our home in Virginia quickly and needed a place to stay for an undetermined amount of time in order to find a home in Sarasota county. Karl and Barbara were great to work with us during our seven week plus stay. It has a huge fenced in back yard which was wonderful for our two four legged children and very close (1-2) miles from Brohard Paw Park and Venice Beach. The house is in a nice quiet safe neighborhood not far from grocery and retail shopping. Comfortable beds in both bedrooms, nice kitchen, patio area for outside dining with grill and at a very reasonable price. It was perfect for all our needs.

Very comfortable and well-maintained, excellent ammenities and upgrades, location is PERFECT!

We were two of us with our 50-lb dog, and our 1-month stay was a delight for all three of us! The house is small and cozy, just right for us. It might be a bit small for more than one couple or a small family of three. The fenced-in yard is spacious and extremely private, lots of running room for our dog, plus he got to chase rabbits and squirrels back there every morning. :-) We had fresh lemonade all month long from the trees out back (I don't think the oranges per the other reviews were ripe yet, or at least we thought we were picking lemons!). The other reviews already point out that the beds were very comfy, the kitchen and appliances were upgraded and very well done, great laundry and two very nice HD TV's. The outdoor patio (also fairly private) had a wonderful table-set with six chairs, great for relaxing, reading, meals, happy-hour and roomy enough that the three of us had a small yoga class on the deck many times (Gus can do downward dog really well!). We had no problems with the two a/c units, and typically only needed to run one-at-a-time to stay comfy, even though it was mid-to-high-eighties just about every day we were there. The bathrooms were definitely old-school 'retro' decor, but very clean and functional and reminded me of my house as a kid. :-) Kyle made sure to take care of the things that some places might skimp on - for instance, the wi-fi here has blazing fast bandwidth, the cable TV had all the channels and even a couple pay-stations available, he provided a great variety of books to read for those rainy days, and a lot of the little-item consumables were already there when we arrived - the sort of little things you don't usually travel with. Also had laundry supplies and bathroom supplies, and the kitchen utensils and pots/pans were top-notch. He provided beach towels, nice portable beach chairs, a bunch of beach-toys, shark-teeth diggers, beach umbrella, coolers, etc etc. I could keep going... you get the idea. Location - the best! Great neighbors, met several of them walking every morning with our dog - and we walked just about the whole island 2-3 miles every day. We also borrowed bikes for our stay, and enjoyed the bike path around the whole island. Walked to the dog beach, made tons of new friends there too. This town is over-the-top dog-friendly - including the outdoor restaurants and shopping too. Highly recommend the Blu Island Bistro for b-fast or lunch! We highly recommend! A++!

Cozy but comfortable and nice location in nice neighborhood

Stayed for a week for my daughters spring break as she had friends staying in the area. Home is located about 3/4 mile from the beach and 3/4 mile from Venice Avenue where the shops and restaurants are located. Also 3/4 mile from Publix and many other shopping and dining options on Tamiami Trail. Hard surface flooring throughout which was perfect for my daughters asthma. Very comfortable beds. Newly redone kitchen with granite and stainless steel appliances. Large fenced very private backyard with orange and grapefruit trees which produced abundant fruit. It worked perfect for what we needed and if I had any suggestions would be to consider adding central air as there are window units only in main living area and master bedroom. No unit in second bedroom. This owner was very responsive and attentive and has obviously done everything he can with the house in order to make it up to date and comfortable.

Comfortable and quiet winter escape

My husband and I spent 2 wonderful months at Kyle's rental home in Venice this winter. The house was clean and nicely decorated with an updated kitchen and separate laundry room. The beds were very comfortable. The location was close to beautiful beaches including the best dog beach I've ever seen. It was also a short walk to the nice shops and restaurants on Venice Ave. We loved the covered patio for dining and reading or just listening to the sounds of nature. Our pups loved exploring the large orange tree filled back yard. We would recommend this home to anyone wanting to enjoy this friendly neighborhood and everything Venice has to offer.

Great Rental Venice, FL (Island)

We had the treat of staying in Kyle’s rental on Venice Island for a ‘short’ three and one half months. Our arrival was New Year’s Day. The rental was a total delight. The rental is beautiful with an upgraded kitchen, new appliances and cherry wood cabinets, HD television in the living room and fully operational secure Wi-Fi. The two bedroom, two bath house served us very well as we had family visitors. The TV in the master bedroom afforded the opportunity for each of us to see our favorite programs when we had different choices. We enjoyed many hours out on the patio and deck relaxing at ‘home’ and enjoying the beautiful weather. The large fenced-in backyard afforded a safe place for our two small dogs to run and get exercise. We took many oranges and grapefruits from the backyard fruit trees for fresh juice. The laundry room, enclosed and attached to the house, was equipped with nice front-loading washer and dryer. The laundry room also provided additional storage space. Kyle is very informative and accommodating. He gave us great suggestions for good eateries and nearby beaches. We highly recommend this rental to all who want to enjoy the wonders of Venice Island and be totally comfortable with your accommodations in a nice quiet neighborhood close to beaches.

Clean, Comfortable, Convenient and Quiet

We were Kyle's first guests following his renovation of the home and we could not ask for better in that rental range! Our first trip to Florida, we spent the month of January 2012 at this lovely little house in Venice. It was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Our dog, Scarlet, loved the large fenced yard & especially the doggie beach! We enjoyed fresh squeezed juice from the oranges and grapefruit from the trees in the yard every day! Our host Kyle was very friendly and helpful, as were the neighbours; enjoyed several "sundowner" sessions with them. The location is very convenient: the beaches, town centre, stores & restaurants are close-by and easy to get to. Venice, a quiet haven off the I75, is well situated for exploring other parts of Florida. We would highly recommend this property !

We had a great time. The rental property was clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the location was superb. It was small but very charming. Our dogs loved the dog beach. We would recommend this property to rent and we would rent it again.
