Welcome to Barbara Street! This home in the heart of Mt. Pleasant was completely renovated in 2023. When you step inside you find a beautiful open floor plan that connects the dining room, living room, and kitchen. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook up a feast, including a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, and utensils. There`s also plenty of counter and cabinet space for all your cooking needs.

This home features 4 bedrooms. 2 bedrooms downstairs and 2 bedrooms upstairs. Downstairs you will find the master bedroom down the hall with a king bed and a private ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom downstairs and has access to a full bathroom in the hallway next to the large storage closet. Upstairs the two bedrooms share a full bathroom with a tub. The upstairs bedrooms are equipped with a queen bed and two twin beds. Additionally, there is a second living space off the kitchen downstairs equipped with a sleeper sofa. The washer and dryer are located in the second living space.

In the backyard you will find a beautiful large private deck. The deck has an outdoor dining table, a grill for cooking, and plenty of room to spread out. Relax and enjoy the wonderfully landscaped yard with a large 9 foot privacy fence. The backyard is anchored by a unique historic live oak tree that has grown uniquely since Hurricane Gracie in 1959.

No Smoking: Smoking is not permitted inside the property or in areas where smoke may linger, such as porches or balconies.
Property Damage: Guests are responsible for any damage to walls or property caused by hanging decorations or other actions.
Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM to ensure a peaceful environment for all.
Firearms Prohibited: Firearms are not allowed on the property. Any firearm found will be considered abandoned and handled accordingly.

Location Disclosure:
Charleston is a vibrant, growing city, and guests may experience typical urban sounds, including traffic, nearby restaurants, bars, or general street noise. Construction noise may also occur in the area. While we strive to inform guests of potential disruptions, we may not always have advance notice of such activities.

Guest Count: Ensure that the number of guests is correctly indicated in your booking.

Charleston does have quite a few bugs, we have a professional pest control company service the house every month. Every effort is made to present a clean home at Check-In. To minimize the impact of bugs on your vacation, keep doors/windows closed, food wrapped and store it in the refrigerator.

The property was as described. It was clean for the most part when we got there. The furniture is stained and all of the rugs are stained but the property is pet friendly. The problems we had were are communication related. We were about two hours away when we got a message on VRBO site, not even a text, saying that we would need to turn on a different street because there was some construction going on. When we turned on the street we realized that we could not even access the property with our vehicle because of the construction. The roads were dug up and equipment all around along with piles of rock. The construction started each morning at 7:00am. Two different days we were not able to use the driveway because of this construction. We had to walk to the grocery store and around the corner to get a Lyft ride. I understand the host cannot control the construction but we should have been given the opportunity to change our dates or to cancel if this was what we were going to deal with. To add to the communication issue, we were locked out of the house one day and called both numbers that we were given. We got no answer after calling four times. Then we sent text messages explaining what happened and what was going on. Still no response. Luckily one of the windows was unlocked and we got in through it. Then to top it off, I received a message asking me to leave a 5 star review. Still ignoring my message concerning the construction. Unbelievable!!!

Old Village Home

My family had an amazing stay at this beautiful home in Mt. Pleasant! The house was spotless, well-appointed, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect—quiet and peaceful, yet just a short drive to great restaurants, shops, and the beach. The host was incredibly responsive and made sure we felt right at home. The outdoor space was a wonderful bonus, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. I highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a fantastic getaway! Would definitely stay here again.

Great location to visit Charleston

House is located in a great location to visit the Charleston area. Close to restaurants and shopping. The house was clean and spacious. Furnishings are nice. Beds are comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen. Everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Beautiful backyard. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evenings and enjoying the natural beauty. Great neighborhood for walking our Ellie. Definitely would recommend. Charleston area. Close to restaurants and shopping.
