The property was great for our family vacation. Only negative was the charcoal grill that is difficult to use as it is not level and a little old. At this price point, maybe a gas grill would be more appropriate.

Great stay close to the beach

The house was great with a roomy great room with ample seating for our family of 16 to congregate and play games, visit, and eat! The kitchen has tons of dishes if you want to cook. There were lots of games and puzzles. The hot tub, pool, and pool table were nice too. It is about 4-5 blocks to the beach. I slept in one of the nicest rooms and loved it, a couple rooms were best suited to children due to bunk beds and trundle beds, but it sounded like most of our family was comfortable. Bring own beach towels and pool towels. We would stay there again!

The house is beautifully maintained and I was impressed with how clean and organized it was, both inside and out. One note: the kitchen is way more well appointed than advertised! Everything from coffee makers, griddle, crockpot and instant pot. Every type of pot, sauce pan you can imagine. The beach cart provided made the walk to the beach with equipment and babies easy. Thank you for the chance to reconnect with family! Easy check in and check out.

Good enough location with lots of ammenties

It is well stocked with games, beach toys, and kitchen utensils. The pool and hot tub with fun for the kids. The rooms with clean, and the shouse was spacious. Given the cost of the rentail is was very surprising that there wasn't just $25 to $50 worth of basic toiletries in each washroom. It would have been better to provide a starter kit in each washroom of toilet paper, hand soap, dish washing pods, etc. Having to head to a local Costco and or Walmart took away from a really nice vacation experiance. All they had to do, was state, here is your starter kids sufficent for all the washrooms, and then you are on your own if you exceed typical consumption. They also forgot to text us the entry code,s so we were hanging outside for 30 minutes waiting to get in well past our check-in time.

Our welcome bag includes only a starter kit for the items you mention, guests should bring their own for the duration of the stay. Very clean, nearly every cooking utensi/tool you could need (including an instant pot!) and enough space for our three families! The pool is great if you have smaller kids, only reaching about 5.5 feet deep. It’s a bit of a hike to the beach, but the two wagons made it much easier. The owners even left us a little welcome bag! Overall I would highly recommend this house.

Nice house, but not as clean as expected

The house itself is great. Love the three master bedrooms, two dishwashers, the pool table, private pool, and location. It fit our group of 10 perfectly. The only complaints I have about the home relate to the housekeeping. I stayed in this same home last summer and it was perfectly clean and everything was great. This year, not so much. When we arrived there was a large amount of sand in the pool and tons of leaves on the pool deck. Chairs were in disarray and the area looked sloppy. Not very inviting or relaxing when arriving to your vacation home. When the pool cleaners arrived on Wednesday they didn’t clean the pool. Only put chemicals in and left, didn’t even empty the filter. We ended up spending one of our mornings cleaning the leaves and sand so we could enjoy a clean pool. On the second balcony overlooking the pool deck, there was a hornets nest. We bought spray from the grocery store to take care of it ourselves. In the grill area, there was unused charcoal in the grills and all over the ground. In our king bedroom, the bed had queen sheets on it so one corner of the fitted sheet was always hanging off. The top sheet had holes in it and there were stains on the pillow cases. Thank goodness we brought an extra blanket because the ones provided didn’t fit. The tub in our master bathroom also would not drain from the first time we used it, so we couldn’t use that shower for the rest of the week since it took hours to drain. The housekeepers had to have noticed the tub not draining if they had cleaned the tub properly. There was also mold on the handle in the shower. The other master bedroom tub also started to drain slowly during the trip. In the kitchen, the ice maker on the counter did not work and was moldy inside. Lots of small spiders in the house and saw the occasional ant in the kitchen. Overall, the home could’ve been cleaned a lot better and more attention needs to be paid to the outside of the home.

A home away from home

Reviewer Comments: This house was absolutely beautiful and one of the nicest we stayed at in corolla. It was on a dead end cauldasac. The pool was big only downfall were the flies(definitely went and bought tiki torches). The kitchen was fully equipped. There were so many games for the kids to play with as well as space for them to run around. The house was clean,updated, beds were comfortable, rooms were spacious, and plenty of room to give us all space. Only downfall we had was had call to get pool and hottub serviced, the test strip showed no chemicals after 4 days of them coming out at check in. The walk to the beach was about 3.5 blocks but such an easy walk to get there. The wagon provided with house was huge help. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Clean and well stocked

Very well kept and maintained. All appliances in working order, except we had a little technical difficulty with the ice maker, one of those countertop jobs, anyway between the 2 refrigerators, it wasn't needed. Very pet and child friendly (balls, frisbees, drinking bowls were available) as were gate guards and a high chair. Much appreciated. Only issue we had was a stopped up drain in the master bath, that we discovered upon arriving and showering.. Did not notify the rental company until Monday morning (not a life or death emergency). They never returned my call so I sent an email asking if they are going to fix or should we move to another bedroom? The plumber showed up the following day (Tuesday) and cleared the drain of about 3 years worth of hair. Wondering how come the cleaning crew hadn't noticed this before? The weather was perfect for late May, so we didn't get a chance to experience the vast number of games or all the available TV channels, but they were there for us if we got rained in. Who ever is doing the pool maintenance deserves a mention. Showed up 3 times during our stay, drained and refilled the hot tub (foaming) and kept the pool clean and filled. Even though it said not to rearrange the furniture, we felt it was necessary in the pool table room. The rack has no place to hang, so is kept on an end table on the window side of the room. Not wanting a miscue to interrupt our week, we moved the table to the north side of the house, so when you are racking the balls, you will not be able to break any windows with a miscue. Everyone had a great time, pool still a little chilly in the beginning of the week, but we were all in on Th, Fr. I hope the owners get to see this message, great property and well maintained.

Family Vacation 2020

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There we 5 couples and my youngest son proposed to his girlfriend. House accommodated us comfortably.

Surfin Paws week

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was extremely clean. We were happy with all the updates and new bedroom from the year before. The pool was very clean as was the spa. The weather was less than perfect so we were grateful for a nice place to stay. I would recommend this rental.

Beautiful House ugly pool

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It's a great location a beautiful house with fond memories. However the pool looked like it needed to be replaced five seasons ago. Wrinkles big enough to trip over pool steps that were barely held together with caulk and a actual tear in the seam near the top of the pool. Some of the vegetation was overgrown as well however you cannot deny the nice interior of the house and the beautiful kitchen that was extremely well stocked. We said at this house 11 years ago when I knew my now wife for less than a month. I rented this house after years of searching for our 5-year wedding anniversary and I would have to say it was a great stay but the pool was extremely disappointing.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS EXCELLENT. WE FOUND THE HOUSE CLEAN AND EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE LOCATION WAS AS EXPECTED WITH AN EASY WALK TO THE BEACH. THE POOL AND HOT TUB PROVIDED COMFORT FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS. WE ARE CONSIDERING ANOTHER RENTAL IN THE SUMMER OF 2021.

Memorial Day Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time vacationing at the OBX and we loved it. The property was super clean and very welcoming. The pool and hot tub were a big hit along with the top floor open concept which made everyone feel as if they could spread out. My only issue was no grill. The charcoal grills reminded me to much of a parks grill and not very desirable. This caused me to bring my portable grill which took up much needed space. I would suggest investing in a decent propane grill.

To avoid taking up space in your vehicles, you could rent a propane grill through Ocean Atlantic Rentals. They have just about anything you could ever need while vacationing at the beach.
